Any doggies wanna play?

Strange scents intruded in his lands, and he didn't like it. The smelled like nothing he had ever scented before, something unnatural. And yet, it had he faint scent of something wolflike. He had spent the day slipping from shadow to shadow, his huge body swallowed by their depths. He had yet to find the source of the strange scents though, and his maw still thirsted for blood. Silver eyes searched hungrily, hoping blood would be spilt, no matter what then scents led to.
It was Bazi's second trip to the Flatlands in as many days. The imagined scent of Paarthurnax brought her back for a second look, but it was all for naught. The as yet unidentified smell of something foreign stuck in her nose instead, sometimes thick enough to trigger her gag reflex.

But it was a wolf that she spied up ahead, winding his way suspiciously through the landscape. Black, with the look of someone on a mission. Bazi threw caution to the wind and began her approach, curious - she was far from Swiftcurrent Creek, and smelled mostly of travel.
Crescendo flicked his ears as he saw someone approach, he stopped and turned around. It was a fae, he noticed with glee. Faes were lots of fun. As he approached her, the faint scent of Swiftcurrent hit him, buried beneath scents of travel. His little grin faded, and he sighed. Well, fights were fun too. "Looking for another of your pack mates? Sadly, we don't have any hostages at the moment." He said, truly sad. His eyes glinted coldly with the hope of a fight to come, and he stared at the girl with his stance stiff, but neutral.
I'll work with it, but I specifically mentioned her smell in my post. ;) Do you do spar pit?

Before she could open her mouth, the stranger made assumptions - correct ones, as it turned out. Bazi quickly put two and two together. This was a sample of the wolves that had pilfered Star, and returned her pack-mates in a sorry state. She surveyed him silently, weighing her options. Scimitar would not condone a fight, but Scimitar was not here - and neither, by the looks of things, was this wolf's friends.

But it didn't feel right. There was tension in the air, but not enough. Bazi kept her distance, tail swishing near her hocks. "Did she trespass?" she asked, watching the male cautiously.
Crescendo snarled. "Damn right she did! And she had the nerve to mouth off, too." He smirked, silver eye dark and impassive. "Consider yourself lucky. The last trespasser took a shortcut to hell." He had come across the mangled body, seen glimpses of a white pelt and green eyes through blood and filth. The ravens had taken care of the garbage left on the border as a warning to others. Had she been clean, he would have recognized her as a figure from his past, but her once beautiful pelt was past recognition.

(I never have before)
"Damn right she did!" he roared, his passions flaring. Bazi kept her cool, studying his face from several paces away. His expression betrayed very little, but his eyes glittered angrily in the muted daylight. Over Star? That scrawny, maladjusted runt? The Swiftcurrent wolves narrowed her eyes in thought. "Why did you let her go, exactly?" she asked, remembering what the returning party had said about Star simply being let go as though it hardly mattered to the imprisoning pack. It astounded Bazi somewhat she had not simply turned tail and left by now.. but curiosity rooted her to the spot. If she remained dignified, perhaps this wolf would. They were, after all, on neutral territory - if that mattered to him at all.
Crescendo smiled calmly, expression cold once again. "The little toy had broken, and we had already gotten all we needed from her." His expression turned sour. "I for one, don't want a broken wolf. They're no fun anymore, you know? I imagine she'll go jump of a cliff soon." his voice was calm, dangerously so. "Why don't you come with me, pretty? I'm sure we could have lots of fun." His eyes glinted even more dangerously and he stalked toward her, soundlessly. He licked his chops hungrily, but it wasn't prey he searched for.
Going to assume this happens after Scimitar/Bazi return from their scouting, because it's so open-ended/might result in scary dramatic biz. :D

"The little toy had broken, and we had already gotten all we needed from her."

Cryptic. Star had returned beaten and starved, but seemed otherwise unharmed. Unless..

The black wolf advanced. Bazi took a single step back, eyes glued to his face. She knew very well what he meant. There was a primal hunger in his cold eyes that she recognized - not from Scimitar, exactly, who had taken her gently, but the raw heat in the foreign male's eyes was at least a distant cousin of what she had felt on the journey north.

To Bazi's disgust, she was drawn to it.

"You took her," she murmured, retreating as Crescendo advanced. "All of you?"
The huge dark male completely ignored the question. He read the girl's eyes like a book, and smirked. "Come on, darling. You know you want to." he loped faster toward her now, absentmindedly wondering if this would turn into a game of 'Tag, fuck me'. He quite liked the game, and hoped that she would to. Sadly, he remembered that he hadn't played any games like this with Star. Oh well. he would make it up to himself.
"Come on, darling. You know you want to."

Bazi's heart raced in her chest. As a rank newcomer to the world he so indelicately referenced, the control she exercised over her newly acquired urges was.. inexact. Should could hear her pulse screaming in her head, felt the heat of desire rise within her like a tide.

But this wasn't Scimitar. Worse - this was the enemy that had maimed him. Bazi's lips tightened and rode up over slick teeth, and she met the advancing Crescendo's hungry leer with an angrily snarled "No. Get away from me." Every muscle in her tightened, poised for flight - but why hadn't she left already? Desire battled anger battled fear, building a storm of hot emotion behind the Arctic girl's blue-grey stare.
Crescendo tutted. "Come now, pretty. No need to be so shy." He loved the way this fae reacted to him, the way desire and emotion clashed behind her pretty eyes. "No one needs to know." he purred seductively, slowly approaching the fae. Silver eyes flickered hungrily behind a veil of darkness, Crescendo could barely stop himself from lunging at the fae, holding her down...
And still he stalked closer.
Though her face was arranged into the very picture of defiance, something rooted Bazi to the spot. He slowed - she watched, waiting. She could smell the heat of him from this distance, the building desire - and despite herself, Bazi imagined what it would be like. Brief. Violent. Scimitar had unleashed a hunger in her that was taking on a life of its own - a force much stronger than anything Bazi had ever imagined could inhabit her. With a wheezed gasp, she retreated again. "No," she repeated, more to herself than the advancing male.

Finally, good sense spun the lithe girl around and propelled her at considerable speed in the opposite direction.

Up to you if he gives chase - I want another one imminently either way. :D
Crescendo's eye followed her, noting how her muscles tensed and bunched and her fur. He lunged toward her, but she was already gone. He yelled delightfully after her "I'm it!" before propelling himself after her with immense speed. He would catch her. And then they would have some fun, and she would like it. She wanted, he could tell, and he would give. Forcibly, if he had to. "You can run, but you can't hide!"

***** = awesome title for next thread. I'm all in, if you start it and tag me : )
