@Fitzdutiful But AW!
Copper was strolling around the inner pack borders. While the others patrolled the outer regions. He would hold the fort where most of the dens where located. This would be good if he hoped to hit warden. He knew he had competition. But, he could dominate if he really wanted to. He was wondering around, and looking in some dens. He saw most of them were without any sort of padding. Including his. he reminded himself to look for grass and other soft things.The Zeta then set off, not too far from the dens, mind you, to look for padding for everyone. Everyone wold be so proud of him. The rusty wolf slunk through the snow, careful for any predators that the pack hadn't already scared off.

He remembered a bit earlier, when he and a few pack mates had to scare off a bear. Luckily no one got really hurt.

(Some may see that as Powerplay, I can edit if anyone doesn't like that.)
After an adventurous day at the river, FitzDutiful was heading back home to his den when he noticed Copper patrolling the inner borders. Other than the pack meeting and accepting the copper coloured wolf, they hadn't really spoken. FitzDutiful hadn't been present when the bear had been chased off though he had heard about it. He was only thankful that no one had been injured for they currently had no healer. Tempest was still in training.

Deciding that rest could wait, he decided to get to know the young male instead. Approaching him he nodded and joined Copper on his patrol. "Settling in okay?" he asked. He wondered if it was strange, coming to a pack that was still so new. This pack didn't have the connections that the Redhawk Caldera had when they founded and there were some potential wild cards, but FitzDutiful did his best to have faith in his members. If he didn't trust them, who would?
"Yeah. it definitely is different." In the best ways! Copper mentally added. He wondered if it was the right time to pursue his trade. He knew he wouldn't get any trades if he was shy, but by Fitz's tired gaze, Copper realized that he might wait for the pack to settle down. He was probably very overworked, being the founder of a new pack.

Copper just dove right in. "Are you busy, friend?" Obviously you are. Copper thought. He added by looking down. The rusty Zeta wasn't one to suck up, but he had always wanted a specific trade. Cobbs' was just itching to be something greater than just a Zeta nobody.
Everyone seemed to be picking up on how tired FitzDutiful was and, in truth, FitzDutiful wasn't liking it. It was irritating that his pack members seemed to think he couldn't handle the work (or at least, he assumed that was what they were thinking). He was enjoying himself, being busy, and felt as though he was managing everything pretty well. "I've always time," he said, smiling as he did do, warmth in his words.

"Is there something particular you need, or are you just wanting to talk?" He didn't mind which it was, though of late it appeared that talking to the alpha went hand in hand with needing something from the alpha. He didn't recall whether it had been this way with Peregrine. Had he always spoken to Perry just because he needed something? He didn't think so, but maybe Perry had a different opinion. He made a mental note to ask his previous alpha - if he ever saw him again.
Copper paused.
"well, I'd just like to ask for an opinion." Copper was a bit surprised how nice Fitz was. If he had known Fitz didn't mind the work, he wouldn't bother him about it. Well, Copper wanted to ask his alpha something, and he needed to have enough trust in him to ask him a simple question.

"Well.. Copper started, taking a breath. "I'm going for gamekeeper, and-I wanted to know if you had any tips for me!" Copper finished, yelling with enthusiasm. Of course he also wanted warden. But it seemed he had competition. So he would bother Fitz with that later.
FitzDutiful picked up on the enthusiasm and couldn't help but smile. For a wolf who had first earned the counsellor's trade, all he wanted was to help others. This was the most rewarding part of his job as alpha. Copper explained that gamekeeper was his chosen trade and FitzDutiful responded immediately.

"That's a good trade to aim for. The pack needs more." He thought for a while. "Bindi is uncovering two food sources for her task. I'd like you to find one land food source and two types of edible berries." He didn't think anything of mentioning that Bindi had mentioned gamekeeper too. Although he valued diversity amongst his members, he knew the value of having duplicates after the disappearance of Ashton at the Caldera.

For now, they talked about Copper's trades a bit more before FitzDutiful headed back home.
