Melody had spent time in the basin, lingering after she showed it to @Senmut; when she went to him again it was with words of a vision. A golden place, she told him; a golden place where something precious might be found. Pharaoh, she believed, though she did not say it. Whether he met her words with skepticism or belief, Melody departed almost at once.

Several days of wandering finally came to fruition when she found the valley. The Hemet went very still for a moment, only staring in mild shock at the place she had half-suspected did not exist at all. But she felt it — she felt it here, that gift she'd sensed. Melody pressed forward after a moment, her heart thudding starkly in her chest.
She had seen this before—the way the wind moved through the tall, golden grass like it was water. It looked even more ethereal now that she was here. Her visions hadn't done it justice but they had helped her know she was in the right place. She had been seeing gold for weeks; she had seen the wet ground beneath her pale paws. And she had known the journey wouldn't be easy. But it was necessary. She had to hunt for herself and it was impossible to stay clean. There were certain comforts she had grown accustomed to that she had to give up while she searched for the meaning of her visions. She knew once she reached her destination that something important would be waiting for her.

She was thirsty after traveling and took advantage of the first water she found. She drank from it and then washed her paws. When she was done, she moved through the grass, stopping when she saw the woman. She was beautiful, her coat made of all the colors of the earth. Ashikaga felt drawn to her. She knew instantly that she was meant to find this stranger. Somehow this wolf was meant to help her. They were both meant to meet here.

The princess walked forward, head held high like she'd been taught. When she was close enough to speak, she stopped. I am Nebuki Ashikaga. I believe I have been sent here to find you.
There, in the distance; a dream come alive, divinity descended from the heavens. Pharaoh; for a moment Melody could scarcely breathe, scarcely think. It was her! Pharaoh had returned to them, and all would be well now, and Melody would not be so forgotten, and —

Pharaoh approached in all her royal bearing, and Melody's heart clenched up tightly in her chest as she realized that — that... this was not Pharaoh at all. The girl spoke. Ashikaga. Had she heard that name before? No, surely not, but Melody felt as if she knew it all the same. Makono's mirror image; surely it meant something.

Yes, She breathed before she could think too much about it, and then louder: Yes, I was sent here, too. I'm Melody - from Akashingo. Hemet.

Those beautiful blue eyes. She'd thought she would never see them again.
Melody from Akashingo. She was sent here too. Then you must know my father, the pharaoh. Ramesses. She must need to return home; all her visions had pushed her here and now she knew it was because Akashingo had been calling her home.

And the woman, Melody, she was hemet. She was beautiful. She must be a gift from the gods for being so patient while she toiled away in someone else's empire. The gods were gracious when they wanted to be.

You must take me home. I believe I have been sent here to return to my rightful place. Where exactly that was in Akashingo, she didn't know yet. But she would soon find out.
