Not very creative name I Know, but it will have to work for now. I will be doing about 4 threads if I Miss anyone or you came in late, please let me know and I will add you into a group. Now these were thrown at me from a random generator so here we go. First round sound off, 2nd round start of hunt. Thanks everyone for sticking with me.

Finally it came down to him, he had made sure everyone was organized. He would have preferred to just get to hunting, but as leader of Moontide it was his job to organize and then hunt. He was exceptionally proud of the hunt itself. Of the wolves that had come.

A genuine smile as he met the gaze of those left. Hello Everyone. I apologize for making you wait. But as I had to organize the rest of them. I chose to save my group for last. Those of you who I have not met, more than today. I look forward to many days of meeting. Those who I have known thank you again for joining us. IT will be a momentuous day. Joining me today in the hunt will be @Aiolos of Moonglow, @Void , @Maia of Brecheliant, @Mojag , @Chani of Sapphique, @Theo of Sapphique and @Teya of Brecheliant. Welcome. I ask that Theo and Chani start from the rear, I myself with Mojag will be at the front, and Aiolos, Void, Teya and Maia on the sides. Please be mindful of horns and hooves. I will break into the sides if I am needed. Frankly if you see a need, fill it. I do not want any injuries while we are hunting. You all are much more important than the hunt and we can always chase again if we must stop.

Moonwoman @Kukutux has a healing ulaq set over there. We will go for one of the older bison's I think. Bigger than most, but slow.
relieved to be placed with maia, teya kept close as they followed rodyn. she knew no one else in their group, and gazed around herself with careful curiosity as she took the informal greetings.
placing names to faces, she offered maia an encouraging, excited grin. she couldn't exactly say she had wanted to come, but she was pleased that she had groomed up her fur and come all the same.
the teeth of the wind filled her senses, and she inhaled with pleasure.
chani tagged along with theo. she glanced from time to time to try and find her relatives and packmates in the other crowds, but soon focused on the others. she too rattled through a mental list of names, more curious about mojag than anyone else.
chani bit back a retort when rodyn placed she and theo at the back of all places! but she decided it was better to listen. the animals they would be hunting were huge. still, it stung a bit, and the brash young wolf had to fight the urge not to sulk.
Each name added strength to their hunting party and for that Mojag would have been grateful if he wasn't so distracted; as he came to join them all, his eyes were on the distant giants. Of all the places he had been he had not visited these plains, and was in awe of the mighty beasts.

Rodyn named him as the one to run at the head, alongside. This was an unexpected honor! He looked among their number and then to Rodyn, humble as he accepted his job. He then looked back the way they'd come, seeing the distant camps, and wondered if among the women circles his mother might linger; more likely not, as a hunter herself. I will make you proud. He thought of his sister too, as she worked in the green space preparing for the worst, and pledged to keep their party safe from harm.

Mojag didn't speak, as Rodyn was still outlining the plan; but then the group was off at a run and the young man moved to the head, running alongside Rodyn as the hunt began.
As the lead began to name off groups, Maia was briefly terrified he’d expect her to lead one. Thankfully that fear was set to rest swiftly when he summoned her to his group, and even better, named Teya in the group as well. Maia smiled gratefully at the Raven and stayed close as she listened carefully to the instructions, glancing around at the others. They all looked extremely capable; she hoped she could match their effort and do her own part.

He hadn’t given Teya a role, but with “sides” being two things, Maia looked at the other two and then at her friend. Teya and I on one, you on the other? She suggested, her heart in her throat as she did.

She was glad that Rodyn was so confident. She’d participated in hunts occasionally, but never one to this scale. She wouldn’t argue if the two she’d been grouped with did not want to split the way she’d suggested - either way, she’d follow the path he’d laid out. This wasn’t Brecheliant and here, she was not Auspex. Just a hunter here to learn.
Void took his position on the left side, and kept his eyes and ears trained for the prey
Theo stayed at the back with his sister, whom he noticed was upset about having to take up the rear. "Don't worry. He just wants everyone to be safe and collected and because we're the youngest we're the safest following from the more experienced and older wolves lead." He explained to her calmly. He didn't mind being back there, even though he was fully grown and basically an adult, and an avid hunter.

@Chani, tag for reference
Rodyn saw as everyone went into place. A gleaming light in his eye. He pointed out the bison again. And then he motioned for Mojag and they would start.

Aiolos using hia wisdom and years of hunting to help the young ones. He was pleased to have them in his group.

With a growl he mived to chase the creature trusting his group to do as asked.

