Keeping vague about what she's tracking for now in case whoever joins wants to decide <3
Raelle spent the days following her acceptance into Sapphique hunting, primarily. She didn't usually hunt; it was easier to steal her food from better hunters than her. But now that she was in a pack, she was able to eat whenever she wanted, and that did wonders for her endurance almost immediately. So it wasn't too much of a hassle to hunt.
She was following a trail now, nose low to the ground. It led her through the meadow, where she crossed the scents of several packmates. She was alone for now, but kept an eye out for anyone who might join her in this pursuit. Until she learned what kind of herbs and poisons grew around here, it was probably best to try to bond with her packmates. She just hoped they were all like Chacal, or at least similar enough to be tolerable.
Lilitu wasn't much of a hunter, either. Nor tracker— she assumed the shape in front of her was Chacal, in various shades of brown, before she grew closer and realized the scent had dashed those assumptions.

A new scent, in fact. A wolf she didn't know.

She gave a low chuff, hoping not to disturb the girl from her hunt but instead to join her.

She sunk her belly low to the earth and sidled alongside to the left, her one good eye cutting upward toward the other's face in question.

What are we hunting?
Did a little RNG and we are huntin raccoon
Raelle wasn't actually sure what kind of animal it was, but she intended to find out. Except she was interrupted. Yet another tattered wolf appeared, this time to join her hunt. Rae cast a quick glance over her, noting the missing eye, and decided she wouldn't be too much of a hindrance. But damn, you guys got WRECKED.
Made things interesting, at least. She nodded once to the one-eyed girl in acknowledgement, but otherwise did nothing to change her pursuit. Eventually she caught sight of it and gestured for her hunting companion to veer off to one side while she took the other. The idea, if the other girl caught on, was to surround and trap the dark-furred critter.
She caught the meaning, even with her one remaining eye. Raelle darted one way; she the other.

Grays-and-white caught her eye within the trees, darting in and out. A raccoon. She moved and then planted herself at the base of a sequoia and went low, low, waiting for the creature to still.

With luck, they'd pinch the quarry between them.

But it needed to still first. Lilitu lifted her head, eyes shifting to try and catch the gaze of her hunting partner. Was she already on the move?

again, feel free to roll to see if it stays put or escapes!
Raelle wasn't used to hunting with a partner, but she quickly adapted, following the one-eyed girl's cues and moving as she did. The object of their pursuit seemed to panic, catching sight of Rae first and fleeing in the direction of the other girl.
She quickly pursued, keeping some small part of her focus on her hunting partner. Whichever way the girl moved, Rae would angle herself in response to try to close in on the unfamiliar creature. If it came back her way, she would be ready.
And it did come back her way; Rae promptly found that she was not, in fact, ready. She lunged for it and found the small beast more than ready to choose a fight in the absence of flight. After a short tussle, her hunting companion arrived on the scene and dispatched it quickly. Rae was ruffled, embarrassed, and a little scratched up around her face and neck. Their success softened her shame somewhat, and so she managed to swallow her huffiness enough for introductions and a quick shared meal. Overall it was a bonding experience, or as close as Rae ever got to it, and she felt like she might have met a potential friend by the time they parted ways.
