maybe @Minnow and/or @Sumac ?

Valiant was around — Easy was sure of it, now. She had his scent but no real trail; the isbjørn seemed prone to wandering, which made her heart warm but frustrated her on this particular morning.

She had invited Sumac out to hunt with her, but along the way, she caught a stronger whiff of her nephew. Distracted, she stood tall and swiveled her ears, hoping to see a familiar figure trotting toward her. When none was apparent, she let out a huffy sigh. There was nothing she needed to say or do once she found him — she just wanted to lay eyes on him and see that he was doing alright. It worried her that Arjun's scent was nowhere to be found, when they were usually as thick as thieves.

That could be for any number of reasons. Easy swept a sad smile over her shoulder, glad for Sumac's company. She had much to be grateful for — she wouldn't allow herself to grieve prematurely when Sumac had lost everyone. She felt a need to be strong for both of them, which meant she tried her best not to show how anxious she was for her boys. It slipped through now, though, even as her smile tried to reassure Sumac that everything was alright.
Perhaps to many, this morning was just like any other - unremarkable, routine. To Sumac, everything seemed to be starkly clear, laid bare in its true nature as the young male took in his new surroundings. He'd only recently traveled here with Easy, but the landscape was still such a dazzling display of new shapes, colors, smells, and sounds that it was impossible for his innate curiosity to not be piqued. After his initial trepidation began to mercifully wane, he found a spark of adventure kindling in his spirit.

So, it was without second thought that he enthusiastically accepted Easy's offer to join her on a morning hunt. The many packs in the area were meeting great success with their efforts, so it should stand there'd be ample opportunities to land a hearty breakfast.

Ears and nose to the wind, his senses eagerly drank in the varied notes that danced on the air. An intriguing scent flirted with his nose, and with a smirk of satisfaction worn on his dark muzzle, he turned to follow it... when his golden eyes fell upon Easy. She seemed... distracted, not her usual serene, optimistic self. Whereas he was turning toward a potential meal, she seemed to be searching for something else - but what?

'Mac's smirk fell into a frown. He was a very observant soul - which was one of the reasons Da trained him as a scout in the first place - but he was also strongly empathic, for good or ill. He could sense unease in the air. He caught her smile, but his frown remained as he loped up alongside her.

"Is everything alright?" he inquired directly, seeming suddenly much older for a moment as a concerned expression dominated his features.
The female had departed from her brother to go on a quick hunt. She had been too busy catching up that she had totally forgotten about why she was initially in that area, nevertheless she went in her way. However she caught two different scents that smelt not of rabbit, one intertwined with the scent of her brother and her curiosity got the better of her and she went towards it to see two wolves conversing and she walked up slowly “Hello”
Easy let out a soft breath.

"More or less," she said, but there was no point in hiding it: "I'm just worried about Arjun. Valiant had always looked out for him. I never realized how much peace of mind that gave me until I heard they were apart."

She was about to say more, or perhaps to brush off her concerns more thoroughly. Instead, she looked up at the sound of another voice to see a woman — a pretty woman — cautiously approaching them.

"Hi there!" she replied, her own body language shifting to something a little more cheerful. She tried not to look tok hawkish as she assessed the female, who looked to be around Sumac's age. She slid a measuring glance toward her companion before stepping forward once more. "My name's Easy. Sumac and I were about to go hunting." There was an invitation in her tone, but she looked back to Sumac as if to ask if it was alright — leaving it up to him, ultimately, to either issue a verbal invitation or not.
Sumac's frown lingered, but his expression softened as he nodded. Ah, that made sense.

"I get that," he said, tilting his head to the side as he listened to her intently, "I'm sure he's fine and there's a good reason they separated." Looking his companion straight in the eyes, he added earnestly, "Don't worry too much, Easy - we'll find Arjun. I'm sure of it."

Whereas he'd wandered into this land purposeless, he now found he had a direction - help Easy find Arjun, and make sure all was well. That would surely ease both their hearts, and he was (a little) confident that his adept senses would come in handy. They'd find him.

The lanky fellow was about to march off with determination to immediately begin his search, but his intentions came to a screeching halt as another - a stranger - called out to them. 'Mac's bright stare fell upon a very elegant, dainty, and pretty female figure. He found that, for some reason that eluded him, he could neither move nor speak. He simply stared for a moment, his breath held.

He cleared his throat and gave his head a good shake. Whoa, 'Mac... what was that? he wondered at himself.

