Sorry for making you wait this long... Shool's drowning me! D:

It hadn't been easy being a loner for so long. Aella was used to being always guarded by obedient males and to always be surrounded by the graceful company of the Nereides sisters. More than two months had passed since her departure from Ankyra, and there wasn't a single thing she regretted most in her life.

The hunger was persistent, even when she'd had more than plenty food for a wolf to stay alive for a full month. She was thin and weak, something she'd just recently started to learn how to deal with, and her spirit was nowhere near as high as what it used to be. There was nothing she could do right now, only wait and regain the strength she was known for. She had to be patient and persistent.

Unfortunately, patience was something the fiery Amazon lacked greatly. She didn't want to sit idle in a den and wait for Spyridon to bring her the food she wad always been able to catch for herself. It was demeaning. The beach was her target and so she walked steadily enough through the woods and down the cliffs, fast as her gaunt body allowed her, and -not very soon- Aella reached her destiny. The salty air was soothing, comforting her ache limbs, but getting there was only the beginning. Fishing was why the fireball was there for, and fishing was the thing she'd do. She put her terminator face on and slowly walked into the cold sea water.

She stood there, watching warily the water looking for the prey. A swift flick of scales flashed brightly to her left reflecting the setting sun light, and quickly, Aella jumped to attack.

She missed... For the fourth time in the last two hours...

No problem whatsoever ;) I know the feeling!

The beach was growing on him. The salt in the air that coated his tongue when he inhaled and the sound of the waves crashing against the nearby cliffs, all factors that contributed to his fancy. Born so far from the sea and growing up only hearing of it's wonders, he found himself visiting the shores as often as his duties permitted. Today however, he found that he could combine both and it heightened his mood significantly.
Trotting along the waterline towards a suitable spot, he began looking for seaweed to use in the dens when his keen blue eyes landed on an fiery coat and thin limbs. His brows immediately scrunched together in a cocktail of exasperation and worry for the decidedly female wolf as he watched her efforts and the way her body refused to act with the reflexes belonging to their kind. It was her emaciated form however that worried him most.
Recognising the unmistakable scent of an Ankyran female, though he didn't know her, the large grey male approached the scene, ears peaking forward and head lowered to greet the russet sister. He was not as courteous in his tone or spirit as the epivitoras but the subservience was as clear as day in his deep voice as he spoke, despite the friendly smile on his face. He saw no harm in being polite no matter the difference in rank.
"May I offer my assistance, my lady?"
He did not recognise her but that fact mattered little to the professional in him. She was undoubtably pack and in physical distress and that was all he cared to know.
Sorry for the wait.. And the quality of my writing... I'm bad overall, sorry >.<
EDIT(1/24/2015): Removing tables.

Aella was now turning red..er in anger. She was a magnificent fisher! How come she hadn't even caught ONE single darn fish. It was depressive, being so weak, having been once a fierce Amazon... She just wished she hadn't left in first place... What a foolish choice it had been...

The voice that sounded behind her was a surprise, Aella jumped startled, scaring yet another fish away. She had been so close... "No. You may not." the fiery wolf snapped annoyed, but then something changed, it could only be inside her because everything around her was the same. Ugh... What am I saying? I can't even catch a damn fish... she turned around, her eyes glimmering with frustration.

Nakai watched in silence as the russet female jumped in surprise at his voice. He hadn't meant to startle or frighten the thin, clearly distressed wolf but it seemed that he had succeeded nonetheless. Then she snapped at him and he could make out at least a touch of wounded pride and frustration in her voice beside the clear annoyance. Sighing deeply, he trotted a few steps closer and cocked his head slightly sideways as he bowed down in submission. The stranger was a mangled thing, thin and in dire need of food, which the sea seemed to deny her. For a second, he thought about leaving her to her own devices, since she had declined his assistance, but the idea was quickly banished in favour of a new approach. She was after all a proud Ankyran wolf and he was not going to disappoint.
"I didn't mean to offend," he offered, nudging her shoulder with his head. She was much smaller than him and he was quite aware of the skeletal structure protruding beneath her awe-inspiring coat of fire. A strong urge to usher her back to the den and offering her a fresh kill was unbearable to the caring male, but he knew well that neither of his superior sisters would accept such treatment. Still, he tried his luck.
"Again, I do not wish to offend, my lady, but I worry about your well-being and offer my indiscriminate assistance. What do you require?"
Maybe if he could coax her into assuming authority and order him to bring her whatever she needed, she might surrender the stubborn facade that she was currently showing.

