For @Njal . Short intro post is short!

Though the Sveijarn's pace was quick, the trip to the den felt like an eternity. Fear bit at her gut, a budding uncertainty taking root in her mind. Her body felt numb, eyesight foggy with loss and dread, but the desire to seek out her kin trumped these crippling mortal sentiments.

Njal's sent dusted the territory. Had he returned? Tuwawi veered towards a glen where the scent was strongest, hoping to find him there.
I anticipate some pain with this thread.

He had been with Maera as soon as he had sighted Tuwawi; there would be very little time between her arrival upon the borders and the inevitable appearance at the den. Njal said nothing to the sleeping child as he nested with her - too much had transpired lately, and even if seeing her mother was imperative, Njal felt that she needed her sleep.

When he heard the crackling of the forest just outside, he begrudgingly left Maera. Njal slid out of the entrance and moseyed through the nearby glen where he suspected Tuwawi was also wandering - and there, through the trees, he could see her. But he did not go to her. The man stood stalwart before the near-empty den and waited.
