This one, she would try alone.

Elphaba took a deep breath as she stood outside the borders of a different pack, one shrouded in woodland and cut through by a creek. Remembering the defensive Kvarsheim wolves and how quickly they'd arrived, she wasted no time in howling to announce her presence. She wondered if Equinox had found a place yet.

Whoever came to answer her call would find her studying Swiftcurrent Creek intently from where she stood. There was nothing special about this place, not like the pack with the tall stones. But it had a wild beauty to it; she liked that.
Arric was quick to the border at the first howl. Giant and swift. Blue eyes taking in the female at the line. She smelled fsintly of Kvarsheim, but not enough that she was part of them. Perhaps a visitor.

Large head dipped down and he offered a smile. You've come to Swift current. I'm Arric.
A tall, dark-furred wolf answered her call. Elphie returned his smile easily, immediately more favorable to Swiftcurrent than she had been to Kvarsheim. Elphaba, She returned the introduction, taking note of the number of scents mixed with his own. Swiftcurrent, huh? Beautiful place. Mind telling me more about it?

But of course, he would want to know why. I'm looking for a place - my husband and I are, But not just any place. Elphie left this part unspoken. We're just looking around for now.
Arric would have laughed had he known she liked the Creek to Kvarsheim. Gunnar was sweet and familial. Some of those under him not so much, but he was sweet and ruled them well. But sometimes different strokes for different folks.

We are more warrior than hunters. We also have quite a few healers. Allies to Kvarsheim and Riverclan. Leader is Akavir. I'm the Beta. We protect our borders and help train some of the other packs with sparring.

He shifted. I hope you can find something to your liking. Being out there alone isn't always great, even with two.
Warriors. Healers. Allies. Elphaba nodded as she listened, wondering what Nox would make of this place. Based on first impressions, she thought that she might like it; Arric was friendly enough, straightforward in a way she could appreciate.

I'm a hunter, She told him, thinking. Equinox is a midwife. You guys have any rules we should know about? Aside from the obvious, you know, 'don't be an asshole'. It wouldn't be great for anyone if they got in only to discover they were forbidden from eating rabbits on Wednesdays or something. Elphie could never abide arbitrary rules, or those she thought of as such.
Arric was the friendlier of the two leaders he liked to think. But clearly Akavir was the charmer if the amount of woman that wanted him was anything to go by. He tilted an ear towards her.

He laughed and looked at her with crinkly blue eyes. Actually we joke that we are a pack of assholes, so that probably wouldn't be too much of an issue. Respect our boundaries, pull your weight and protect our borders. That's pretty much it. We have a few healers, but no midwife. Though i'm not sure if there are going to be anymore babies born this year. I don't think so. And we can always use more hunters.