Aella walked towards the male who obediently offered help. She couldn't help feeling stupid, weak, inferior, and to top it off, she now needed to let the drudge help her. It was like a kick in the balls... Metaphorically of course.

"You didn't offend. My name is Aella Nereides. Adept. Warrior." the fiery wolfess tried to say with pride but in a tone that seemed to ruin it. "I do not wish to explain what happened to me. That's something for me to know and regret. But right now I may have to ask your help... What should I call you?" She smiled. She had always been kind to males even though her sisters could be harsh at times. She didn't see the point in prioritizing females over males, not even after having spent her entire life hearing stories of how they were superior.

When she did deign to answer him, he gave a respectful nod. Every wolf carried stories that they wished to keep close to their hearts and private and thus he would not pry as it was neither appropriate nor his place to do so. Instead he straightened his posture as her tone softened and she inquired after his name. He had not expected such courtesy from a Siren, and thus he took a split second longer to answer, though when he did it was with gentleness and obvious subservience.
"My name is Nakai, my lady and I am at your disposal. Ask of me what you will, I am yours to command."
He approached, head ducked in happy submission and he nudged her leg ever so gently as if to emphasize his point. He was happy to serve and appreciated the rare show of kindness from an Ankyran female. The pack was fiercely protective of their own, though there was not a second where rank was not enforced in some way. And thus he raised his head again, an inquiring look in the blue eyes of the large male.
"What do you wish to eat? You're in dire need of nourishment and if you'll allow me, I shall provide whatever strikes your fancy."

Aella allowed the male to come closer to her, to touch her leg, and not surprisingly it was very comforting. Even when she had never seen the male before and wasn't even sure whether she should trust him as she did the consorts back in Whelping Cove, Nakai had so far shown his devotion, and not having an option, the young Amazon had decided to let herself fall into the male's care as she'd done with Spyridon.

"Thank you, Nakai. I think I'll have a Blue Whale..." the amazon joked. Though, she felt like she could swallow one whole. The hunger was ferocious.

As perplexed as he was happy to serve, Nakai smiled at her request. He was quite confident that she was joking, it was obvious and clear as day in her tone of voice and the impossibility of the request. Still there was always the possibility that she was serious and had just requested his suicide in some sly manner.
He shook his head vehemently, snickering slightly at the thought before he let a gentle smile creep onto his features.
"My apologies, Milady, I'm afraid that I cannot bring you such a prize. I assure you, if it were at all possible, I would stop at nothing to fulfill this wish."
Taking a few steps away from the shore, he considered his options. A hare was quickly caught if required or food from one of the caches of the pack, but neither would do. The siren before him was clearly in need of large quantities of fresh meat if she were to regain her strength, which he would much prefer.
"A counter-proposal, Milady: would a young elk strike your fancy and quell the hunger?"
He knew where to find the elk herds and lately, he had been lucky while hunting their old and young. A calf would be perfectly possible for him to kill and light enough to carry back.
"If so, would you prefer to rest here while I bring you said elk?"
It was remarkable how easy it felt to speak to the russet female and Nakai was certain that he would have to reign himself in a little to keep conforming to the Ankyran standard of subservience. Thus he lowered his head a little and tried to banish his smile.
Sorry for the long wait. Would you like to give an end to this one and have another one soon? :)

Nakai was servicial, Aella could tell by the way he proposed himself to catch an elk on his own for the Female's satisfaction. Elk was hard to catch, end doing it alone would be impressive, but those thoughts weren't crossing the hunger Amazon's mind at that time. An elk only for her was like a banquet she would never think of having, and in the state she was it was like promising the sky.

"That would be amazing, Nakai. I would be so thankful." I'll wait for you in the caves if you don't mind, I think I need to rest. She said with a faint smile and walked out of the salty water and into the coastal caves that served the pack as shelter. There, she dropped herself to the ground and closed her eyes, awaiting for the consort's return.
