Elentari ventured away from Moonspear. She headed north, towards the coast. She would not go too far or be gone terribly long. This she had promised Alaric upon her departure. She was free to roam this year and so was he. But she would always come back to him.

Maybe next year would be different, with more set in stone.

Until then, her flame of desire still burned just as fiercely as ever. Spurring her on by a deep, primal desire that pushed her out into the wilderness. There was only one thing on her mind - to find only but most worthy, strongest males to sire the next generation.

Not even Maggak, Arcux, nor Sialuk or Alaric were in her thoughts as she slipped ever closer towards the coast. Weaving a trail of intoxicating seduction, woven into onyx black wisps snagged on shrubs or branches. The smell of salt air gradually grew stronger. A not entirely new scent to her nose.

In her early youth, she had known a rugged coastal home not so different to the one that beckoned. It brought back memories, thought forgotten. As the jagged line of drop off land gradually became closer and closer, she thought she could spy the distant plateau where Moontide made it's village.

She considered it for only a moment, before passing it by. There were fathers and mothers with newborns of their own to tend to. Not an opportune time for a visit. They needed to grow and bond with their families. And she...she had her own mission.

Elentari moved on until she stood overlooking the cliffs, the rugged land below dotted with it's many caverns an enticement. For the moment, she stood back to enjoy the salt tinged breeze, calling out in a lone siren song.
he knew the voice on the wind.
for all the hours he had waited outside the ulaq, argent had never showed his face. sialuk had given birth to them not alone, but without the silver man who had played a part before.
but he knew the voice of the archer, rising over the shimmering waters with want and maybe yearning. the seal hunter finished his patrol and ended it there, and went to find elentari.
he found her burning and pensive, a falling star wreathed in black fire. the berrybright eyes searched her form. for all their agreeability, the archer had not seen fit to choose chakliux, and this had not rankled him overmuch. they both loved sialuk, and that mattered first.
until he knew, he would not come forward, only stood watching her with soft, gently approving gaze that questioned even so.
After her song ended on the breeze, it brought to her a familiar face. Chakliux of Moontide. Husband to Tullik and Marina. Father of many. Lover of Sialuk. A dear, trusted friend of all of Moonspear.

A slight turn of her head caught him sliding into her line of sight. Pale furred. Berry eyed and marked with the scars of a man. He was an impressive man. The picture of health, a skilled hunter and warriors body. And also a reliable force, just a call away should the Moon villages be in need.

There was much she admired of him.

Her memory drifted back to the recent past when Sialuk bore her children. He had been there. Alaric had been there. Argent had not. It made her wonder, how many of the cubs belonged to the absent one? There was no use dwelling on it now.

Turning to face him, she slowly crossed the open space between them. Remaining just out of reach, still. Unsure of where this encounter may take them.

"He is gone. He chose his path. Sialuk and I...we will find a way forward. The children...Maggak, Acrux. My heart hurts for them the most." Stormy eyes rose to lock with magenta. "You were there when she became a mother again. Thank you, just for being there that day."
argent had left, and chakliux thought him at once a fool. a man did not walk away from what he had built, and now in anger he wondered if the new young ones at sialuk's belly also shared such blood.
it did not matter. the shadows pulled at his scarred shoulders. "i am sorry, elentari."
maggak. acrux. an entire mountain village. two beautiful women. what was there to leave?
sialuk. a smile played upon his mouth. "i am favored to be one of her choices. for another year i will bring meat to her hearth."
which was also elentari's hearth, his senses reminded him. thus far he had remained rather poised, but this close to the archer and she might see the wanting in his face. "you are strong, star hunter. but i know the pain of this must be harsh to your spirit." was that why she had come alone, seeking? would she replace argent in deed if not heart? chakliux approved.
She nodded, once. "I have put it behind me. I only wish he could have been around more." Her voice suggested that she had lost her attachment to him for some time. Her yearning pulled towards another. But she had no need to share her feeling towards Alaric, right now. The three of them, Sialuk, Alaric and Chakliux were much the same. Loving freely, openly. Devoted, yet always welcoming. It seemed fitting she would choose the Seal Hunter as a suitor this season.

