all welcome! for visibility: @Sialuk @Elentari @Argent @Acrux

she was oblivious to the world outside of the ulaq. her mothers, her fathers, her grandmothers, and her brother were all that she knew. she ate from whichever mother was available, she slept, and she ate again. she dreamt of things she did not know, things that had been, and things that were yet to come. by the time she woke, she had forgotten all of it and focused her efforts on finding food and moving her small, pudgy body in whatever way she could. all the while, maggak felt the love that was bestowed upon her by each and every being that made an appearance in the ulaq.

the small child wiggled her way now toward some familiar smell, her squashed nose seeking out something that not even she could determine was good or bad. luckily for her, it was just another one of her housemates, and she had nothing to fear from the comfort of the deerskin that was the only home she had ever known.
Often, she lay curled around close to her dear partner, Sialuk. Relishing in the tenderness of the affection exchanged from one mother to another, passed down in plenty to their children. Huddled near, contrasting pelts like ying and yang, almost as if a perfect representation of the balance in their relationship.

The children were healthy. They wanted for nothing. Kept warm, clean and fed, Elentari always found she had plenty of time for them both. When Sialuk needed to tend to her duties as head of the village, or just take a break from parenting, the Archer was always there to fill in.

In the outside world, not all was quite so peaceful. Word spread like wildfire in Moonspear, and she had learned of the harm brought upon @Seal and @Njord. A devil in orange and black striped skin. Clawed paws dwarfing the size of any bears.

It made her nervous, the thought of such a beast running loose. As Maggak shifted, scuttling towards the plumed tip of her tail, she crooned in a comforting sound. The flowers that Seal had brought her shortly before her birth, she had fashioned together along a delicate spring vine. A decoration...a memory. She reached for them, letting one pale blossom of white gently sit close, enough to be reachable.

Bless her. Bless them. Keep them safe.
Elentari's soft voice woke Sialuk, and she blinked her eyes into the darkness of the ulaq. There was no cause for alarm, no worry on her mind for the two little balls of fluff that mingled with each other. While she had not thought of it before, it was rather lucky that they had been born so close to one another. Both Elentari and Sialuk could nurse the two children, and Sialuk had been doing just that. If one of them should need to depart, there was always another mother here to comfort them until their return.

The starwoman reached her muzzle out to kiss her lover's nose, content in their downtime. They are both perfect, she said, matter-of-fact.
