Anyone wanting to do a hunt. :)

Grimm journeyed further south that day, to remind herself that Redhawk Caldera was not the be all and end all of the universe. She had gone right back to being the homebody she had sought to leave behind, and was rather disappointed in her own inability to change.

But she didn't get far. No more than an hour's journey south, nestled among rolling hills, was a forest of darkness and acorns. It reminded her of home. And it had boars.

Grimm returned to the Caldera as fast as her feet would take her, white hind leg flashing as she ran. She reached the southern edge of the Caldera with about six breaths left in her body, and wildly scanned the mountainside for pack-mates on the prowl in hopes that she would not have to scale the mountain or put her nose to work. With the assistance of one or even two wolves, she would bring home bacon.
Silverfeather, new to these lands, had barley met any of her pack mates. Today she paced the borders, eager for something to do. To her pleasure, she was much bigger then she had been last winter, and could now lope instead of leap through the thick white.

Heavy panting drew her from her thoughts, and her eyes met a pack mate, panting from exertion. Her eyes widened. "Are you alright? Did something happen?" She closed the distance between them, gaze traveling up and down the mostly white female. "I'm Silver, by the way. Short for Silverfeather"
Mostly black! :) Is it OK to forward-date this a little bit? Some serious stuff happened that I'd like to make reference to.

Bingo - pack-mate. And one whose one true love Grimm hadn't defiled, which was a nice bonus. The returning wolf increased her speed, covering the remaining distance at a sprint. Her new friend (hopefully) loped to meet her, wearing concerned look on her face.

"Don't worry!" Grimm wheezed when the two wolves halted in front of each other, catching her breath in several big gulps. When her capacity for speech returned, she relayed the news. "There are hogs out there, and I want to catch one -- Silver. Hi. Grimm. Want to hunt some bacon with me? Please?" The black creature eyed her compatriot hopefully, mouth agape and tail fanning behind her.
