Please let @Darkside post first but other than that, any DFG wolf is welcome. Also, I have permission from Leo to PP Darkside. :)

A small part of Talon was curious, curious of where the other dogs were. Did they band together to survive? Or break off alone? Or go off with a friend like he did? In the wreckage, the husky had seen most of the dogs run off with Dogmeat. Trust them to rely on a single dog. Having taken care of himself since he was born, he was fiercely independent and did not trust anyone with his life....except for Darkside. The fellow dog had been his closest friend when they were tortured and tested on by the humans, and the german shepherd had earned his trust. Talon was not stupid, however and he knew sticking together would be the best way to survive, but he did not like it at all and until logic won over stubbornness, he was journeying alone or with Darkside. If his friend decided not to run off with the other dogs.

They had been traveling for days now, in the natural wilderness which was somehow slightly familiar to him. Memories of him as a young husky dragging the sled, being whipped crossed his mind, and then he was alone and left to fend for himself. It was there, that place, where he had learnt to hunt and survive, to fight for his life. And it would prove useful now. The metal was still embedded in his flesh, luckily it was not deep, but the main problem was it wasn't out yet. The sooner the piece of human made shit was out of him, the better, but Talon could not remove it on his own.

They traveled towards the unknown, the mountains getting closer every day. If they were lucky, they found a carcass, usually rotten but even carrion was better than nothing. Their bodies thinned, if that was even possible seeing as they were already malnourished and thin before. But they survived. For now.

They moved closer towards someplace familiar yet unfamiliar at the sametime, something stirred deep within his head, a memory forgotten. It was marked, seemingly a territory where other canines lived in. But it was dog, yet not dog at the sametime. It warned strangers off, it scent strong. Then he remembered, one of his many scars were given by these dog yet not dog creatures and the word surfaced. Wolf. His mother told him about them, but Talon did not meet them until he was left to fend for himself in the wilds, green as he was, he trespassed and was nearly killed. He was not new to this life now, yet Talon still moved into the lands, albeit warily.

The husky turned to his companion, "Do you smell that? Dog but not dog. I've met them before, before the humans took me in. They are large and doglike but not doglike at the sametime. Apparently they're called Wolves. Wolf." He informed Darkside, "Remember not to underestimate them, my friend. I don't want to journey alone just yet," Talon winced, as he took another step, the metal digging deeper in. He would die soon if this continued. "Darkside, I need you to take this piece of human shit out of me. You think you can do that?" A faint smirk curled at the dog's lips.
They had broken off from the other dogs for a while now. While his foreleg was still kinda dislocated, it wasn't bothering him so much and he was kinda use to by now. Also it helped break him out of his daydreams. A little pain helps everything. But other than that, everything seemed good. Honestly, Darkside was glad they had broken off from the other dogs. He was almost disgusted at himself for having thoughts to want to impress Dogmeat. He should be a free dog, and needed nobody else in his life.

...Except Talon. He had been travelling with the Husky for a while now and talon had proved to be a good companion. Darkside was still treasuring his freedom on this place and Talon was the only dog around how understood why. They had been kennelled together, and had gone through al those torturous experiments together. In fact, he didn't think he had gone through a single experiment without Talon at his side.

Darkside kicked a pebble and snapped out of his thoughts. A pebble? It must mean they're getting closer. Pebbles were normally found near the mountains. A scent was obvious in the air. A type of canine, but not one he had smelt before. Immediately he could smell prey scent. They were obviously well fed. A hatred sparked in him. These canines didn't have to go through what he and Talon had been through. They will never know how brutal life can be. They were lucky. And Darkside envied them to death.

"Do you smell that? Dog but not dog. I've met them before, before the humans took me in. They are large and doglike but not doglike at the sametime. Apparently they're called Wolves. Wolf. Remember not to underestimate them, my friend. I don't want to journey alone just yet," Talon barked out. Darkside nodded, at least now he knew what they were called.

"Oh, but they mustn't underestimate us either. I would love to be able to tear through this... Wolf's flesh. They should be able to at leats have a taste at how brutal life can be." The german shepherd muttered darkly. "Darkside, I need you to take this piece of human shit out of me. You think you can do that?" That was enough to snap Darkside out of his reign of hatred.

"What? And you didn't tell me earlier? It could be infected!" Darkside frantically barked. He stopped and pushed Talon down, inspecting the piece of metal on Talon's rump. It looked horrible. "Oh my... Why the hell did you not TELL me. Oh my fu...freaking hell." He bent down and fasten his teeth onto one of the holes in the wire. "This is obviously going to hurt...." He gave a warning before he pulled it out.
"Oh, but they mustn't underestimate us either. I would love to be able to tear through this... Wolf's flesh. They should be able to at least have a taste of how brutal life can be." muttered his friend darkly, venomously. Talon understood Darkside's hatred and anger, when humans captured them, they literally entered hell. Agony. Excruciating pain. Claw and fang wounds from fellow dogs did not hurt as much. Being burned alive from the inside, that was exactly how some of the experiments felt like. But that was not it, patches of his fur fell off because of what the humans gave him, or pushed inside him using a sharp silver stick. They burnt him, starved him, no, the two legged creatures burnt them, starved them. The worse thing was the humans would still give them food, not daily perhaps, didn't taste good at all, but it was still food. And Talon was unable to stop himself from eating and ending his own life. He was unable to leave this hell on earth. The experiments hurt, and sometimes he came close to dying but during his time in that hellhole, he never died. Obviously, or he wouldn't be here, enjoying this unusual freedom.

