Ike set out to hunt for his pack. His father was nearly due and he knew that Tamar and Towhee had recently had pups, so those two mothers would need food, and the fathers were probably preocupied helping to care for the young. That left him and 3 others fully free and capable of hunting so he knew he must go out. And he enjoyed it too.
The young Arete scented the air as he left the heart of the pack, and headed into the territory. He soon caught the trail of a deer but knew he couldn't take it on alone. He sniffed and searched around for another member of his pack to help him with it.