"I congratulate you both. You have my blessing, of course." A smile lighted her steely eyes, tail swinging like a pendulum as she not so shyly, eased closer. "I admire you, Chakliux, as others do. Who could blame a woman for wanting their children to have strength such as yours?"

"The pain of my spirit will fade. We Archers are bred strong. I have the Moon Villages to guide me...and her." She reached up with a defined black snout, tenderly grazing the underside of his chin. Inhaling salt air, rock and hints of sand. Of wives and children. She felt no jealousy. Only an intensity of the fire burning within her. "Come visit as often as time allows. They would love to see you." She spoke both of her son and daughter and those yet to come. "Sialuk knows the passion of a Seal Hunter. I ask you show me now, too."
closing his eyes as elentari touched him, chakliux considered the sweetness and strangeness of time. argent no longer held a place for her; he found himself wondering if it was the same for sialuk or if she too had turned her heart from the silver man.
his own muzzle lowered, mouth finding the hollow of her throat, lips moving upon her collarbone, flicking tongue to trail upward; his berrybright eyes said he would be more than pleased to fulfill elentari.
in slowness he nipped along her shoulders, exhaling warm breaths against the skin there, the roots of the hairs.
strong children, she said. he could give those, and delight her body in the process.
a little purling growl came from chakliux as he mouthed one of her sensitive ears, pausing in his teases to laugh gently and seek elentari's mouth.
Chakliux would have his answers in time. When she bore her future children, if not sooner. Each had their own way to mend the rift that Argent had caused.

Her mind was far from these things, now as his muzzle touched her. At the curve of her neck, along the lines upwards. A touch of his tongue. She burned brightly for him. Dark lids shielded her eyes, which rolled back in their sockets in delight.

Then, his warm breath. Teasing the roots of her fur. Teeth grazing. Snapped open, she hitched her breath, plowing forward to embrace him with her arms. The Archer rumbled low, entrapped ear flickering, buzzing.

She nipped at him. Along the outer pale cheek ruff, then along the trio of scars bridging his muzzle. Reaching for them, as if to sense their substance on a level herself. Like an explorer trying to peer within the dark depths of a cold sea for the very first time.

Then she gave him what he sought. Brought her mouth to his, lips peeled back in a feral, fang baring smile.
in powerful pleasure she came alive, responsive to each touch. chakliux let elentari lead their dance, still as she explored the source of his pride, the scars he wore; he mingled their breath when her teeth stole close.
with a purling growl, the seal hunter slowly backed the archer into the tall stands of soft sea-grass and the twisting pale trees; when her lovely jetstone spine was comfortable against the wide bole of a smooth-barked pillar, he met her eyes and let his caresses become more bold, gaze holding her own;
he wanted to see the moment that elentari scintillated into bliss.
and when they could each bear no more, sea passed over into the hold of moon, and chakliux sighed out his adoration against the pretty hackles arched beneath him.
I am good with fading here! <3

Salt and sand. Stone and pine. All elements of both of their contrasting homes, now coming together to swirl as one. Just as man and woman, each in opposite coats. A perfect Ying and Yang. They had been destined it felt, to come together like this eventually.

To the proud hunter she bent, giving in to both of their whims. Tips of teeth raked through sea salt fur along his neck, sides...all over. Her dark, silver flecked hackles stirred in the oceans breath. Of his. No amount of cooling water would soothe her now. There was only one cure, and Chakliux held it.

With a purling sound in her throat, she begged of him. Not that she felt he would ever deny her now. She only wanted his embrace. His warmth and the intense passion only a Seal Hunter could give. When she shifted her tail, Elentari was ready. Plunged with him into new depths, swept away in tidal bliss.
