@Raissa, set the day after we meet Tempest in the cave.

Bindi awoke to the sun shining on her face, which for her was not pleasant. She slowly crawled out of her old den, and made her way to a nearby cache she filled up yesterday. Even though she wanted a fresh kill, Bindi had not filled it up for nothing. So once she reached her safely hidden cache, she began to dig up a hare she found yesterday. One of Bindi's major reasons for join this pack, was so she could have fresh large kills, not this rabbit crap everyday.

Even though the midnight female could catch other prey, she found herself enjoying these certain hunts, because rabbits didn't fight back. With the limp hare in her jaws she continued to walk away from her den, and towards a small stream she found. Once at her destination, the female plopped down on her stomach and began to feed on her meal. It wasn't long before a gust of wind went by and, she picked up a familiar scent, one she had smelled before but did not know who it belonged to. Now on high alert she sat on her haunches and scanned the area for any intruders.
Bindi's head went up, showing she had scented Raissa and she looked around warily. Raissa had discovered the small stream when they had first come to the mountain and today she decided it would be a good place to come and clear her thoughts, soothed by the running water. But it looked like someone had gotten there first. Someone who by no means was soothing at all.

"Relax, will ya? It's only me." she said in surrender, padded up next to the soot furred female. She bent down to take a refreshing drink before turning her gaze back to the wolfess, who had seemed to be having a feast.
She watched as a familiar face appeared, one she did not want to see. Keeping her cool she watched as the female drank from the stream. Ignoring her she went back to eating and enjoying her meal, in hopes the female would walk away before she said something stupid.

Instead the tri-colored wolfess just watched her eat her food so lifting her head Bindi asked her a question. "Before you start drooling over my damn food, do you want some?" Bindi would play nice for now, but when the time came she would crack down on this female. Besides she was eating and was not about to stop, just to have a little fun.
Raissa shook her head, still watching the dark female. She was still just as rude as she was before, in the cave. "Nah, I like mine fresh." she countered. The rabbit Bindi was eating seemed to have little pieces of dirt and rocks stuck in it's fur and frankly, that didn't look too appealing to Raissa. Sure, she had her fair share of dug up prey, but she at least cleaned it off before eating it.

"You like it here so far?" she asked absentmindedly, trying to start conversation, even if it was just useless small talk.
So Raissa likes fresh meat too, well then she can find her own damn food, Bindi thought to herself. "Suit yourself, but don't think about taking any of the meat from the caches I filled up." Bindi normally would have offered to hunt with the wolfess, but she had no such plans with this one.

When the female asked about how she like it here, the midnight wolfess rolled her eyes, but answered. "Well I haven't left yet, so I guess that means yes?" She explained still unsure if her own answer. Did she like it here? I mean the area was nice, but with so little wolves, a lot of responsiblity is on everyone's shoulders. "What about you" Bindi asked before going back to her meal, still in a decent mood she didn't make any nasty remark this time.
Ignoring the dark woman's nasty glances she was pleased to hear an actual answer instead of a biting remark. Even if she wasn't going to take a leadership role in this pack, she still thought it important to try and be on everyone's good side, including Bindi's. If that meant taking deep breaths so she didn't lash out, then so be it.

"I think it's fine, but it's rather empty hear with only the four of us. I hope we get some new members soon." she replied honestly. She really did hope they would get some more members, it would feel much more packlike when they did. And with only 3 members patrolling and filling caches, things would get pretty tough pretty fast. Raissa hoped that Tempest wasn't trying to do anything too hard as she was still healing and that should be her top priority. Raissa herself had made it her job to make sure all the members were feeling at home and if they needed help with anything, especially Tempest, that she could be there for them. She had also worked on make caches and checking out the territory to make sure it was safe as well as to see if there were any things they could us to their advantage.
She listened as Raissa spoke about wanting new members. Bindi to wished for more members, but for a whole diffrent reason. She needed some "playmates" to mess around with, and new members would be the perfect choice. However she might end up chasing them away, so just like she's doing now, she'll have to play nice.

"Yea, well the more members you have in a pack, the more mouths you have to feed. I just hope we all go on a hunt soon because I'm tired of this small prey shit." It was about time the new pack needed to go on a hunt together, it would also bring them closer. Surprisingly, it was also on these hunts that Bindi kept her big mouth shut.
Deep breaths, Raissa, deep breaths she thought to herself, closing her eyes for a mere second to regain her calmness. If she was going to make this work for Fitz, then she couldn't go around being bitchy to anyone she remotely disliked. She forced herself to nod and give a small smile when she spoke next.

"Yeah. In fact, you up for anything right now?" she asked nicely, hoping a hunt would help get her mind off strangling Bindi to death.

The morning was cool and frost coated the ground so prey might be harder to find, especially young or week prey, but it was always worth a shot, even if they saw a herd of something far off in the distance, they could always track it for next time.
She watched as the female closed her eyes and controlled her anger. Bindi wasn't satisfied with that, but when Raissa offered to go on a hunt all thoughts escaped her mind. Looking down at her rabbit she lifted her head and gave a nod of approval. For now Bindi will hold off on tormenting the tri-colored wolfess, and do it some other time.

Remembering where she saw a few foxes, the midnight wolf gave a flick of her tail telling Raissa to follow. She was feeling to lazy to take them down before, but now that she had an extra pair of teeth it would be a lot easier. She pranced her way to the foxes, and once they were in her sight she lowered herself to the ground.
Raissa let Bindi lead the way and gave a slight nod of approval as she followed her towards their soon to be prey. Soon after starting to follow the dark she-wolf, she caught a scent in the air. It as the scent of foxes. So that's what they were hunting.

