Many wolves were here, all howling and barking and speaking. They didn't know how lucky they were. Phantom was chasing a hare, it's snow white pelt a perfect match to her own. They darted through the snowy landscape, but the lucky hare disappeared at the base of a huge mountain. Disappointed, Phantom stopped. Suddenly, they scent of wolves was all around her, and she realized the terrible mistake she had made.

Trembling, Phantom realized she didn't know where the borders where. She trotted in one direction for a while, then switched to another. She didn't panic, however. She had been in worse.
On her usual patrol rout, the tri-colored female suddenly caught the scent of a wolf that was not their own crossing the border. Her hackles raised and her tail twitched as she picked up the scent, quickly tracking it. It seemed to halt right in the middle of a clearing and Raissa could tell it had been chasing prey, because the scent of a rabbit disappeared freshly into a hole in the mountain side. That was where the wolf seemed to realize it's mistake. Now as she tracked the scent she could smell traces of fear lingering with the trail that started to weave back and forth in a lost manner.

After a couple minutes of following the weaving trail, Raissa spotted the trespasser. She raised her hackles and her ears, her jaws parted in a low growl. She approached the she wolf until she was standing right in front of her face.

"Why are you trespassing?" she snarled at the she wolf, her tail raised in an aggressive display.
Phantom sunk to the floor in a submissive stance as soon as the first word met her ears. She gazed at the girl pleadingly, mouth opening and closing. She swatted her muzzle with her paw while shaking her head, mentally screaming at herself. Without voice, everything was so hard. She could not explain herself, tell those what she thought. But the girl had adapted to the life of a mute, but that was in her old pack, were others knew about her disability. Here, she was alone in her knowledge.
Raissa was pleased when the white-furred she wolf sunk into a submissive position as soon as she spoke, showing she meant no harm. Raissa studied her movements, the way she opened and closed her mouth and batted at her muzzle with a paw, shaking her head. Curiosity passed through her eyes as she tried to figure out what she was doing. She still held her dominant posture though it was a little bit less aggressive now that the wolf showed she wasn't going to attack.

"What, can you not talk or something?" she growled, staring at the female with fiery eyes.
The white girl looked up at her and slowly nodded her head. Phantom was at the hands of this fae now, she just hoped that she took pity on her and let her go. Thoughts, unbidden entered her mind, of a dark cave, no sun, and nightly 'visits,...she pushed them away. Not here, not now.
With this female at her mercy, she didn't entirely know what to do. Would Fitz really want her to be killed or taken hostage just because of an honest mistake? She hoped not, because she was definitely not doing either of those things.

When the fae nodded her head Raissa figured she must be mute or something like that so understanding filled her still hostile eyes. Just because she couldn't talk didn't mean she couldn't smell borders. She narrowed her eyes at the white female, a growl forming on her maw.

"Get out. Now!" she snarled at the female, her fur bristling and her tail lashing. "Now that you know we're here, you better not trespass again, or so help me you will regret it." she barked, ready to chase the she wolf all the way out of the territory to make sure she really did leave.
