It took Ivev forever to drag herself back to the brackish den hidden away by the small, diluted stream. It was a chilly but clear evening, and red light filtered down through the interlocking leaves above. The forest had always been rather dark, and now the long autumn dusk lengthened the shadows of the trees and created a feeling of abandonment. Ivev wanted nothing more than to see the blue sky as she succumbed to the pain all over her body, for in Blackfoot forest she felt utterly alone.

Branches devoid of green as they prepared themselves for winter stabbed her gaping wound on her shoulder like dark knives, tearing away bloody tufts of fur. She had long since giving up limping, and let her back leg drag dejectedly along the ground. Ivev took longer than needed to find her den, her mind clouded and foggy as she took several wrong turns. At least a stroke of luck was on her side; the female stopped to pull up the leaves of wild strawberry. Carrying them in her mouth, Ivev gingerly entered the den, eyes shut against the pain as the arctic wolf lowered herself into the hollow. Grinding up the leaves in her teeth, she spat them out onto her shoulder.
She didn't know about her leg, as it was a mess of tendons and bleeding veins. Her mouth was open and panting against the pain as it continued to send ribbons that scalded her mind. Spent, her skull dropped, defeated, to the den's ground.
◆jeez, I didnt even get a tag notification. Trust me, I would have been here so much sooner. ◆

Vector had been released from captivity and the the first thing on his mind were the basics. Find food. Get pack caches in perfectly measured and overflowing in capacity, ensure the borders were rank with the strong scents of the flourishing pack, and to insure his was among them.

Acros the lands he had already begun to memorize, the russet russian added more to his mental map, understanding the position of every stone, the location of every bush, the coordinates of every tree and prey hideaway.
The recon would know this land, inside and out.

Speaking of out, ...
Instantly, his mind had stopped right then and there, it proving it's capability to stop him in his thought travel.
An extreme and uncomfortable amount of force took him back to the cloud of thpught that he left off of.
Her. The Ivory girl. Pure as snow. Innocent. The only good he has encountered in this foreign lands he now had to call home.
And as tactfully as he had to wait for freedom, he did the very same thing that caused him his longer times in captivity.
But with liberty, he now had to face no consequences.

The russian set out, idly wondering if the Ivev had taken fond to the den he had shown her, seemingly ages ago. As if on cue, his mind came up with a web of questions, primaries.
Was she alive still? Well fed? Well denned? Did she require anything to keep her alive and functioning?

Soon, the scent was struck. He smelled her. Her scent was tainted a bit, but assuming it was a hunting accident, the man pushed aside the strength of salty and coppery tang of blood.
Everyone made mistakes.

Rounfing the aspens that littered the land, he silently walked into the clearing that was right before the den that held the girl's scent. A light and quiet bark made way for the den entrance, after Vector made sure no others were near.

"Ivev?"

If it hadn't been for her stupidity, they would never gotten into this situation. The backlash of Ivev shambling around the Bypass would no doubt find it's way to the Russian, and she hated herself for it. Ivev should've left moons ago, should never have approached Vector in the first place...

Her face lifted towards the mouth of the den, blinking groggily as she had quickly drifted off to sleep before. The bark had roused Ivev's ears moments ago, and it took forever to move her neck. Gray light filtered into the hollow in which she rested, and the thought of trying to crawl out of the hole was intimidating. Her back leg had stopped bleeding, with the fur around it crusty with dried blood. It had finally settled down into a dull throb.

In here, Ivev croaked, but part of her didn't want to see Vector. He should've never come back. The pain of what she had caused was stronger than the bite wounds along her limbs. Even more embarrassing was that Ivev had purposely gone looking for him, only to have Shadow catch her in the act.
'Her voice. .. it is weak. '
Maybe the loner life was one that should not have been her chosen path. Emerald irises pierced the stiffling darkness, as the Russian continued his silent gait into the den.
God, the Smell. . It was a smell of pain. Of weakness. Of pity.

"I can only imagine what sort of animal did this to you. Was it bear, or Wolverine? "

Vector wanted to drag the girl out into the light so he could better assess her wounds, for the perfume of crimson hung thick in the air.
The snow fae was wounded, and needed medical assistance.

The arctic female retreated farther into the den to make room for Vector, hunched up against the far wall. Roots and dirt cradled her side as Ivev curled up, tucking her tail on top of her mauled leg. But for the bruises on her battered body, the tundra bird's eyes were icily still.

