An abundance of prey is noted in Teekon. Set outside the borders so other's can meet with her.

Ajei wasn't a hunter yet. But she wanted to be able to join her mama in her hunting. So she didn't have to do it all herself. Today though it had started out as a stalking game. There'd been a larger plump rabbit, one of the biggest she'd ever seen. She had followed it. Practicing her stalking, when a broken branch had it leaping and running away.

Now granted she wasn't very big, but she could run and so chase it she did. Her little girlish giggles leaving her maw. She was so excited and so intent upon her mission that she almost didn't realize she had passed the line of the pack lands. However, she did. But when she got to the edge of the territory she stopped and stared, open mouthed.

There was rabbits everywhere, big ones small ones, baby ones. There were so many she couldn't even count that high. Then her ears went to her head. Did rabbits attack little puppies? Because this many surely they would overwhelm her. But she couldn't help but keep watching. As they ate their grass and twitched their noses. She settled to her haunches and stared.
bring to present? will it break timelines? <3

ajei was becoming braver.

kukutux enjoyed to see the child moving more freely through their village ringed by mountain teeth.

she had been to look for galana again, grimly, wondering if the child had gone after her mother.

and for sakhmet too, moonwoman searched.

today brought her in return to the village, where she paused to watch ajei, eyes moving beyond the girl to the rabbits in the small distance.
Nope all good <3

Ajei didn't know if she was becoming braver. She just stayed near home. She would cross the borders on occasion. Today was mostly an accident.

She knew that one of the children was missing. One that she hadn't known very well. And another wolf, but she didn't know who they were. She just knew the adults looked for them.

Ajei ran to the mother of the village and pointed. There so many rabbits!
"very many."

the scar she had received in that long ago hunt with astaroth seemed to twinge.

kukutux had been many things in her life. once she had believed hunting was only for men.

a smile graced the little ears. "shall we run after them?"
A gentle correction and she repeated the words quietly to herself. So she remembered to speak properly. Then she looked back towards the rabbits.

There were so many and she almost couldn't believe it. She wondered about it. What had made so many come out.

Ajei's head lifted and her ears perked up. Can we?
in answer, moonwoman drew up gracefully and leapt into a run.

"come, ajei!"

her laughter rang true and brightly as the small animals scattered, and kukutux attempted to herd several toward her sister's child, eyes shining.
Oh! Oh! They were doing this. Ajei was surprised and it only caused a fraction of a second of stillness, before she burst forward too.

Bright eyes sun kissed fur she raced. She gamboled and yipped and growled at the little creatures that her auntie thrust towards her. And she laughed high and trilling and happy.
ajei would be a good hunter. kukutux remembered those years of following her home's tradition: women did not hunt.

and yet she had become this, and had birthed hunters of her own.

now it seemed ajei would be another daughter born to it, not of her body but of her spirit.

kukutux tried now to catch one in earnest.
Ajei wasn't entirely happy with hunting. She honestly preferred the stillness that came from fishing. However, she tried her best anyway.

Moonwoman ran with her and around her showing her with lean muacle and graceful movement how to herd and move.
teeth snapped; eyes glowed; teeth once more.

jaws caught crying rabbit but did not harm.

in this she taught ajei mercy, releasing the animal and pursuing another.

kill for hunger. kill to bring others meat. do not kill for sport.
Ajei gasped softly with surprise when moonwoman let the rabbit free again. But she lesrned the lesson. She wasn't fast or strong enough. But she chased the rabbits towards moonwoman. Learning well how to herd and work together
