i'm only posting this one time here.

Meerkat's children grew quickly. Sialuk saw Seal often, inviting her to the ulaq for lessons whenever she was free for an afternoon. Orca appeared less ambitious than her sister, though Sialuk expected it was only a matter of time before the dark sister found her own path. With this came an idea to the starwoman, but one she wished to bring to her sister and @Njord before she brought it to the children.

She approached cautiously, carrying with her an assortment of remedies that might sooth the councilor's ongoing malady. There were herbs that would help clear her nose, a section of fat that might soothe her throat, and a freshly-made fox pelt. These things she brought to the ulaq @Meerkat and her husband shared, then laid out her plan.

When the moon is full once more, I will take Rodyn's children back to the sea village, she said. Seal, if she wishes, should join us to see their ways. There is another thing, too. It will not be long before Seal and Orca will go from girls to young women. I wish to have them spend time in another village, learn things. When they come back, we will give them gifts and make a celebration of this new stage in their lives. Time will pass, Maggak and Acrux will learn this way as they near the age beyond children.

With the plan in place, Sialuk took her leave, her familiar parting words the only thing said as she made her way back to her own bustling ulaq. Long days and pleasant nights.
Njord was sat outside the Sveijarn-Corten ulaq, tending to Meerkat, when Sialuk arrived. He called out a hearty greeting and then exchanged plesantries as medicines were delivered to his wife.

Some small talk was exchanged and then Sialuk shared her mind.

“Ah’m certain Seal would want tae accompany ye” Njord assured her. “She was ravin’ tae Meerkat ‘bout her trip tae Sweetharbor with Towhee,” a breathy laugh. “Ah ken she takes after her ambassador mother,” he said with warmth as his gaze met Meerkat’s.

Sialuk’s next words pleasantly surprised Njord. He was excited for his daughters to gain life experiences and leverage the benefits of a multi-pack village life. It was a privilege Swordfish, Stingray, and Mercy never had… and the thought of their first litter made Njord feel a tad morose.

“Ah look forward tae this,” he voiced his agreement and looked at his partner, eager to know her thoughts.

Then, when Sialuk took her leave Njord turned to look at his wife.

“Young women already?”
Njord muttered under his breath in a whimsical tone. “Where ‘as tha time gone?”
