Onyx had wandered into new land. She was sitting in a clearing in the forest alone. She was extremely afraid- she didn't know this place, what if she died? Then nobody in the Bay would know what happened to her. But at least she would be with Daddy and Mama and Crow and Ash and Alpha Ypres. She missed Mama the most. Next came Alpha Ypres, then Daddy. She'd never known Daddy, the river had killed him. When her mother died she had dragged her to the river and sunk her body so that it could be with her father. Just thinking about when her mother died made her start to cry. Silently tears exited her eyes. Then she began strangled weeping sounds, sobbing. Her face was wet with tears and she buried her head beneath her paws. No! She was an orphan! Orphans like her would never fit in, she told herself.
