Wind Flower had disappeared over the time of falling leaves, and Fallen Sun had taken it as a sign she no longer wished for his companionship. A broken heart though he had, eventually the fire-pelted wolf stopped looking for her. Maybe she'd remember him come spring, and find him again. He decided he'd go off and see what else was out there. There was an awful lot of land, and he wanted a path that circled through it all.

In his travels, he'd come across many wolves, wolves who gifted him what he could never give Wind Flower.

The words he wished he could've said to her, what it meant. I love you. But those were now as fallen as his name, and off he set for greener pastures.
