The night found itself to be dreary with low lying clouds of rain peppering the foliage of the forest. A solemn figure stood alone in the mist. Every breath was visible within the low temperatures of the night, and it gave the large female an ominous look within the pines. The heat that her wet pelt gave off had a similar smoking effect. A dragon breathing fire as she went. The demoness would surely burn down the forest from her efforts, but the pines had not elicited a sign from her gods. It was not to be.

Dysis had been drawn here by the scent of the familiar trees, and she had found even more comfort in the silence of her steps whilst traversing the forest in pursuit of where she might establish a new homeland. The forests here were rife with life, but they held little against the former glory of the cathedral. The searching did last long before the she wolf abandoned her efforts in search of the river that could be heard above the whistling of the wind. The traveling had made her weary, but it was for a cause. Ludus Magnus needed a home to achieve the former glory it once beheld, but it would not be these woods.

The trees thinned before her to reveal the water source she had sought. Dysis scanned her surroundings with an ever watchful gaze before quenching her thirst. The steam from her pelt had ceased from the lack of moisture, but the river put her to shame. The waters appeared to be a fire freshly put out of commission. The peace in the silence allowed her thoughts of a certain former enemy to come to the forefront of her mind. It garnered her undivided attention as she mindlessly observed the swirls of steam drifting up and away into the night sky.

Since his return to Tuktu Hinterlands, he always had eyes on her. The woman that seemed to tether him to the here and now. Leonidas both despised yet appreciated the structure for it was due to her initiative and planning that their Empire would rise again to its former glory. Though he would never admit this to her lest he wanted to be reminded of it for the rest of his days.

If they were successful, if the two were able to claim these lands and rule over those who were worthy, only then would he reach enlightenment and curry favor with the Gods for all eternity. In simple terms, The Roman would never die, even after his final breath.

Silently the jeweled Emperor followed his soon to be betrothed until she had rested herself next to an active river. "Dysis." A command of her attention, yet the voice was soft and his eyes held no fire.
