Between their two litters raised in separate dens, Candle found it difficult to steal moments with @Sari. Someone would have to watch the children, after all.

But somehow, some way, she'd found a moment of peace with her fellow Mediator. Candle settled in beside her with a meal she'd brought to share. She tore one half away and offered it to S'ari, eyes warm. There was an unspoken kinship in their shared motherhood, one she felt now; their children would grow together, and their bond ran ever deeper with the passing seasons.
omg sorry! i looked at this and then forgot to reply so it wasn't in my threadlog

S'ari took the other half of the meal silently, returning Candle's smile. They ate together in silence for a time. She kept wanting to speak, but then remembered that Candle often had trouble speaking aloud, so she slipped into Clan instead, broken though her signs were. But this would be a good way to practice.

-How you? How babies?- Then she gave Candle an apologetic look for her awkward signing, but she grinned all the while. S'ari wasn't one to get embarrassed easily.
