FitzDutiful was out surveying the local scenery. He was trying his best to progress with the Naturalist trade - a trade that anyone had yet to obtain in his pack. When day broke, he said a brief farewell to Raissa before heading out to Big Salmon Lake. His hopes were that there would be a plant or some kind of life around the lake that he could look at and learn from.

Fitz had learnt that there were many different aspects of being a naturalist. He had learnt how to read the stars on one occasion and had followed them to someone else who had been learning about nature too. He had also used them to guide some of his counselling. It was a marvel how two seemingly unrelated trades could become related. Fitz, however, wasn't entirely sure he wanted to devote himself entirely to something as interpretative as star-reading and that was why today's focus was plant life.

Approaching the lake at around midday, he began to sniff around the various plants nearby, using his nose and tongue to gather as much information about them as he could.
◆coming for naturalist, too. :) ◆

Cry had intended to go top the lake to investigate the ferns that lay frozen around the area, ironically the fends only grew in that area, the very spot where another was camped out.
Wearily and warily, he proceeded to greet.

"Hey. "

And that was it. No need to get all in depth with the Ivory. A simple greeting.

Indifferent glacials passed over the man, as he went to the base of the lake and pried thin sheets of ice up from on the hibernating vegetation.

Cry was interested in the ferns, madly because they were the only poisonous fern he had come across. Typically known for their nutritional value, he was stunned to see a naive Fox eat a bit of the leaf from one, take a few wobbly steps forward, and fall in her side, paralyzed and then, well, dead.
The dark prince wondered if it held the same potency while it lay dormant and frozen.
He didn't know much about ferns, or any plants for that matter. In fact, FitzDutiful didn't even know how he was supposed to find anything out about them either. All he had intended was to investigate them, know their texture and look, so that if Ashton ever needed to know where a particular plant was located FitzDutiful could part with that information.

He was wary when a black male approached. The pack scent was foreign to FitzDutiful and he wondered if the wolf had travelled far in order to come here especially. Pausing in his examination, he watched. A brief hello was spoken before the yin to his yang examined the ice. Figuring that if he wasn't attacking that could only be good, Fitz asked about the plants.

"Hi yourself. Know anything about the plant life here?" For all FitzDutiful knew, maybe this male travelled here often.