No... It was nothing, she responded with a quiet voice. It was the beginning of her cutting ties. Ivev swallowed, tearing her gaze away from him.

Vector, I have to leave. I should've never taken you up on that offer to stay here. Although the wolf could only hope she would heal, Ivev knew that staying here was not an option. She caused far too much trouble- all she wanted to do was dissapear or sink into the ground. The last choice sounded pretty good, as the pain was beginning to return. Ivev wondered if her leg would knit correctly, or if she might be cursed with a permenant limp.
◆my god, I think im in love with Ivev...◆

The hidden truth remained still in the air, and Vector heard her holding back. She was holding back from him. Instead of anger, the recon's mind began its everlasting job of attempting to piece together the story.
Her story.

"Ivev", he called to her softly, the accented voice of his making her name alone, seem exotic.
"Talk to me,..I promised you protection. A thing I do not take for granted is my promises. "

His voice, it had concealed the concern he held for the fae, the desire to find her pain, and bring an eternity of torture to it. With his lazer like emerald optics, the russian continued to spear the darkness, until he heard her scoot over for him. Oblidging, he flattened and thinned his muscular form, fitting snuggly next to hers.

Wait...no.
No.
The moment he received contact with her body, he mistakenly inhaled the true and unmasked scent of her wound,...and the other scent that came along with it.
A scent he knew. A scent who had become branded within his time of Noctisardor Bypass.
The scent of Hadrian's stale saliva.

Before he could prevent himself from reacting, his body tensed, already prepared for a fight.
Damn, he should have known this would happen. His brain had pieced her words together, fibally working out the meaning behind them.

..I shouldnt've never taken you up on that offer to stay here.

Chert.

Slowly, he retched himself from the den, his movements forced.
Let this be a mistake. A misunderstood happening.
A mistake.

"Ivev, show yourself. Come out."

If the assassin could have helped himself, he would not have had the words sound like a command, but merely a suggestion. Alas, he could not, and the more he pushed, the more his anger pulled, lulling him to see the world in a slowly familiar and sickening crimson.

"Out. Now."
thanks <3 she's one of my oldest characters

She felt comforted when Vector crawled into the den and his fur brushed against her's. It made her close her eyes for a moment, hating the pain that this would cause, along with her wounds. But, perhaps Ivev deserved these bodily scars for the torment she would cause on herself by turning away from her only friend in Teekon.

The demand the male placed on her made Ivev's furry ears flatten against her skull, but she knew she couldn't hide in the den forever. Leaving the warmth she had created in the small space, Ivev hauled herself from the opening and into the gray, wintering light. Night was beginning to fall, and soon the dropping temperatures would leave icy droplets of dew hanging from the bare branches. Normally, Ivev would revel in the beauty of coming winter, but now all she could do was look plaintively into Vector's green gaze.

The brief time she had been allowed to rest caused most of the blood to dry and gel her white hair into bloody tangles. Crawling from the brambles Ivev straightened, balancing on three legs, wincing as her upper left shot pain from her shoulder. The feeling had been so constant Ivev was lulled into a state of drowsiness, wanting nothing more than to curl up and let sleep take all of the hurt away. Nothing more than to find herself in an eternal Dream, flying on the back of an owl than being stuck out in this morbid forest and surrounded by enemies.

Look at what I've done.
Ivev locked her eyes on him.
He will rip you to pieces over my stupidity.
◆there's gonna either be death to Vector or death to Shadow, or an Exile, and Vector is gonna attempt to guide her for the rest of his life. xD Prepared to be a Nereides? ◆

Vector watched, and if someone had been keeping their eyes on his, they could see how the glint in them shone, the gems hardening with obviously renewable hatred.
That fucking prick.
A study of her body ensured that he got every single detail of her mangled fur, her torn muscles, her streaked fur, her stained pelt.
The observations were buried, burned, a permanent fixtures of image in his mind.
An image he would never forget. Ever.

"Chto sluchilos' yebat'?"

Death. It would be delivered. Until his dying breath, he would hunt down his leader, and not stop until he was dead.
It had dawned on him that he spoke in russian to the injured and apparently pained beauty.

