All Welcome, Trade Thread #2

Haizel continued his journey for flowers, and what luck, he found so very many of them.

It was a botanist's dream, surely he must be dreaming!

His nose began to work so thoroughly, yes! His sensitive paws feel the soil for its secrets.

Wildflowers, just like his childhood home!

The lands beyond the red palace were full of nostalgia for the foreigner.

So much so that he rolled on his back to feel the cool stems, the cool grasses, and see the flowers up close.
With several of the pack’s wolves out for the count and in need of pain management, Eshe found herself low on poppy seeds; the flowers she’d planted hadn’t matured.

She rushed through the meadow, making a B-Line for the area that Gunnar had shown her. She’d have to make sure she wasn’t over picking them, and, if there wasn’t enough, she’d have to look elsewhere.

She’d nearly made it when movement caught her attention from the corner of her eye. She slowed and turned, and that’s when she spotted Haziel rolling in the flowers. She turned towards him and smiled; his glee was a pleasant change from the doom and gloom that’d overtaken the pack lately.

”Having fun?” she asked, lifting her nose and sniffing, trying to gather some information about him.
Haizel rolled onto his stomach, the giant's sunshine eyes looking up at the stranger. He would've wagged his tail if he didn't have so many flowers around him.

His smile came as naturally as breathing, as did his innate trust in those around him and an intense tendency to talk about plants the moment he had someone's attention.

The stars aligned for this individual, it seemed.

Hi! I'm Haizel! I'm Akashingo's gardener, and I was looking at the flowers! Do you wanna talk about flowers?! he wuffed.
Im so sorry she reacted this way. ;____; Tag for reference!

He seemed friendly, and she relaxed—until he mentioned Akashingo. Her eyes widened, a lump formed in her throat, and she stiffened. Although she didn’t know the details of what’d transpired when @Akavir and Wren had visited, she recognized the visit hadn’t gone well.

She took a step away and dropped her gaze; she wanted to discuss flowers so badly, but she realized she couldn’t. What she needed to do was tell Akavir about this.

”I wish I could,” she said, swallowing hard and taking another step back. ”But, I have somebody expecting me.”

With nothing left to say, Eshe scurried away and headed north. She went the long way around, traveling by waterways when she could to hide her scent. The trip took her half a day longer than it should have, and when she got home, she went to Akavir and told him what’d happened.
Haizel watched as the wolfess disappeared into the distance.

He wondered what that was about, and if he'd upset her.

Oh well, he guessed.

He was rich in flowery friends.
