for @Rodyn, if you have time! <3

It had been a very long time since Sialuk had sung the songs, and yet they came back to her with ease. She sang the night they arrived, and she would sing each night until all nine songs brought her sister to the island of the dancing lights. She sought Rodyn now for their second night of songs, the long low howl calling out for him as dusk began to settle on the world. It seemed fitting that this was the day they would truly lay her dear sister to rest, just as the world began to settle into darkness for many months to come.

With spring, the world would reawaken, new children would be born, and the process would repeat itself just as it had generations before Sialuk and Rodyn came into this world. She did not think the cycle would come to an end, and she did not think the cycle had a beginning. It simply was.
Always have time for you. Tags for reference

Rodyn had been settling the kids in on the first night. He knew they were less than happy to be here. But they would learn that it was home and he hoped that the others from the spear would visit often to help with the transition. Especially Maggak and Acrux. He hadn't been able to join her at the edge, but he had lifted his voice that first night, though it had hurt and his voice had wavered.

Sialuk called for him and he made sure to have @Heph keep an eye on the babes and then with determined steps, and teary eyes he found Sialuk. It was painful for the hunter, but he knew this was part of the process and it would hopefully lessen some of his grief to fully say goodbye in a way that Samani would have done for him were their roles reversed. Though he would not want his lovely wife to feel this type of pain, not ever.
Rodyn appeared, dutiful as ever, and she greeted him with a friendly silence.

Before we sing, will you tell me the story of how you met her? she asked.
Sialuk was very different than her Anaa and Sistra. Not that it was a bad thing. He actually thought of her more like Sun Man and Kausiut with her silent watchfulness. Perhaps it was her love of spirits and other world things.

Her words drew a shy smile from his lips and his eyes sparkled gently as he traveled down memory lane. It had been such a warm day and he had been quite frankly a mess. She had been beautiful, with the sun dappling on her peachy fur. Breathtaking and so kind.

It had been a warm day. The peak of summer. I was digging a den, when I met her i was covered in dirt. It was on my nose amd between my toes.

A soft chuckle. Samani hadn't even commented or noticed.

She of course handled me with grace and kindness. We spoke of homes and family. I tried out my grasp of your language. And I taught her to fish. It was a beautiful day and it is one of my most treasured memories.
Summer felt as though it was a million miles away from here in the chill of the current weather. It would only grow colder as the nights consumed the world. This, too, was a cycle Sialuk had come to know and respect. She was happy to know that her sister would live on in Rodyn's memories, just as she would live on in her blood-kin's thoughts and stories.

Are you ready to sing? she asked. Sialuk had reigned in her voice the past few days when talking, but her singing had been raw and clear. It was the only way she knew to truly bring peace to her sister and to her own spirit.
Rodyn had seen many seasons in his short time on the mortal earth. Summer was not his favorite, until Samani had come into his life. He still preferred Autumn.

He nodded with a small swallow. A lump in his throat, but it would lessen he hoped. This was harder than he imagined, but she deserved it.
last one from me! <3

Rodyn gave his go-ahead, and Sialuk led their voices into the night air. It would be long before they finally fell quiet, and she would return to comfort Panuk and Rolayne and assure them that this place would care for them just as Moonspear had. She would return when she could, and they could visit village Moonspear whenever they wished.
Rodyn lfted his voice to mingle with hers. Singing his peachy queen to sedna and the stars. Tears mingling down the nridge of his maw. But his heart felt a little lighter.

He'd spend time with his sons. And then hunt something for Sialuk to take to the spear.