"O-Oh, erm, h-hi, there," he echoed Easy, crossing his front paws uneasily.
When she had initially came up to the tow wolves she didn’t know if they would have been friendly she was just taking a chance because of the females scent also had her brothers and thankfully she was correct.

They greeted her softly and she let out her breath she had been holding inside and her anxiety was eased. “I was about to do the same, mind if I join you?”

It seemed that the female was inviting but she wanted to ask and be sure so she didn’t just assume. She gave a soft smile towards the male and decided to introduce herself. My name is Minnow and you two are?” She asked softly, wanting to know their names and get formalities out of the way.
Sumac's reaction was palpable. Little did they know, they were each suddenly sure of their purpose: Sumac to help her find Dutch, and her to be the best wingman in existence.

"Easy-Ishara Morningside," she replied, her tail wagging. She realized then that she could smell Valiant on this young woman, and that she had likely been detecting Minnow's trail rather than Valiant's. And — Minnow? "Your aunt, I think? If you're the Minnow I think you are!"

What an exciting year this was turning out to be! Easy gazed avidly now at the young shewolf, taking in the traces of her brother she could see in the girl's features. Her smile was soft, and she said, "I am so very pleased to meet you, Minnow."

And she turned toward Sumac, allowing for him to introduce himself. It was obviously a little too early for her to be making plans — but she would be pleased if Sumac could become part of the family in this pairing. She was rapidly coming to see Sumac as one of her own, not just because she wanted to help him, but because he had shown her so much care and devotion. He was a catch, she thought fondly, and she wanted to be part of his life at least long enough to assure herself that his partner knew that.
'Mac continued to stare as Easy and the newcomer, Minnow, conversed. Thankfully, his brain managed to function just enough to register that Minnow was related to Easy - her niece, it seemed? My, she did have a big family! She's lucky, Sumac thought with a tinge of sadness, which turned then to wonder... What if he had extended family out there, somewhere, that he didn't know about? Huh... Not a useful thought right now, though.

He was suddenly aware of a palpable silence that had fallen over them. OH! RIGHT! It was his turn to give his name.

"I-it's so nice to m-meet you, Minnow." Damn this stutter. Why couldn't he just speak normally? "I'm Sumac. Or, er, 'Mac, if you'd like, but, uhm, you can call me whatever you want," he added hastily. He added a little awkward chuckle, absently rubbing his left forepaw against his right front leg as he tried to ease his sudden self-consciousness. But Minnow did have lovely eyes, such a bright warm shade... He blinked at himself. What gives?!

"I, er, I think it would be g-great if you joined our hunt - if you think it's okay, Easy," he continued, trying desperately to regain some of his composure.
Her wares perked up at the sound of the woman’s name and her tail wagged. So this was the aunt that Valiant had told her about. Oh how happy she was to know she wasn’t alone anymore she found her brother and her aunt within a matter of days. “It’s very nice to meet you too. I didn't know I had anymore family left other than my brothers.” She wanted to cry with happiness but she restrained herself, minnow wanted to make a good impression. She only wished she could find Aeryn one more time and try and help him remember everyone.

She looked over to the male now as she heard him about to speak. He had a small stutter but she didn’t mind and she gave him time to get the words out as he introduced himself. It was cute really reminded her of herself. She was always pretty shy around new people. “Pleased to meet ya Mac.” During first meetings she liked to use full names untill she got comfortable but she felt at ease with these two. She looked over at her aunt and smiled. “So what do you think we could find in this area?”
Oh! How it hurt to find these lost relatives, and to know that they had felt so alone! Easy couldn't bring herself to say that she had plenty of relatives residing in Round Valley — Valiant would tell her, she was sure! Perhaps a visit could be arranged.

For the moment, she had other concerns.

Easy did her best not to find amusement in Sumac's struggle. It was cute! But she was sure he didn't think so, and so she would not call even positive attention to it. Minnow didn't either, and in that moment, it was very easy to see Aliac in the she wolf.

"I bet there's deer in the woods, here," she said, pointing her nose toward the next copse. "With all three of us, we could probably bring down a doe — we just gotta find one, and I think we will if Mac puts that sniffer to work."

She put her own to work as well, of course, but she expected she wouldn't be the first to find a trail.

Feel free to PP Easy as needed for any hunting posts! You can assume she is acting cooperatively to aid in any attempts.