"We have survived this long haven't we?" Talon spoke, his tone was dark for he truly did not know whether or not it was a good thing or a bad thing. After all, who knew what the torturers from hell, the creatures who moved on two legs had in store for them, if they caught them. Something even more painful, if that was possible. But the husky shook the troubling thoughts away and was going to snap Darkside out of his anger trance when the german shepherd did it himself.

"What? And you didn't tell me earlier? It could be infected!" Talon blinked at him, he didn't know Darkside would be that worried. "Surely you saw the huge piece of metal sticking out of my flank right?" the husky said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes. Though a moment later, he smiled faintly "I'll be fine, I've been through worse. Beside I didn't want to bother you since you were already injured..." he muttered. Then his friend decided to push him down. Talon decided to go with the flow, though he let out a bark of alarm. The black husky dug his claws into the ground as Darkside fastened his teeth onto the metal and pulled it out with the warning of it going to hurt. Pain coursed through his whole being and he gritted his teeth, not wanting to yell out and alert everyone in the area. His vision flashed blood red for a moment before it slowly subsided.

Quickly, the husky twisted his head and began lapping at the wound, tasting his own blood on his tongue. He winced but managed to lift his head and flashed a grateful look at his friend, "Thanks, Darkside. You're a brilliant friend," and he meant it with all his heart. Talon did not know what he would do without him. "It would be better if we had something to stop the bleeding like a fucking cobweb or some shit like that," Talon muttered as he rose slowly onto his paws.

The husky shook himself, icy blue eyes scanning his surroundings, the bicolored dog touched Darkside's cheek in a friendly manner and in thanks before turning around to move deeper in Duskfire Glacier's territory, his movements though seemingly casual were wary and alert. "Shall we continue moving?"
Malachi nosed the empty cache, the stale scent of prey the only sign it had once been full. For two weeks now their hunts had run dry. Though they'd set out in good spirits, large game had evaded them and they'd returned tired, worn, and empty pawed. The stress of these failures was only one weight on the Alpha's mind. The days had dawned dark on Duskfire, and he longed for the light again, one that didn't seem to come with the growing hours of sunlight cast upon the land.

It was when he pulled away that he first heard the noise: a shuffling sound of creatures moving, and the muffled breath of whispered voices. He thought for a moment the voices to be that of his packmates, but when their deep vibrations fully registered he felt a cool rush and Malachi snapped his head in the direction from which they drifted. The voices were that of men - and the only men of Duskfire were he and Raphael. Malachi's lip twitched and he broke from his duty, abandoning the empty cache and setting his paws to intercept the wolves who blatantly trespassed upon their home.

But when he saw their silhouettes through the trees, he slowed in apprehension, and when their scent came to him on the Glacier air, Malachi drew to a halt. Their scent was nothing he had ever tasted before, foreign and strange, yet mingled with blood and something he did recognize. It took him a moment, but when understanding dawned on the young leader, Malachi narrowed his eyes and judged his next action with greater care. "Do you realize you're trespassing?" He questioned from where he stood. They carried the scent of Tuwawi's collar, a sharp and uncomfortable smell that spoke only of danger.
Tuwa cameo!

The pungent musk of alien blood spilled into the dry air like oil into water. At once, Tuwawi was on the alert. She cantered hurriedly, moving to intercept whoever was daring - or desperate - enough to cross their territory so blatantly. The thought of such an ignorant act boiled in her breast. Surely they must know of the pack's fangs prepared to rain down upon trespassers?

However, the familiar scent of sterile plastic and iodine brought the ember's advance to a screeching halt. Her movement slowed to a stalk, using the forest's spruce to shroud her position. Normally, the Sveijarn would not deign to hide from strangers - preferring to rush them with an aggressive first strike as Siku had always done. However, she peered from afar, a sharp fear heavy like a stone in her gut. Below, beyond her rise, stood two canines (as far as she could tell) vibrantly colored but oddly morphed. One was binary in color with a curled tail, hopelessly littered with gruesome marks across the expanse of his body. The other was larger in scale with a meaty maw and a long, sloping figure. Malachi had arrived moments before, but Tuwawi observed his tense posture become clearly uncomfortable in the presence of beasts.

Tuwawi lurked closer, smelling the scent of her upright shadows - man - upon them. Half of her conscious begged her to attack and dispatch the intruders, yet the other half desired to interrogate them. Had they been sent by her abductors? Why would they come so far into Duskfire? Was man looking for her? For now, she remained cemented to her position, but leered with intent and waited to see what they would do next.
