She'd been avoiding @Faustus.

Not for lack of want for his company, his friendship. Put simply, Andromache had never had a friend. She'd never had the time, nor the opportunity; a princess had no equals, only those beneath her. A princess, her father had always said, must take great care in where her favor falls. A noble sentiment that had only ever amounted to isolation.

Now, she floundered. The princess finally settled on bringing gifts by way of apology: a fish from the river and a beautiful river stone, a deep blue dappled with pale green and sandy tones. She wasn't sure at all what she would say, but hoped that the gifts would speak some of it for her.
The Valley, as it was now, did not have much to show for it. Barren and understated, with drygrass abound and a piercing sun, oaken shade the only solace.
And necessary physical labor when there was no empire meant doing it yourself. But perhaps there was pride in that.
In the far stretch where the mountains hang over in largesse is where he'd decided to begin the construction of his den. Shaded neatly yet with a clear view upon the hillside, and a pool just to the east, it seemed as though it would be perfect! And even as his back shimmered with soreness and his paws caked with dirt, he had found some sense of peace in the hum-drum.
And as he found himself in a lull with crystalline heat upon his forehead, his kyrĂ­a appears in the corner of his eye. Ah, Andromache, he greets with his typical flashy smile, though his eyes rounded in genuine awe at the grand presentation. what is this you've brought me?
