Mae had come back, which overjoyed the uncle. But there was more changes coming for him and he could tell by the scent on the wind. @Arlette was getting close and if that didn't scare the ever loving shit out of him and make him so territorial it was insane all at once.

He was at war with himself. Trying to be the supportive man she knew, while also simultaneously wanting to rip apart Ensio, Viinturuth and Akavir for even being anywhere near him and her. It was a shock to his system. And he sort of hated himself for it, but he also knew it was the way of things.

A tilt of his head. He trusted Arlette implicitly, so he sought out something to keep his mind and his body busy so that she didn't see the near insane wolf he was becoming. And gods she wasn't even in full heat yet. Perhaps that she wolf of the sea had scarred him way more than he liked ot think.
Arlette had noticed the change in behavior Arric first, before realizing it was her own scent that was changing too. Arlette couldn't help but feel young and giddy that he body was giving her another chance of having children. She had worried when Eshe and Sovereign went into heat and she hadn't yet.... So figured she might not go into heat. Yet, hers was simply later.

Arlette chuckled seeing her mate so torn. Honestly, she felt rather flattered by his demeanor. She knew he probably didn't like it but she kinda did. She wasn't going to torment him though. She would make sure to stay clear of the other males in the pack, just so to avoid conflict. Seeing that the pale woman then had little other options she decided to at least find Arric. It wasn't difficult. She was familiar with his scent and especially now her body was gearing up to the event his scent especially stood out.

Arlette trotted towards him, feeling a little more confident than she would usually carry herself. She greeted him with a quick snuggle and some affectionate nips against his jaw. "Not long now," she murmured happily.
Arric tried like mad to keep himself on a short leash. Arlette had to have noticed hia idocricy. But he was trying to behave. It wasn't his friends fault they were men. Even if at the moment it pissed him off.

He was juat sort of lulling himself into a small dose of a routine when she sidled up to him. And it was like a live wire. His fur shifted, and he turned his head quickly. Eyes tracing across her face, and pelage.

He snaked his head sround hers and slowly smoothed hia jaw down her neck and back.

Don't i know it. he joked, but his voice was a little lower octave.

What you up to today, lovebug?
Arlette chuckled at him. She could tell he was a little on edge. Poor man. She knew that their time together would be imminent, but since he had gone through heats before she knew it wasn't the right moment yet. It was just light, and she could still think rather clearly. Though his lower tone did really do something to her.

"Staying clearly of most of the men in this pack, for the sake of my lovely mate," she hummed. "Though I am not sure I am helping you with lingering around you," she admitted. She was excited though, because within a few months their would have their pups and she never thought that she would feel such joy again.
Arric knew this was only the beginning. And he would be absolutely irked later. But he was also twitterpated and he couldn't even try and quiet that down. Nor did he want too.

Arric reached out and tugged her closer if she allowed. A smile and a twinkle in his eye. Just you try and get away from me. But really you don't need to worry about me being grumpy. I always want you around. Even then.
Arlette happily let herself be tugged close. She leaned against him, more than happy to stroll with him, or spend time with him. "Ohhh is that a challenge?," she beamed, almost ready to jump away and let him chase her. That would be a fun game. She would happily let him catch her.

"Ah, but my dear, I never worry about that! There is always a little dash of grumpiness around you," she chuckled. "I would worry if it isn't showing," she teased playfully. Her tail wagged. Clearly enjoying her time spend with him.
Arric chuckled. If you want it to be. But I'd have to give you a headstart. I have an unfair advantage.

He looked down at his legs compared to hers. She was small and adorable amd cute. He was like gigantor.

He made a soft noise as if wounded. But there was a glimmer of laughter in his gaze. :

I am am aquired taste.
Arlette smirked at him, taking it into consideration. The woman looked over him with a little grin, almost wanting to accept that challenge. Feeling playful. She chuckled when he acted wounded by her words. She knew he wasn't. "I love an acquired taste, no sharing needed," she grinned. She then placed a kiss on his muzzle and then dashed off into the undergrowth, deciding she would want to take that challenge. He might be large but that could also work as a disadvantage as she swiftly moved through the dense foliage and bushes, which she could easily crawl under.
He laughed as she darted away. He counted to a beat of a few minutes. Then raced after her. He had to stay further on the bushes side.

She tumbled and raced through the underbrush and laughed. He would occasionally do small nips if he could snake his head into a break in brush. But his laughter was loud and joyous. His steps thunderous.
Arlette moved as quick as she could, but still Arric was faster. She didn't mind it he was playful with her, and sometimes tried to nip. The thicker undergrowth was quick to end and she had to break cover. Fur riddled with twigs and other debris.

She chuckled and set off running. She knew he would catch up with her though, and she would allow him to catch her. Tongue lolling out of her mouth. This was fun. She loved hearing him laugh like this.
Suddenly her cover broke. And a streak of white and he growl laughed. Though he slowed a little. Catching up and then backing off.

Finally, he made it and gently caught her. He was bigger and didn't want to make her tumble.
Arlette chuckled as she caught her. She playfully pushed her paw against his shoulder. "I am not that breakable," she teased him. The girl wagged her tail and nipped him playfully. She hadn't felt so playful in a long time and she wondered if her hormones had anything to do with that.

She noticed that they were close to the river. "Shall we go for a swim?"
He laughed. I know, but I didn't want to accidentally make you tumble ass over end.

He made a soft yip when she nipped at him. Blue eyes laughing. A soft hum followed.

He nodded. Then shifted. Last one in is a rotten egg. and he jogged towards it. He had to gove her at least a chance.
Arlette laughed. Well, he could have toppled her right over, that was a fact. She was glad that he was so considerate. The female hummed and then as soon as he made it another competition raced towards the water. She laughed. "Then I will be a lovely rotten egg!," she called out and then jumped into the water with a big splash.

The water was still cold but refreshing. She resurfaced quickly, shaking her head and kicking out her legs to stay afloat. She laughed, not sure who won. It was since to cool off like this. Though she noticed the current was a little strong, she kicked out more, pushing herself forward more towards the bank. She didn't want to be taken down the river.
Her laughter made his heart tighten even more. Gosh he lived for it. There was nothing prettier.

He paddled towards her. Broad strokes against the river. The current tugged and much like her he mived closer to the edge. A river could suck even him under and around in a hearheat.
The water was a cold rush to her system. For which she was glad with the waves of fever that rocked through her whole body. Her hormones being on on fire. She was glad when her feet found somewhere to stand. She panted happily. Soon she noticed the cold was starting to steep deeper. She let out a long and happy sigh.

end it here ish jsut a fun short little thread?
