forward dated to new year's day
Fjall had missed much on the glacier during his spirit hunt.
Moonsong had seen its first howl, its first hunt, its first outing with the other packs. All without his being there. (Not that he knew any of this yet.) He returned to find the glacier irrevocably changed, its borders reinforced with unfamiliar scents, and his heart felt heavy to know that he’d lost himself in search of the earth spirit that had left him dazed at the doorstep of Moonspear.
Though @Ariadne had blessed his going many moons ago, he still felt a stab of guilt as he crossed the threshold of his chosen village and sung a low, timid song of his return.
