Harlyn walked steadily between the trees, her gaze peering intently between the trunks, searching for something she had not yet been able to lay her eyes upon. She had caught its scent merely by chance, but hadn't been able to stop herself from continuing the investigation as she was so thoroughly intrigued. After all, she had little else that she needed to get to besides finding ways to impress her alpha, and if all went according to plan, this would likely be a wonderful way to do it.

The little critter was proving to be quite elusive, however. The dark patterned woman sniffed eagerly at the ground and along the trunks of the pines that surrounded her. Wherever it was, it was being perfectly still, likely in an attempt to thwart her. But Harlyn was far more crafty than the beast likely expected. She was also more clever, more patient, and far, far more determined.
@Harlyn Do you want to bring this to present day?

The assassin melding into the shadows cast by the trees, though he could only try not to leave much of a mark or sound as he stepped through the snow. He was tracking small prey, something that his pack needed in the depths of winter. Small bursts of energy could help anyone if they were starving, and in winter, no prey was exempt from a wolf's jaws.

He paused when he spotted another wolf stalking through the woods, focused on the same prey he was tracking. The assassin chuffed softly, sneaking slowly towards the brown female, but stopped occasionally as not to spook the tiny beast.
