@Rodyn had returned again, this time to stay and with his children in tow. Time had not papered over all the marks of Samani's passing and yet she felt settled, as if she could feel the joy of having him back and of meeting these two new faces. She had filled caches, hunted for their return, and done her best to be whatever Moontide needed of her. But now she headed in the direction of their den, a pair of small rabbit kits hung from her jaws, battered and still, but alive.

Looking for @Panuk and @Rolayne but all welcome!
Rolayne laid just a couple of feet from the den's entrance. Since he first emerged from it, he had spent every moment he could out here. Of course, as a growing pup, he still got plenty of rest inside it.

He had a stick between his paws, chewing on it, content for the moment. That is, until movement caught his eyes. They went wide as the wolf approached with something furry in her jaws. Rolayne knew exactly what this meant: Food!

Chow time was one of Rolayne's favorite times. The adults always brought something yummy, and Rolayne expected nothing less this time around. The stick was instantly forgotten as he jumped to his paws and bounded over to the adult with excited yips coming from his throat. He jumped at the fluffy meals, begging the adult to let them go so he could feast. He didn't realize yet that they were still alive.
Rolayne came readily and Heph smiled through her prey still clasped into her jaws. Evidentially not fast enough for the pups she set down the other kit heavy on the ground, stunning it, but the other she set in front of Rolayne, it let out a cry of protest and struggled but only moved its legs, and did not scamper off. Grinning she crouched down, better to keep an eye to make sure the prey did not run off and to greet the two young wolves at eye level.

"Good-day. Here you are, I brought a surprise snack." Her tail wagged out as she waited to see what the young pup would do with it. There was no need for her to interfere.
