Now that a name and location had been settled, and the pack had started gaining members, they needed rank names. Void knew Icelandic and Greek but he knew many other packs would use ranks with those languages so he turned to Meyl, knowing she knew another tongue. “What ranks should we have? I want them to be in your language.” He said. “i think ranks like Alpha, Beta, Healer, Lead Fighter, Fighter, Lead Hunter, Hunter, etc, would be a good base but tell me some in your tongue.” He said and sat down to listen to her

Aye, ya wan' know yer words in me own tongue? Thought ya'd ne'er ask.

She sat down, spine straight - the perfect example of a battle-hardened princess about to become queen.

Fer alpha, it's da same, honestly. 'Beta' be béite. 'Healer' be leigheasra. Fi'ers be trodaire, an' hu'ers be creachadóir. Fer 'lead' pos'ions, put Luaidhe af'er it. Anythin' else, darlin'?
hmm, maybe a role for those who don’t want to hunt fight or heal for the pack as their main role, and maybe want to help take care of the young? Like a pupsitter? And then a role for mothers, apprentices, our young in training, and pups themselves.” Void suggested.
The she-wolf nodded.

Aye. Suíochán laitín, fer them that wish to take care of the young. Máthair means ma'er, so that will do fine. A... welf in trainin'? 'Ow 'bout... printíseach. An' - fer young, coileán. Those sound good?
Void had little to no idea what all the names meant but he nodded. He liked the way they sounded. “Those sound wonderful. I’ll get started on making dens for each rank. One for us, which we have already, one for all hunters, one for all fighters, one for healers, one for apprentices, and one for mothers and their young. Oh, and one for betas.” He told Meyl. “Though i don’t know when we’ll have another mated pair join us to take those roles.” He added
Reminds me, what'll happen if one of the o'hers take on a mate? she asked, her head tilting. Or if, when our pups be grown, if their mate wants to join us?
"They'll be betas. and if we get two betas and then another bonded pair then deltas. or they can choose to keep their roles and just be known as mates. Our pups will obviously have seniority, so if they get a mate and come back to the pack of course they'll get a greek letter pack role, in irish of course though, but regular wolves can choose to keep their current rank and just be known as mates after we have our first pair of betas, i'd think." Void said.
That was a lot of words that didn't quite make sense to her, but she nodded anyway. Aye, then. Let's go - it be gettin' late.
Void rested his tail along her back and started to walk home with her, his body pressed close to hers with love
