Bindi was ready to start contributing to the pack fully, and let her new alpha know of it. She had already been filling the caches every day, and taking quick patrols which were super boring. However she liked being alone, she could think of new insults and ways to get back at other wolves. Her focus now turned to the sky as she called for her alpha, letting her voice mix with the winds above her.

She was ready to tell him what she would be doing to contribute, after all she figured after filling all the caches , she might as well be a gamekeeper. Along with being a Warden and Warrior, maybe friendly spars will be better than verbal abuse, she thought. In her eyes she had done the most to help this pack, and she wasn't even suppose to be staying long. Everyone had full stomachs and a safe place to rest at night due to her, and she had got nothing in return. She knew Fitz was also patrolling the boarders and helping, but it was his pack, he needed to be doing the necessities.

Her first meeting with Raissa didn't go well, and the midnight wolfess had no doubt the tri-colored wolf ran home to complain about her. Nevertheless Bindi didn't care, she was ready to prove which of the two wolfess was the stronger one. At the moment the obsidian wolf didn't care for Fitz, all she wanted was a "friendly" rivalry between herself and Raissa, perhaps the two could go out and spar sometime. Turning her attention back to the task at hand, she patiently waited for her alpha to appear from the shadows.
A call went up for the alpha and for a minute, FitzDutiful didn't realise that it meant him. It was still so new for him. At the same time, he wasn't about to give in to no one. He had worked too hard for this, they all had. Quickly, he made his way to Bindi, the newest member of his pack but by no means the least valuable.

"You called?" he queried as he approached, wondering how he could help the adventurous youngster. He was looking forward to teaching her that pack meant family, that family was home and everything that could be gained from successful pack activities. Little did he know that Bindi was feeling that FitzDutiful did nothing.
She watched as Fitz approached and even though she lowered herself to no one, she gave a slight nod of her head to simply greet him. "Yes, I called because I'm ready to tell you how I will contribute to the pack" she spoke confidently and didn't studder one word. Most new members would shrivel down, but she saw that as a sign of weakness so instead she stood firm and proud.

"I want to become a gamekeeper, warden, and a warrior for the pack. I have already filled up most of the caches and have taken a few boarder patrols." She knew Fitz was going to be busy and she still held a bit of respect for him, from when they first met. So she simply was doing him a favor, but perhaps by bringing up her skills, it will get him to seek out the other wolves so they will pull their weight also.
The midnight princess was confident. She calmly listed out exactly what she had called him for and before he had any chance to respond she was listing exactly what it was she would do and the skills she would obtain. FitzDutiful very carefully hid a smile from appearing. He wasn't about to break down her confidence - it was well deserved. Neither was he going to let her think she knew more.

He looked her over. She was a beautiful wolf and he wasn't going to lie about that, though his heart had already been taken by another he was young enough that his eyes strayed. However, this gaze wasn't admiration - it was assessing.

"So you've filled caches, and patrolled the borders. Both are a good start to gamekeeping and wardenship. How do you intend to further your knowledge in these skills?" Just doing the same thing over and over wasn't enough to make him believe she could represent her pack in these duties. He needed to know that she knew how to improve. Warrior was another matter that he would bring up once these questions has been answered.
Bindi carefully took in his questions and immediately answered back."For gamekeeper, with your permission I would like to hold a pack hunt. For warden I intend to find new possible recruits on the boarders, along with training with other wolves to improve both my own skills and theirs as well." She didn't like having to ask permission to do something, but in this case it was essential.

The obsidian wolfess waited for his reaction and already began to ponder ways she would work on her warrior trade, since he didn't bring it up with the others. It was rare to see her serious like this, something Fitz once again had the privilege of seeing. She wants to be know as the trouble maker to everyone else in the pack, but to her alpha she must precent herslef properly.
FitzDutiful considered her request seriously. A pack hunt, for large game, could be quite dangerous. They were only four in number and Tempest was still recovering from injuries. "I ask that you hold off the pack hunt until we have enough members to defend the lands while others are gone. I will, however, grant you the privilege of leading that first charge if you complete a task for me." He hoped that she would understand that sentiment and enjoy the task. "It is worth while scouting out where the big game is, after all, we need to know where the food is to hunt it. So I charge you with finding two sources of big game for us to hunt. Report back to me and when we have enough members we'll hunt it."