Remember bite and back up. Be careful. Have fun.

second round chase no posting order. Aiolos can be pped helping others within reason
Void joined the chase on the prey. Once in range, he lunged at its left flank and dug his teeth in for a deep bite, before backing up quick to not get hit.
Theo had a good shot of the bison's haunches, as he was at the back with Chani. "Lets go get its back legs!" He told her, and charged at the large beast, locking his jaw on its upper leg, hoping Chani could bite by its lower leg bone, which would hurt a lot. His bite released a lot of blood and he got out of there quick, eyes on his sister to make sure she was alright though.
the hunt took off quickly. chani's focus quickly narrowed to theo and the bunching hindquarters of the bison. she struck once and bounced off the tough skin with surprise, not realizing just how thick the hide could be.
her second bite was more true, and she was dragged along as she sawed her head to and fro, eventually dropping back down beside theo with a laugh and a bloodied mouth. this was exhilarating!
she joined maia quickly, nosing the other woman for encouragement. this really wasn't maia's scene at all, and hardly that of teya either. "i'll take the right side," she said, lingering only a moment before she cut in that direction.
she took off when the bison did, finding herself in front of the younger sapphique wolves, on the side of the brother (theo). giving him an excited look, she devoted her attention then to running alongside, to keeping pace and slicing her teeth against the flanks and ribs of the bison.
Teya seemed keen on the right side, and didn’t expressly agree they should stick together, so Maia allowed the other two to decide for them. She would take whatever side she needed to in order to make sure they had enough on both.

At this point, Maia mostly focused on keeping herself in a position so that her size could help drive the bison where they wanted it to go. She snapped at it as best she could, but without the confidence of a practiced hunter, and she was glad that there were enough of them here that she wouldn’t need to help take it down if things went well.

Maia did keep a particular eye on the younger wolves in the back. She’d do everything in her power to, at the very least, make sure no one was injured today.
They worked well together. Mojag watched a dark man strike and withdraw with surprising finesse given their size (Void); others focused on the bison's haunches and ankles, which was dangerous work, and yet more were flanking either side.

He snapped and bit and tore where he could. The act of running across the plains was thrilling on its own—but the more Mojag focused on the work of bringing down the monolithic beast, the more at peace he felt. As if this was what his life had been missing.

Not a father, not a home, not a wife or anything that Moontide had taught him. This act of risking it all, proving to himself and those around him that Mojag was a capable hunter like his mother, and a powerful man, fulfilled him in a way nothing before had.

He snarled close to the bull's mighty head. Leaping to grapple at its stout neck, catching the shoulder instead and holding firmly there; wrenching and cleaving at the hide until there was blood. Mojag tasted it, he felt it spill across his chest as he released his hold and galloped freely alongside.

This. This was everything.
Last round. Mojag will be the bite that fells the beast.
The sound in the air. The clattering of hooves. The sounds of snarling and growling of breathing in time. It was everything. Every fiber of his being came together in this moment as it always did.

He jumped and he bit. The creature caught his shoulder with it's mighty horn. Scoring along the meat and fur. He snarled and continued his onslaught. His own blood mixing in to the creatures. Each jump shooting a fiery pain up his shoulder, but it wasn't life ruining or muscle ripping. Merely a flesh wound.

Finally, he grasped the side if the creatures head trying to wrench it so the creature fell to its side. Aiolos with the fire of a man who had won many hunts in his eyes and soul, right along with them.

Every wolf in his party did their best and worked so hard. He was so proud of them all
Void gauged another wound into the bisons side
Theo looked at Chani's bloodied smile as she bit the bison and he smiled. He was full of exhilaration too and threw another bite at the other leg of the beast.
they worked! her legs burned but her shout of exultation was loud as the animal was felled.
she grabbed at her brother. "we did it! we did it!" chani would never forget this day, nor the look of the other wolves as they heaved and strained and ran, as the bison thundered around her and their lowing filled the air.
The hunt was successful and, even more important, no one was injured! Maia came to a stop after the bison was taken down, breathing heavily from the run. She made her way slowly forward and hung back some, attempting to catch her breath as she watched the rest gather.

They'd done it, and she had done it! She hadn't messed anything up. Relief brought a smile to her face, but she knew it had only gone so smoothly because those who led them had set them up for success. She needed to remember if she hoped to do the same.
teya kept close to maia as the animal was downed. the exhilaration of everyone around them was exciting!
"i glad you here," she said on impulse to her friend, her companion, smiling as she had not in a long, long time.
