a curious thing has occured. the princes sapair and harakhte have returned to akashingo. for now they will be beneath the order of zaahira as jodai. i find the timing of their arrivals, which were close together, to be a point of suspicion that i hope time will dispel.

we have replenished a good portion of our stores. moontide has agreed to be a trading-partner with the Red Land, and soon i will send an expedition to the sea.

may muat-riya keep its peace as guardians of pharaoh and consort. may you also find ease in your service, as i do.

Dear Erpa-ha,

It is my hope the princes return with true intentions, but I know the grounds of such an arrival will be thoroughly examined by Akashingo. I am pleased to hear the red palace is keeping well through winter, and that trade will broaden in the new year.

Muat-riya continues to grow. New recruits have pledged themselves to our Pharaoh. I look forward to introducing them to you upon your return to the blue palace.

I have never seen Pharaoh Toula so happy. Her joy lights the halls, she inspires piety in her people.

Our carved temple is beautiful. It is tended well and faithfully by the expert hand of the Hemet, Nazli.

I remain gratefully occupied with my tasks. There is much to do in Muat-riya, for we have only begun.