When the russet creatures came into view, Raissa lowered herself onto the ground next to Bindi, eager to hear what she had in mind.

"What's the plan?" she whispered I a voice so quiet she wondered if Bindi could even hear her.
Watching ahead the obsindian wolfess saw a total of five foxes, one which looked slightly injured with a minor limp, but overall looked healthy. She kept her ears and tail down and head forward while she listened to Raissa's question. A smile grew on Bindi's face before asking "how many you want dead?"

"One of them is injured, so we could go for just that one. Or.... we could flank them and try and get more than just one, but it's going to be harder." She turned her head to face the other wolfess, and waited for her choice. Bindi was capable of taking down a lone fox, but when others are around they may try and fight back.
a mischievous glint flickered to life in Raissa's fire-toned eyes at Bindi's question. "You up for a challenge?" she asked deviously. Sure it would be harder to take out more than one, but if they got at least three then not only would they have plenty of food, but the pelts could be used for bedding in each of their caves, something that would help immensely when Raissa did have pups.

The tri-colored fae nodded her head at the flanking idea. That would work, if they could just do a quick attack and take out few before they even knew what was going on. And if they attacked from both sides that would add even more confusion to the russet animals.

"I say we flank 'em, like you suggested. That way we can go in fast and get 'em before they even know what's happening. I say we try to get at least three, including the one with the limp." she suggested quietly, turning to meet Bindi's eyes to see what she thought of her idea.
She listened to Raissa's idea and was happy she agreed with the flanking sugestion. Of course she was going to agree it was Bindi's suggestion, who wouldn't like it. Taking out more than one was definetly a good choice, and a nod of the midnight wolfess showed approval.

"Sounds good, I'll go to the left and you to the right." She knew they could communicate through body language once they split up. So taking cover behind some bushes, Bindi made her way closer to the foxes. She would go for there legs that way, they couldn't run away. Watching for where Raissa would go, the obsidian wolfess would keep low until receiving a nod to show she was ready.
I rolled here and got a 4 so they were unsuccessful :'(

Their plan was set in motion and they would be eating well tonight. The tri-colored girl nodded to acknowledge what Bindi had said and slipped off to the right of the foxes, her body low to the ground and her paw steps light as feathers. Once she was in position to pounce, she looked to Bindi to find her waiting for her signal.

Raissa locked eyes with the dark female and gave a sharp nod before focusing all her attention on the foxes. She took a deep breath and leapt into the crowd of them, her jaws wide and aimed low to try and grab their legs. Unfortunately, the biggest male fox lashed back out at her and landed deep scratch on the petite girl's shoulder. She let out a yowl of pain and stumbled backwards, the fox hissing at her.
Damn, that sucks

The dark wolfess watched as she received a nod from Raissa, and the female lept toward a fox. However something happened not according to the plan, the largest male fox struck at the tri-colored wolfess. Now Bindi had to decide, pack mate who she didn't really like, or a fox. Unfortunately for her kind nature the midnight wolf leaped after the large male fox's leg, so Raissa could recover.

She skimmed his leg, but it was nothing serious that would cause to much damage. Bindi's protectiveness now taking over, she stood between the foxes, and Raissa. Why do the gods hate me the wolfess cursed in her mind, before letting out a snarl toward the foxes. It didn't take long for all of the foxes to scatter away, and Bindi turned to face her hunting partner, with a pretty pissed of face. "Are you ok" she asked sounding annoyed, but she actually did care about the female.
Yeah...

Of course Bindi would think it was all her fault. Maybe if she had been the one to get clawed then she would understand, but instead Raissa was faced with having to deal with a grumpy bitch and a heavily bleeding shoulder. She shook her pelt and stood up, licking the blood from her wound. It stung, but at least this way it had less chance of getting infected.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks for that." she had to admit, she was grateful for Bindi stepping in and chasing them off, or she might have more then a bleeding shoulder.

"Too bad, I didn't think that was going to happen. Next time though." she said in her way of apologizing.
Last post from me!! Great thread!

"No problem" she replied to Raissa's thank you. Even if Bindi did hate the female, she knew she would never abandon a packmate. Stepping around to see the wound, the obsidian wolfess spoke surprisingly gentle "looks like he got you good, you should probably clean it off in the stream." The cold water may sting, but it will clean the wound correctly.

"Anyways, we'll get them next time" Bindi replied with a small smile, and then turned to say her goodbye to Raissa, before trotting off toward her den. She still didn't care for Raissa a whole lot, but Bindi feels the hunting experience brought them a little closer. After all she was still learning how to lead a hunt, and both females could have done something diffrent to prevent a failing hunt.
Yeah, it was fun :)

Raissa gave Bindi a small smile as she watched the dark wolfess trot off. She could tell that she was going to be a committed member and the thought made her smile. She quickly heaved herself onto her paws, wincing as she put weight on her right leg and she drew in a sharp breath. She gingerly lifted off the ground, not wanting to move much and started to half hobble half limp to the creek. When she got there she knew she would have to literally lay in the freezing water.

She grumbled in annoyance before stepping into the icy water. The creek wasn't very deep so it only went up to her ankle, not reaching the actual wound by a good foot. She slowly bent down and leaned over to the side, letting out a hiss as the cold water hit her raw skin. After a few painful seconds, the cold started to numb her shoulder and she started to feel better. When she was sure it was clean she walked out of the stream and shook her pelt, scattering little droplets of water all over. Hopefully everything would work out better then today.
