ooc: Osprey's "Lovegame" plot. 10th February - Day 4. Set somewhere between Caldera and the Blackfeather woods (according to Starrlight's map).

AW for people, who replied in "Rough drafts", but anyone, who has a male character, is welcome to join. The only requirement is that your character acts more canine-like and not as a human. Osprey is in heat, therefore she acts differently and has a strong specific scent that can affect your character on a certain level. Imagine, what would he do as a wolf, if they happened to be around her?

The participants have indicated the following reason(s) for this warning: Mild sexual innuendo - as per rules. :)

In the end Osprey had not returned to the plateau. She had decided that she was no baby, who had to stick to curfew's, but a grown up, who could do all and everything she wanted with her free time. After all - there were plenty of pack members to keep each other alive not to miss her for a while. Whatever had happened in the past few days was a bit foggy in her memory, but she didn't wallow in sorrow for that. After all it was today that mattered. Carpe diem! And screw everything else.

This time her inner compass had not been faulty - she was heading the right way because she recalled taking this route now and then. Still happy and giddy, playful and childish, still feeing like the greatest person in the world. Only the craving for something she could not quit pinpoint had grown stronger, tiptoeing on the thin line of becoming almost desperate. Too bad she didn't know, what she was looking for, even though it sometimes felt like the people she had met along the way had their own ideas of, what it was.

Oh! She stopped in her tracks, when she caught sight of a white deer skull lying few feet away from her. Hey, there! She greeted it, wagging her tail and approaching it in a careful manner. Finally she flopped down in front of it, put one paw on it's forehead and eyed it curiously. Now, you look sad...
This is literally the closes one to the Bypass, so imma have flash jump in. Also I have no idea how to write this, so apologies if it's bad.

The male was tracking a deer scent straight out of the Bypass. At first, he thought that it was really close, but as he progressed further, he realised that it was quite far away. The golden beta idiotically track the scent further. He passed some pack scent (BFW), and somehow managed to trip against something, roll down a slope and land on his face at the bottom of the slope.

"Oof!" He muttered as he got back up and shook dust from his pelt. He sniffed the air, trying to figure out where he was, as a new unfamiliar scent drifted towards him. His mind immediately got all fuzzed up, and Flash ended up slumping down, a faraway look on his face. As reality slapped him in the face, he shot back up. He sniffed the air, while his body told him to run, his mind told him to follow it.

Mind over body, he padded closer, tracking the scent until he saw some deer bones. Curious, he looked up just to see the skull of the deer a couple of yards away, with a female next to it. Something took over his brain, and he stalked over, reaching the female. "Well, hello there." He grinned as he studied the female, circling her.

Leo, what did you just get yourself into, you can't type a lusty character. Well, you can try. I literally have no idea what I just typed
ooc: just play out, what feels right for your character. The point of this is having fun and enjoying a good roleplaying. :)

The skull, of course, did not answer and stared at her with dark and empty eye sockets. Osprey stared back for a while, as if playing a game of "do not blink", then moved her paw to toss the skull around and see, what was underneath it. Even though it held a vague scent of long since decayed meat - there was not a single bit left. She considered gnawing on the bone, when suddenly she heard someone coming.

And a Someone he was - indeed! It was a good-looking young wolf with an unusual golden-white fur, leaf green eyes and - wow - he was coming straight to her. Osprey forgot the skull imediately and returned the greeting with a sincere smile. She got to her feet and with her ears pressed against her skull and the tail kept low and wagging, she closed the distance between the two, leaning forward to have a sniff at his muzzle.
The female replied with a sincere smile. The male grin at her as she bent down and wagged her tail, reaching out to take a sniff at his muzzle. He responded with a woof, smiling at her. "What's a pretty lady like you doing alone in this wilderness." He said as he began to circle her, his pelt lightly brushing hers. "I'm Flash. And you are?" he inquired, continuing his observation of the female.

The smell was coming off directly from the female, around her lower regions. Somehow, they smell reminded him of something. Thinking all the way back to when he was still a pup, he remembered the smell would come off from his mother, and Falcon would take her out for a while, and she'd come back without the smell. Flash wondered if the same was happening to this female.
As Flash went past her, Osprey had a chance to have a better sniff of him as a whole. He wore a common scent that was so usual to pack wolves - it was complex and mixed up from several individual ones. Yet somewhere beneath this invisible cloak lied his own particular smell and she caught a whiff of it. He said something then, but she didn't pay much attention to it, being more interested in finding, what his "true" scent was like.