"The plan. I will fix you. I will return you to health. You will be well, and living. And when I return to you the next time, you and I, we will journey to a place far beyond this ppathetic and filthy excuse of a land. We will find a home. I will find a safe place for you. And I damn sure will not let this happen again. Ever."

Unaware of the trouble his alpha had already been facing, the russian made a oath to himself.
Hadrian would bleed before him. He would be sure of it.

"None of this is your fault, devushka. You are innocent. In my eyes, you will forever be innocent. Rest. I will return with foods and medicines."
sure! whatever you want- i do already have a char in AS, just sayin. we could also open the opportunity of vector finding a healer and bringing them here so that person could work on their trade

The wolf visibly slumped to ground, sitting on her rear and splaying out her injured leg. Her ears seemed to wilt. Ivev was raised to be a shaman for her pack, known as a Dreamer, but there was only so much she could do while this weak. The leaves she had found were a godsend, but that was about it. The forest was foreign to her, and Ivev was afraid she might pick something that was poisonous than pure.

Although the sound of a language similar to her natal one was soothing, the meaning was somewhat lost on her. She understood čo, or what, that was about it. But what Vector spoke next caused her eyes to rouse from their sleepiness and gaze at him. For what he said, he spoke in a together context.

I caused more harm than good,
Ivev reminded him, but he responded with his pledge that she was innocent. Ivev could never say that she was, but never had the female felt bloodlust or deadly anger. She seemed to hover in a perpetual state of reality and being tied loose into the spiritual world of insanity.
◆hmmm, trying to plan this out for us because Vect is getting Exiled from NB. Me and Will talked out the fight outcome, and we came to a fair agreement. Trying to figure out the route that would be easiest for you and I. If this is too detailed, just pm our future. W_^V ◆

The russet only knew the basic healings, the methods that could heal only minor gashes and other things.
Survival methods. He could imagine himself in her paws. If this were him, he would be patched up, already. On his way to recovery.
But it wasn't.

"You need a better shelter. I will warm you up in this little den, until you sleep. But first, food. I will return soon."

A swift leap of the russian sprinted him to the location of the closest weasel den. Without wasting any time, onyx claws shredded the dirt, hooked into the soft fur of the beefed up mammalian, and ripped it out of its destroyed respite of a home. Only a audible crunch and a squeak pierced the silent night.
As promised, Vector returned.
He placed the steaming fresh corpse at the bloodied and cracked paw tips of the girl. Eat your fill, and your body withh take the nourishment, and assist your healing as you sleep. Take your meal to the den, and I will sleep with you, Ivev. You need all the warmth you can get."
ok, last post from me then- i was thinking OS or RHC as options too, i know they have less members. should i find a healer to help or no? just pm me xP

Ivev wavered in the mouth of the den as Vector dissapeared, and reappeared with a catch of weasel. She wasn't hungry, but the wolf would drag it inside the den with herself and keep it until she was. Ivev had fallen silent and sleepy. Backpedaling into the den, she found herself curled up in the dirt and leaf mat, drifting in and out of consciousness as Vector came and took up the remaining space. She was lucky to have him; he was like a personal space heater. Ivev wanted to stay awake and see if Vector could go find some more plants, but her medicinal plant knowledge was limited to the Arctic Circle, and even then, her training had never focused on that.

Night.
Her voice was raspy and soft, twining with her closed eyes and jaw open as her chest panted slightly. Finally, her body had succumbed to the pain and let sleep combat the fierce feelings that emenated from her wounds.
◆understood. Ill pm you and we'll plan you out accordingly. In RhC, I got Ashton therr, and from what I know of so far, he's maybe the only healer there. So unless its random and wierd to rp with myself between 2 charecters, I def dont mind. xD its up to Per and Fox though. Good thread though, Iv. ♡ ◆

Vector scooted in, keeping his body as a block between the entrance and the fae, incase of any intruders. He hoped to keep the girl warm, provide her protection. He knew in the morn, he would look at her wound, do what he could. However, he could only do so much.

He waited in the darkness, for her breath to even and become more spaced out, indicating she was in slumber. Yet, the girl surprised him with a nightly parting, and before she drifted to the dream land,

"Spokoynoy nochi, krasivaya."

Vector too, succumbed to sleep, his even placed breath following in unison with hers, and whether or not the artic princess dreamed, he did not know.
But the russian did not dream.
And for that, he was glad.
