Arric eyed the creature. They could possibly break it up or he could csrry it over back and neck.

He blinked and smiled. sure. It doesn't feel to bad. Head wounds always seem to bleed like crazy.

He had a few in his time. Another scar to add to his tapestry. This is pretty cool. Got lot meat for the cache. But uh you can take a piece to Cygnet.
I still want to clean it up, Eshe insisted, then hesitated and sighed. And then I'll deliver a piece to Cygnet. If I must. She would've rather not, but it would (probably) better than the work he'd do filling the caches.

Want to head back now? she asked. I can help carry whatever you need me to.
He chuckled. Better you than me. Uh she scares me a little. All bitey and frowny and. Yupp. Nope.

Arric founs no shame in admitting this. Cygnet was different than he was used to and though it could be conaidered shameful, he also knew it was better to be honest. And cygnet did scare him, but not how she was now. No, what she could turn into as she aged. That was what frightened him.

Alright.

He bent to the ground and maneuvered the dead weight onto broad back. Shoulders and knees protesting, but they could make it. Blood staining his fur. Dripping in his eye. Arlette was gonna kill him.
Last post from me! Thanks for the thread, as always. <3

While Eshe wasn't the biggest fan of Cygnet, they were getting close to a level of gossiping that she was uncomfortable with. It felt odd to share such disdain for a child; she was still young and could change. I'll do it, she assured her co-leader. But I'm going to patch you up first.

Arric hoisted the goat onto his back, and she watched, impressed by his strength. You make that look easy, she complimented as they began to walk back to Swiftcurrent Creek.
Arric hoped the girl could change. Hut her mother had always made him uncomfortable too. There was silence and there was omission in silence and to never trust he didn't like that.

You can patch me up.

It's not. But you get used to dealing with it.

It would be slow but theyd make it back.
