Kadence slowly blinked her groggy eyes awake before closing them immediately after, not wanting to face the world. At least the thick canopy of trees blocked out most of the light so she wasn't completely blinded. Her mind was slow and tired, not wanting to remember why she wasn't in her den and why she was curled up next to some guy.
She lifted her head and immediately regretted it. She ached. Pretty much all over, but the worst was right between her thighs.
"What the fuck...?" she trailed off, her voice husky from sleep. Then she remembered. Crescendo.
"Ah shit." she cursed, laying back down and snuggling back into Crescendo's warm embrace, not wanting to get up and think, let alone do anything else.
Crescendo blinked open a single eye as Kadence fidgeted against him. He stopped still and thought for a minute until he suddenly remembered. Unlike Kadence, however, a small grin came to his handsome features. He was content to just lay there for a while, silver eyes scanning their surroundings as Kadence snuggled against him. Finally he sighed contently, and let his cheek drop to the cool earth. His eyes narrowed, and finally shut.
Crescendo woke some time later, sore but alert. He looked down at Kadence with silver eyes. He licked the spot between her ears, speaking in a low voice as he did so. "Wakey, wakey, little shadow."
A voice filled her ears and she felt a soothing sensation between her ears. It had been a little while since she woke up before but she still wasn't ready to give up the last content bits of sleep she could scavenge. She let out a groan and buried her face in her paws, refusing to be woken up.
"Gof awayf." she mumbled, her voice muffled by both her fur and Crescendo's. She squeezed her eyes shut and tried her best to fall back asleep.
Crescendo grinned at Kadences words, and carefully detangled himself from her. He melted into the forest, calling back "Don't move, little Shadow." Luck was with Crescendo that morning, and he soon returned with the warm body of a medium sized hare clenched in his jaws. He placed it by Kadence's muzzle. "How privileged you are, to be fed breakfast in bed by the mighty me." He grinned, eyes warm with amusement.
She only grunted in protest when her warm pillow detached itself from her and disappeared into the darkness. Though she did not like her heat source leaving, she was fine with the order of staying there. She simply curled up tighter and closed her eyes, prepared to fall back asleep until she thought it fit to wake up. That was until the voice came back bringing with it the smell of fresh prey.
Kadence popped one sleepy eye opened and looked at Crescendo, the smile of amusement on his face. She opened her other eye and got out of her comfortable position, stretching and yawning. When she was fully awake she gave him a quick lick on the cheek.
"I suppose I am." she replied with a light smile before turning to the rabbit and taking a small bite.
Crescendo smiled and lay down beside her, returning the favor before taking a small bite out of the rabbit. It tasted good, but he wasn't the hungry-yet. He was content with watching little shadow eat.
Unknown to him, Kadence threatened to destroy the cold armor he had but up around himself. The fridgid wind in his heart blew itself out when he was with her, and a new emotion, unknown to Crescendo before, lingered in the deepest reaches of his heart. He had no name for it, didn't even know it was there.
Crescendo took a small bite of the rabbit before stopping, simply watching her with a look in his eyes she couldn't place. It was a caring look. At first she was alarmed, alarmed that he cared for her and she found herself in a storm of emotions, all of them swirling around and around in her head, fighting to be the one that was strongest for the handsome male in front of her. It was so confusing that she just shut it out, all of it and just concentrated on the rabbit, which suddenly seemed too big for her.
She took one last bite and then rolled onto her side, a tiny smile on her face. She looked up to find Crescendo's eyes watching her and her smile widened a tiny bit more.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked in a light voice, the smile still present on her face.
Crescendo was at a loss. He didn't want to admit what he had been thinking about, so he blurt out the first thing that came to mind. "Umm...You look sexy when you eat?" Realizing how stupid that sounded, he mentally bashed his head against a tree. His silver eyes met hers for an instant, and he looked at the rabbit, confused. Where was the cold, hard Crescendo? he thought, before realizing he didn't care.
He looked at loss for words at her question, which only made her smile widen. This side of him was cute. His answer, which seemed like something that he obviously made up at the last second made her actually laugh. She looked sexy when she ate? That was a new one for sure.
"Oh, well I guess I should say thank you?" she responded, laughter clear in her sparkling yellow eyes as they searched to meet his confused and embarrassed silver ones.
Crescendo smiled back at her, Kadence's laughter making him happy. His silver eyes drifted back to her yellow ones. He suddenly felt the need to touch her pelt again. He shifted closer to her so that their pelts brushed, and began nosing at her neck and face. He loved the feel of her soft fur against his, and showed his appreciation by kissing her muzzle gently.

The smile stayed on her face as he kissed her gently but she still pulled away after a couple seconds. She was tired and still trying to get her emotions in check and doing anything with him would not help that at all. She pulled her muzzle back but left their fur touching, giving him a light smile, the uncertainty probably clear in her yellow eyes.

Crescendo saw his uncertainty reflected in the girls eyes. He sighed, suddenly gripped by sleepyness. He closed his eyes and shifted closer to Kadence, reveling in the warmth of her her. "Mmmmmm" he groaned, then slowly drifted back to sleep. He hoped he would stay with him for a little while, and sleepily muttered. "Kadence, stay"
Yeah, it's a loooooooong time, but until then they can always try *wink wink*

She let out a chuckle at his half asleep murmur for her to stay. Like she was going anywhere, he was the one who had woken her up in the first place! She snuggled back into his warmth, their fur mingling and creating a blanket she was happy to sleep the day away in.
"Like I was going anywhere in the first place." she replied sleepily, her full belly and warm body lulling her back into a peaceful sleep.
