since this thread is kinda old, I'm gonna pretend Koda hasn't heard about what Junior did to Finley yet, and he finds out from Finn
In the days since Dante's big announcement, life at the plateau had become pretty quiet again. Koda had returned to patrolling the borders and stocking the caches. He hadn't yet been called on to escort Finley back to her pack, and he was starting to wonder what was up. Last time he'd seen her, the silver she-wolf had been on the mend. Surely, she had to be ready to go by now.
Koda's musings were interupted when he heard what sounded like an angry bear thrashing in the bushes nearby. Finley's story came rushing back to him. Maybe, the pissed off mama bear had returned to finish the job!
He was about to send up a warning howl, when one of his pack mates emerged instead of a bear. Koda allowed himself to breath a sigh of relief.
"Oh, hey Finn," he said with a nervous laugh.
"For a sec, I thought you were a..." Koda cut himself off abruptly when he saw the look on the silver male's face. He looked like he wanted to kill somebody!
"What's going on?" He asked, becoming instantly serious.
alrighty!!
also M for language
Fueled by the burning hatred in his insides he began to run, flashing through the bushes and undergrowth like a furious lighting of silver driven with the sole purpose of unraveling his wrath upon her. If he had found her, which luckily for her he didn't, he would have showered the suicidal attention-whore her well deserved portion of ofensive words.
It was about damn time she was brought down of her pedestal --- she might've had his daddy be the chief once, but now his word was poweless, let alone worthless to the Plateu wolves. If she wanted to go play princess then she'd have to go to the her daddy's new pack. She was nothing but an ordinary, screwed-up juvenile here, one that the also screwed-up Finn would not tolerate any longer.
His mind was too caught up finding new curse words to dedicate to the teen that he almost didn't notice how close he was of trampling the wrong guy. He swerved abruptly, jerking himself off the collision route he was headed for just in time. With a sharp turn of his head he brought himself to look at Koda unable to extinguish the fire burning on his eyes, he tried to at least calm himself enough to articulate an answer.
She's gone because the idiot fuck of Junior had a tantrum
he growled, his lips curling back unvoluntarily as he spoke of the occurance. Finley's health was put at stake by a suicidal teen's judgement!
he snarled, feeling the temperature of his body rise. He was no longer a rabid bear, or a train speeding recklessly on the rails.
He was an angry volcano about to explode.
Koda listened as Finn filled him in on what had happened, using some very colorful adjectives to describe Junior. Koda didn't think much of the little brat either, but Finn looked ready to tear her head off. His anger was understandable, but Koda couldn't help but think there must be more to the story for Finn to be this upset.
"That little bitch," Koda grumbled, echoing Finn's sentiments. The Alpha had said that Caldera wolves would not be welcomed on the Plateau any longer, but as a juvenile who did not even hold a rank, Junior had no business getting involved in Finley's situation. The young wolf's arrogance continued to astound Koda. What kind of father had Peregrine been, to raise such an entitled little princess.
Koda worried that Finley might not be strong enough to make it back to the Caldera on her own. That's why he had volunteered to escort her. Now, he was left feeling helpless, a feeling he hated more than any other. "Maybe we should go look for her," He suggested, unsure of what they could do about it now.