He asked, what her name was - her eyes found his gaze and briefly locked with it. "Guess!" she said in a teasing voice and a sly smile appeared in her lips. Encouraged by the fact that he didn't mind her previous approach, she came close to him again, this time she carefully sniffed the fur on his neck, here and there nuzzling it, then her muzzle moved upwards, until she stopped at the base of his ear, where the scent was stronger. She breathed it in, letting it fill her nostrils and closed her eyes, while enjoying the pleasant taste it had.
The female continued to sniff him, as if trying to get a better hold of his scent. She sniffed around him. Flash continued to inhale her scent, which messed up his mind even more. His inside screamed for him to go away, but his mind was too messed up from her intoxicating scent. He reached out with his tail, slowly warping it around her, wondering if she would reject the interaction. Hopefully not.

"Guess!"She teased lightly. "Well, I'm sure a pretty lady like you must have a pretty name." He grinned back, teasing slightly as she did. He continued grinning as she then proceeded to sniff around the base of his neck, and then moved upward towads the base of his ears. The golden male couldn't help but moan slightly as she did so, and he pushed himself into her fur.
Osprey responded to his touch by briefly resting her head atop his nape - it was a nice feeling to have someone this close, not to be restrained by private space or fears of scaring someone away and being inappropriate. The plateau wolves kept to themselves most of the time and she had no den of her own, and spent her nights sleeping in a shallow pit filled with leaves all by herself. Therefore memory of always having somebody by her side had faded, she had forgotten, what it was like. But now it was brought back with full force and with it this deep buried longing of having a special person in her life, who would accept her and not reject her.

She felt a sudden surge of happiness, woofed and sprang away from Flash, going in a playbow and inviting him for a game.
I awwed so hard when I read you post you don't even want to know. Slight PP assuming Osprey followed him, hope you don't mind.

So they stood there, tails intwined (OKAY THIS IS GETTING TOO CORNY), with her head lightly pushing into his neck. He stood there, calming accepted their position as she suddenly jumped away from him and bent down, wagging her tail and inviting him for a game. Excitement rushed through him, and he swooped down, yipping as he joined in her game.

"Tag!" he called out as he nudged her lightly and began racing away, stopping a little way letting her catch up, before continuing to race along the way. The golden male ran a little bit, before wheeling around and stopped, yipping happily.
Usually Osprey was the quickest one, therefore Flash took her by surprise, proving that his parents had given him a name that fit him perfectly. If challenged for a race, then she did not have to be asked twice. She went after him full speed and caught up with him soon after. However she was never given a chance to find out, who was the fastest of them too, because the male, who was a little ahead of her, stopped abruptly. Unable to change the trajectory, nor the speed, she made a big leap over him the last moment and fell to the ground on the other side.

Though it hurt a little, Osprey began to laugh joyously, as she managed to "reassemble" herself to lie on her back, belly exposed and all four paws drawn to the body and having her gaze fixed at him from the "down" point of view.
As she tried to catch up, Flash woof happily. He watched as she leaped over him at the last moment so she wouldn't crash into him and landed on the other side of him, laying there for a couple of moments before moving herself onto her back, staring up at him. The scent was stronger than ever, making Flash wanted to do nothing but bent down and sniff around the region.

But he managed to control him, and flopped down next to her, wiggling himself until he was side by side with her, before reach over and giving her muzzle a lick, wondering if she would flinch away.
Flash's peck on the muzzle left Osprey with a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. Over the years she had received numerous gestures of affection, yet this little, seemingly unremarkable thing felt very different. There was desire, the sense of being wanted. For a brief moment she realized that all of this was her imagination's doing, that she probably was seeing things that she wanted to see, that it was instinct and the season that made her mind foggy. That she should draw away and run for the hills before it was too late. But then she remembered, how it had felt to be rejected at the plateau, how there - for no apparent reason - she had not been wanted - not like this anyway, how there were so many rules to follow, how restricted she was for most part of her lif. It was this that finally brought peace between the rational reasoning and the instinct. This fling was not meant to last, but she would get to enjoy it at least.

Therefore she lifted her head a little and caressed the underside of his jaw and neck, putting all of the love and care she had in those touches. She didn't resist the spell anymore, she let it take over her completely.

ooc: would you mind, if I made this thread private?
Sure, make it private. I don't mind at all. And I have no idea where this thread is going. But this is hella fun (and kinda awkward) to reply to

She didn't move, but she didn't run away either. Flash didn't even know which one was better right now. But caught in the moment, his brain told him the latter. The feeling he was getting was fuzzy, but satisfying. And between his thighs, his could feel his...private areas... tingling. Whenever that was good or bad, he had no idea. Well, he might as well go with to flow and decide it was good.

