senmut now called for the newest noble, @Naberius. the man would find the high priest standing upon the mesa in the full heat of the summer's afternoon, shimmering beneath waves of heat as he sought Ra's offering at his own expense.

keep and preserve the queen.

his prayers were silent.
The Cyrus moves with a happy skip to his beat, bounding over the red rocks of home.  His Peach and orange eyes cast out over the open terrain around. Perhaps he would go for a good run this day.

He would see the priest-prince ahead- Erpa-ha. Given by his endless devotion to the noble family. Naberius bows his head before him, knowing well to keep in the man's good graces. Greetings, Erpa-ha.
"greetings, neb."

and what ambitions were harbored by this one? "will you join me in prayer?"

the green eyes waited, weighed.
Naberius comes forward when prompted, to stand at the side of Senmut. They looked out over the mesa and the flatlands beyond as they stood on their heights. The heat of the sun on the backs of the red wolves.

Who is it we pray to today? For there were a great many gods, weren't there? Naberius did not often pray, far to engulfed in his own interests than that of the gods.
"Ra, who wheels over the sky in a fiery lunge. Ra, who singes this land to red and back again. Ra, who judges the unworthy."

and so it would be. there was no water here.

naberius must be tested by the waves of heat.

he lifted his voice in soft prayer once more.
Senmut speaks of Ra, ruler of Kings. Ruler over sun and sky. Naberius knows him well, as he knows of all the Gods, made to study such in his youth. If anything, Ra was one of the most powerful- specifically so in these lands here, where sun and sand reigned supreme.  So, despite Naberius' interest in things more, interesting, he lifts his head to sing in prayer along Senmut.
turn thy face

turn thine eyes

burn in flame for pharaoh and queen

we serve thee, master of the heavens

we welcome thy fiery gallop

we worship the flame of thy crown
