it's been far too long, @Shikoba! I miss this couple too much to leave him on npc.

many long days had passed since Inutsuk had slowed his work and bid himself the time to seek out and lay with his wife. a part of him, buried deep inside, still worried that she held disdain for him when he'd left without word those many moons ago. he yearned for a feeling of solace and completion. but these two things could only be found with her

putting aside his restless feet and tiring patrol work, the man seeks out his warrior wife. to their ulaq, first. and if she is not to be seen, he will search elsewhere until he finds her.
*squealing!!!* <333

she grows older these days, and found herself curled up at the floor of her ulaq, buried within the deep furs of their last hunts together. for shikoba, she had many things that others would often envy. a loving husband, children -- a family to call her own. in many ways, the fruits of shikoba's labor have finally come to be recognized.

"my love," she would greet as she sees him come into view with one of her sulfuric eyes cracked open, "rest with me for some time?" an invitation to be lazy, just for this one moment she would give to herself and to her husband. inutsuk had given her children, he breathed life into her hearth. while part of her worries of the days that may come, shikoba has come to accept fate whenever it comes, one day at a time.

he warms when he sees her. and again when she speaks, the unmistakable flutter springs in his chest.

always. he rumbles low, but with an affectionate warmth.

diving further into the ulaq without hesitation, he sinks into the furs beside her, nestling his head against her shoulder. a satisfied hum reverberates in his chest. he likes this. being this way, and here with her, without a care for what goes on behind these walls.
"i think of things, these days" she admits softly to him.

her climbing age, her sons and daughter, the development of the land around her. "our daughter grows each day, she seeks approval. she is delicate; perhaps, she gets that from you" a soft, rumbly chuckle in her throat as she presses against him. shikoba was never so concerned in her youth, so perhaps that comes from ajei's father. for a moment, shikoba could think back to the difficult conversation she had with inutsuk a time ago, where his history still remains a secret.

she has learned to not push. her offering and the wisdom of sedna carries her. "and our sons; i worry of mojag. he will be a man soon, and i wonder if he will find a mate." the coast served them well, and perhaps rodyn is keeping watch of her son. the man was as honest as they came after all, seen as now even her own blood.

did inutsuk think of these things too?