A moan escaped his lips as she began to caress his maw and the undersides of his neck. But Flash accepted the touches and the feelings. And for a moment, it felt so...natural. Was this what his father had gone through every time the same scent had aroused around his mother? (ooc: I regret not teaching him about the birds and the bees) He nudged his head into the side of her neck, gently rubbing it as he wiggles closer to her.
ooc: that's the fun thing about it - you never know, which way the thread will go.

Regarding experience, even though this was Osprey's second heat, apart from the changes in behaviour and the fact that she knew afterwards that she was not entirely herself during this time, everything else was novel for her too. Of course, March Owl made sure that her daughters had early education on, how boys differ from girls and what happens, when the two get together, and it was no mystery to her, how children "were made". Yet in terms of actually doing something - she was just as a blank page as Flash was.

The season for her, however, was not about venturing away from her pack with a set idea of getting pregnant. She followed her instincts, which told her, what to do, revealing only one step at a time. The instructions weren't blunt or straightforward, they gave her options and she could decide, what to do about them. As in this case - she had subconciously been desperate for being liked and loved and this was, what she got now. She didn't flinch away from Flash, him being even nearer to her was met with appreciation. She smiled fondly at him and rolled to lie on her belly. She reached out to plant several tender kisses on his forehead and then she gently pressed her cheek against his.
Ah, Flash, you are a little idiot

Never did she move away, or showed sighs of uncomfort. Confused and dazed, Flash snuggled closer, bring back memories of the young. Scents of his mother floated back at him, and a flash back came to him. He remembered wanting to ask his father if he could take a break for the day, creeping along the scent trail hoping he would praise Flash for being able to track him when he came across his father and mother in some weird embrace. Falcon's forelimbs were wrapped around Star's waist, their fur touching. Some sort of hug a female needed?

Nevertheless, his mother had seemed to be enjoying it, he wondered if that was what he was supposed to do. (ooc: you finally figured out the obvious, idiot), He stood up and moved back, until he was directly behind her. The scent was the strongest there, and he couldn't help but lean forward, sniffing at the scent. He used his muzzle to lightly push her tail out of the way, before poking at the spot on her. That was the cause of the scent. His privates tingled as he took a good sniff, wondering if she would find it offensive.
Osprey hadn't followed MO around, when her mother had had the "special days" - either because she was not affected by the scent or had been too busy in going on frequent tracking journeys with her comrade Three-legged Pete. So, where Flash had some sort of knowledge to reflect on, she had none. A totally blank page.

Therefore his moving away and sniffing at the other end was a cause for a bit of surprise, she turned her head so to look back at him in question, then got to her feet quickly, to stand and face him, and gave a quick and playful nibble at his nose. She looked him with bright eyes, tail wagging. She was curious and giddy at the same time.
Maybe one or two more rounds?

Flash felt her move away from his touch, and disappointment rushed through him. Did she not like it? But as she turned around and nibbled at his nose, he smiled again. "I still don't know your name..." He trailed off, before leaping at her and pinning her down, giving her a lick on the face. He left a trail of kisses from the side of her jaw and trail down, leaving kisses under her maw and down her neck.

He moved down, continue leaving kissed down her stomach, before he got the the same spot again. Flash sniffed at it, the scent intoxicating his mind again. He bent down, glancing at the female before nosing it again. It was quite moist and before he knew it a tongue had extended and he found himself drawing it over the spot. Liquid clung to his tongue as he stuck it back in his mouth, tasting it. Weird taste, really.
ooc: I am a bit caught up with work, therefore I would like to narrow down the number of threads I have at the moment. Maybe you can fade out in your next post without getting in too many details? I will fade it out, since the plot has moved on quite a lot.

Him leaping at her and pinning her down to the ground was an unexpected move, but with a pleasant outcome. Part of Osprey wanted to make a struggle a bit, before letting him dominate over her, but then again her mind was cloudy and all of the soft and tender kisses she received didn't help much to make it any clearer. She was caught up in the moment and therefore the last remnants of her rational mind were blown far away, leaving her be right here, right now.

She didn't flinch or shy away from Flash's touch this time. She stood motionless with her tail turned to the side waiting. The instinct and reflexes were as old as the wolf-kind itself. When the timing was right, you didn't have to think about, which was the right way to do it. You just did.

It would be only several weeks later, when she would understand the consequences of this one brief moment of lust and love. For now she had found salvation from the loneliness that had been her constant companion for such a long time. She felt happy, admired, liked, not rejected and for this - at this very moment - she was willing to trade everything she had.
