The length of her maw pushed down, it tilted up when the scent of Khusobek treaded down into her nostrils. Then his sight. The closer he drew, the louder her hyena whines and the faster her tail furiously waved greeting between her legs. With the tips of her ears pressed to her scalp for no more than a solitary moment, she bounced on her feet before settling to a still. However long that would last.
“That’s a boring way to die! I need something more fun!” She stated, her eyes coming to an immediate narrow as she questioned the concern of the faces she’d seen. At least, concern was the closest emotion that could be explained from her range of understanding. Whether or not she actually processed it as true concern was quiet. That was a stupid way to die. “Too boring, too lame!” she snorted, irritation snaking around her vocals as she shot her attention to walls. Then, her pupils expanded.
“HEH?”
Staring at Khusobek, she squinted. Her paw raked across the ground. “That wrinkly ritzy snakeskin? Ohhhh- WHY? He smells like sparkly goat spit!” At a stand now, her tense body immediately fell defeated in the muscles as if she was being shot into oblivion.
Her eyes came to obnoxious rolls towards the back of her head once the first sentence started. So? She was not the Queen? Then if the Queen was a Queen, she should have the Queenly sense of smell that Rashepses smelled like sparkly goat spit! Case-and-point! The imps lip pouted. Why not her Erpa-ha? He was sparkly, handsome, but he smelled better!
For every external whine,
a black flame started to burn her body from the inside out. For it was not that Rashepses smelled like sparkly goat spit, no. Not at all; though, maybe in part.
Because she wanted to worship erpa-ha in a thrones room with a crown, not only in a holy chapel with a cross.
In some twisted sense, she thought of it literally. Simply bowing in silence. In devotion.
Her little grin returned. She slipped beside Khusobek with a stretched waist, tail twisting. "YES!" Her teeth clicked. A fullbody shiver crossed her flank beside him. "Come! Lead me! You gotta know somewhere interestin', yeah? Real neat?"
"Mayyyyyy-be!" she mimicked. Pulling her head high, the smile on her inky lips was feral with anticipation, slick and taunting as she wiggled her shoulders. "You got some good stuffs!" she pressed.
Following Khusobek presented itself a dreamy reward. Stones so rich, fancy and colorful. Her mind opened in tenfold, eyes in wonder, nose leaning close towards the stone embraced by his palm. "Waaaahhh! Woah-hoa-hoa!"
Devious eyes, rebel smile, she quickly took it from him.
Hers now.
"Now this is pretty."
"What's it for, ya-know?" Snickering, she felt it between her toes. Well, she might have to follow Khu-khu more often if he lead her to these things!
Yes, he had a nickname now. "C'mon, you got all the answers!"
"From the- the sea?!"
A sea?
They had a sea?!
Where?!
"Huh! Yeahhh!!" Well, she knew all about trading and getting her hands on something dirty, but with these things? Well, she tried to imagine just like Khusobek told her to, a paw-finger pressed to her lip. "I'll be damned, yeah? We need some trade posts. Get all these, ah.... sea things!" She threw a cheeky smile, all the while the stone stumbled from her pads. She scrambled to get it back.
"Yuh ever went trading before, Khu-Khu? We got allies to throw these pretty things at, get pretty things back?" Well, it made all the sense in the world that Legend liked pretty things. That was: why wouldn't she?
"Get me in on some of that!" she wiggled her tail enthusiastically, smiling now more intently, violently at the shiny toy he'd given her. Khusobek had the most wonderful ideas to tell her. Pretty things. Pretty thoughts! All in her pretty thoughts. Then, that rapid tail was still for only a moment before it caught back up to itself.
Extending her paw out to Khusobek, where the gem sat nicely on her pads and she let the light of it catch his face, she watched him thoroughly. Tick, tick.
She flipped it over next to put it back to the ground. To remove his attention from it. To her. She liked the color of Khusobek's voice.
"Tell me when you've got more ideas in yah head! I'll pester ya then. Or tomorrow. Whichever urge come first." She'd slip away soon after.
