Sunlight poured through the den mouth and lured the young wolf out into the open.

Nazair gazed up, reveling in the warmth that baked into the dark hairs of his body. He stretched out, yawning wide, and found a comfortable state on his belly. Above his head, a butterfly with bright blue wings fluttered to the nearby brush. His eyes followed the motion of it, compelled to chase it just as much as he was compelled to lounge in the sunlight.
Leifa was a girl of great adventure. Restlessly, she'd spend many days exploring the densite and surrounding area as far as her puppy legs could take her. Returning from one such expedition, she spied Nazair emerging like a baby rabbit from its burrow and her face immediately cracked in a toothy grin.

She would cover his face in a bounty of messy licks before the butterfly finally pulled her attention away from her brother. With one paw still draped lazily over his back, Leifa watched as it fluttered in circles, blue wings catching brilliantly in the sunlight, before it landed perfectly on the tip of Nazair's nose.
Baldr waited for his brother to expose himself first, yawning contently as he was rewarded for his patience when his brother took the majority of their enthusiastic sister's attention before she bounded off after something Baldr couldn't see. After a quick stretch, he too moved out into the sunlight, spotting the slate that Nazair had chosen to lay down on. He moved closer, and with one curious pawpad, he felt the stone to judge its warmth- and found it to be an ideal temperature.

Making sure not to disturb Nazair too much, he hoped his brother might share if he very carefully, very gently lay down next to him- only to stumble at the last moment over his own paw and teeter sideways onto him by accident!
Hope it’s okay to continue this cute thread. <3

Leifa came!

She peppered him with kisses and swung her leg over his figure. The boy smiled sweetly at her. He nudged beneath her chin with a wet nose - a welcome, a show of love.

The butterfly fluttered down to his nose and Nazair froze. It’s bright colors were nearly blinding. The boy gazed upon it with captivated interest. He could only hope that he would become as beautiful, some day.

And then came Baldr. The boy had made a fine attempt until he’d fumbled. Nazair felt the weight of his twin. He yapped in surprise, squished beneath the weight of his siblings and their tangling legs.

The butterfly lifted into the sky and vanished.
Poor Nazair, he was slowly but surely becoming a wolf-shaped pancake! Mouthing at his ear to check he was still okay, she too watched as the butterfly lifted off into the sky. Maybe it was off to see it's brothers too! Leifa marvelled at how warm and fuzzy it felt to be amongst her family; after a hard day's exploring she could always count on them being here.

Her sweet moment was interrupted by Baldr's blunder which knocked the redhead off balance and she fell to the ground in a fit of giggles. He was so clumsy!
It took a bit of effort for the rotund boy to right himself, sliding off his brother as quickly as he could, though he wound up on his back with his paws in the air like a tipped-over-turtle. He lurched, trying to tip himself over, but paused when he heard Leifa's laughter. Tucking his paws to hic chest, he set the flat of his crown against the earth to gaze her way, only to start laughing himself at the sight of what his sister looked like when he was upside-down.