He let her respond to that before continuing the conversation of her warden skills. "Recruiting members is actually a task for outriders. As such, as much as recruitment is appreciated I won't accept that as proof of your warden skills. Training, border patrols and border strengthening are, however, worthy tasks. If you'd like a task to complete for that as well, I am sure I can provide you with one." There was a lot to take in here and, in truth, FitzDutiful was pleased with how he was handling it. In his mind he was performing a WWPD check. What Would Peregrine Do.
Lol I love the WWPD, totally needs to be a thing!

She took into note that she needed to hold off on the pack hunt, and she wasn't shocked at all. There were very little wolves right now and they defiantly needed more members or "playmates" for Bindi to tease around with. A smile appeared when Fitz spoke of a challenge, and the midnight wolfess being competitive, took up the challenge. She already knew that there were foxes in the area, from when she went hunting with Raissa. However she still needed another source, a better source than foxes.

It was then Fitz spoke about the warden trade. Bindi very well knew that outriders were the ones to recruit, but if Fitz was busy she would have to recruit the wolves at the boarder. "I'll will finding valuable sources of food and report back to you as soon as possible. I will also train with the wolves we have now in the pack, and go on daily boarder patrols." She gave a nod to show approval of what he said, but still had a question in her mind. "What shall you have me do for warrior? I was planning on holding some friendly sparring rounds with a few of the pack wolves."
FitzDutiful was very impressed by the newest member of the pack. She seemed very eager to learn, help and better herself. If he had known that she intended to leave he would have happily ignored it, for surely one wishing to learn trades wanted the best for their pack?

He didn't have to think very hard on what he wanted her to do for her warrior trade. "First, you must win at least one spar." He knew that could be difficult but if she sparred enough it would happen eventually. There was a chance that Bindi could do that while training for her warden skill too. "Secondly, I want you to think of some tactical manoeuvres that could come in handy if we were to launch an assault and report them back to me."

He really hoped the need wouldn't arise, but it was better to be prepared. A warrior was the counterpoint to the defensive skills of a warden. Whereas a warden only needed to ensure their lands were safe a warrior, in FitzDutiful's mind, needed to know how to attack against another.
Bindi nodded to Fitz's suggestion for her future warrior trade, and she gladly accepted. She figured for the friendly spar, that Tempest wasn't an option due to her healing injuries, so that left Raissa for Fitz. The obsidian female wouldn't mind practicing with either, although she knew with Raissa it would be much more fun.

"I'll be looking forward to the spar, and I will surely report back to once I come across acceptable, tactical manoeuvres." Bindi believed that sparring would be fun, however extremely important at the same time. She was always getting in verbal fights, but nothing to physically serious.
FitzDutiful nodded, the impressed feeling resurging once again. He felt like he had a dedicated pack member in Bindi, even if she didn't get along with his mate. A brief thought glistened that maybe he could have two mates but it disappeared before he even registered her. "I look forward to hearing about your progress."

With that, FitzDutiful took his leave. He wanted to get to know the plant life around Silvertip Mountain. He had been here once before in a naturalist capacity to assess the danger of the mountain and had found none. Now he needed to know the best places for herbs and healing plants to be found just in case they gained a healer. That knowledge could be valuable for first aid too.
She gave a nod to Fitz statement, and watched him stroll off. She wasn't sure what the future held, but she hoped it was good. Even if Bindi wasn't planning on staying very long, she wouldn't leave until the pack was better established and had more members. She was honored to be a founding member and would most likely feel guilting when leaving the pack, but in her heart she knew exploring was what she loved. Bindi already knew she would not be spending all of her time on the mountian, and would most likely explore other parts of the Great Bear Wilderness.
