@Rodyn

It was mid-morning, and it had been a few days that his eyes and ears had opened. While he could only see blurry shadows right now, he watched them like a hawk when he was awake. The other tiny one, who he would come to know as his brother, @Panuk, stayed here, while the other ones seemed to go through a hole in the wall and disappear. He may have been a day shy of three weeks old, but inside he was going on three months and ready to go.

One of the bigger shadows had left the den, and he decided he would follow this time. His tiny legs didn't seem to be under control just yet, and there were plenty of moments that he wobbled and tipped over. But, he kept getting back up, and though it took him quiet a while, he finally reached the outside.

He whined when the light hit his sensitive eyes and he closed them against the brightness. But he wanted to see! He would open and close them repeatedly until it no longer hurt to keep them open. Everything was still blurry shadows, but there were so many more shapes! Little grunts were released from his maw as he moved forward through the mouth of the den.
The morning had been cooler, but it had heated up. Rodyn had arrived after a border patrol and a hunt to find one of his sons wide eyed and curious.

Rolayne had seemed to watch for a time as the older children came and went. And finally he got brave enough to try. Though part of Rodyn yearned to pick him up everytime he fell, he knew that wouldn't be a good lesson. So he waited with baited breath, barely breathing.

Rolayne finally made it and Rodyn followed behind. His much larger shadow encompassing his child.

What are you doing, Rolayne?
acrux had been out collecting more decor for his boulder-fort when his black bear little brother emerged from the ulaq. the small bundle of twigs he'd been dragging dropped to the earth with soft thuds before the patter of excited paws came barreling towards the father and son duo. "rollliieee!!!" the babe called out as he approached the pair, tail spinning behind him with enough force that it's a reflief he hadn't started flying.

the thought that his denmates could now join him outside was a wonderful prospect for the boy, especially when he could show them his absolutely awesome and totally rad mancave that they could play on together now.
A large shadow suddenly loomed over him, and he turned his head. The blurry outline was big and he had to lift his head way up. Unfortunately, he went a bit too far and ended up rolling onto his side, his little legs flailing in the air for a moment. He grunted as he righted himself and propelled himself forward towards the legs of the wolf before him.

He was coming to know that voice now that his ears had opened. It was around often. Sometimes it gave him baths which he didn't particularly like, but he did like when he could bite it, which is what he was intending to do now.

His attention was diverted when a new sound came. Again, a familiar one, and he liked this one, too. But, he still wanted to bite the one who bathes him. He turned his attention back to who he would come to know as Dad, and his open jaws hoped to clamp down on something, maybe a toe. His milk teeth had began to come in, so those should help.
A soft chuckle at his eldest son. Who strained to see so hard he rolled. It was cute. Rolayne righted himself just fine though.

The pup was coming right at him with tiny teeth bared and he knew well how those little milk teeth felt. It was not comfortable.

He raised a paw and gently poked at the child's side. Though he did offer a greeting to the other boy.

Acrux! It is good to see your face. but all to late the teeth met supple flesh and Rodyn grimaced.
he was greeted by the older of the pair, and in return he let out a happy, "hi!" just as his brother launched an assault on the father's toes. "braatax," he let out as he outstretched a paw to tap on his brother's shoulder. "no nice!" he said, as if he were a parent scolding their child. "no bite toesies." they probably didn't taste too good either.

ah! that's what it was, brother was hungry, of course. acrux scampered back off in the direction of his fort only to reappear with deer hoof clamped tightly in his jaws. he placed the treat beside his little brother and nudged it a bit closer. there, that would taste better to chew on than any toes would.
Rolayne was bumped on his side, and then on his shoulder. Adverse to such handling, he turned to attack with open jaws, but by the time he got his body turned around, the paws that nudged him were long gone. He huffed in annoyance and thought about turning around to try and sink his tiny teeth into toes again.

But, a few moments later a new smell reached his nostrils, and it was one he simply could not turn away from. He sucked in the scented air and wobbled his body forward until his nose touched the hard surface. He opened his jaws and clamped down before jerking back. He was not accustomed to such stiff things. He was used to soft flesh. Still, he tried again, but the thing was immovable and he couldn't seem to get anything out of it. A tiny little disgruntled growl escaped from his throat as he brought his claws up to scrap at the surface of the hoof. Still, nothing.
rodyn can be skipprd a few rounds. For pups to play

A soft chuckle at Acrux's small outrage at his adopted brother chewing on toesies. Rolayne was excited to move on towards the hoof and Rodyn settled to his haunches to watch over them both. He'd let Rolaynectry and learn first then he'd step in to help him learn to chew if he must, but he figured he'd be okay.
success! toesies were off the menu today and deer hoof was on as the special. acrux gave a satisfied little nod at his younger brother's attempt at the hoof. he watched for a bit, silent as could be, before the childish desire to play stirred within him.

he pressed his chest low to the earth while his hind remained high in the air, tail wiggling happily behind him. and then a moment later he snuck forward and pounced to grab a chunk of the hoof, not aiming to steal it from braataa, but simply coax him into a game of tug-of-war.
Rolayne may have been much smaller, but his heart was all in it. He grasped the hoof with his little milk teeth and tugged with all his might. A tiny growl was released from his throat as he tried to take it from Acrux. And he fully believed he could.
