Hoping for @Copper but AW

It had been a couple days since the first pack meeting and Raissa wanted to talk to Copper, specially about finding him a trade. If he found something he was really good at, it would really help him feel more comfortable in the pack. And then Bindi wouldn't be able to run her mouth any more.

She was padding around the base of the mountain, doing her usual patrols as well as searching for a trace of Copper's scent. While she was she was thinking about what he could be good at. He could be warrior, but he was pretty lightly built. But then again so was she, and that's what made her such a good fighter, no one expected it. Or he could be a gamekeeper. He was probably really fast due to his size. As she kept walking, she thought about it more and more, he could probably be good at anything he tried.
Yee! Also, BTW, is this after Copper's Breakdown?

Copper was doing whatever a conductive metal does, when he caught the scent of Raissa. She was still in heat, it seemed. But he wasn't going to let his body tell his mind what to do. He was becoming less ADHD, more cunning. Copper felt a bit proud of himself.

He didn't know what it was, but somehow, he rose up, to third in command. Maybe it was- He didn't know. The only thing he cared about, that he was ranking. The thought passed his mind that he was beating Bindi, but being in a pack wasn't a game. He didn't feel too competitive anymore, anyway.
Yeah, the timeline is a bit screwy, but this is after everything xD

Soon enough she caught scent of the young male that she had seemed to take under her wing. She felt a strange sense of pride to see him doing so well in the pack, rising in the ranks and fitting in. She wondered briefly if he had met Jensen yet. Maybe they could be friends.

She followed his scent until his russet fur came into view and she padded up to him, greeting him with a friendly shoulder bump. "You up for some excitement?" she asked happily. She was in a much better mood then she had the last time they met and hopefully this encounter would go much more smoothly. If they went perfectly, Copper would have a good idea what he wanted to do by the time they parted ways.

If you know what I'm sayin. XD, I'm so sorry.

Copper paused. That statement could go a multitude of ways. He didn't feel like that though. Raissa was more of a parental figure, than a giiirl.
"Uhh.. Sure." Copper replied, cocking his head. He didn't really put much emotion in his statement. Not in a rude way, though. He just wasn't happy, or mad either.

Copper was indeed feeling welcome, he realized, with the warmer parts of winter approaching, his winter pelt had yet to come off. Maybe it was nothing, or maybe the pack was adapting faster than he thought.
haha I was hoping for that kind of reaction xD

Raissa chuckled at his slightly bewildered expression. She was the kind of person that didn't really think about what she was saying before it came out of her mouth. Now after hearing it out loud, she realized what that must have sounded like. Combined with her happy demeanor, it must have seemed like a very forward statement.

"Alrighty then, don't frown like that because we're gonna find you a trade!" she responded her eyes bright and her tail wagging. Not only would this help him figure out what he wanted to do, but it would help her with her trade as well. Killing two birds with one stone.
"Oh. Okay! Copper was a bit surprised at how anticlimactic her response was. He chuckled along with Raissa. She was so nice to him. He was beginning to feel okay as a whole, but this wolf made him feel safe. He was happy she was making an effort to help him. He did have some trades in mind, but he couldn't put a name to a duty. His tail began to wag. As long as he didn't run into Bindi along the way, this would be fun! Maybe the dark wolfess deserved one more chance. Raissa gave him a second chance. But, he didn't blatently challenge his ideals, and physically hurt him. suddenly he reminded himself of his wound. He winced, and shot a quick glance at his already healing shoulder.
She didn't notice he was injured so she just smiled when he realized what she was talking about. He definitely seemed like he was doing better then the last time they met. He seemed a lot happier, more open. She continued walking along the border markings, motioning for him to join her.

"So, do you have anything in mind so far?" she asked, interested to hear if he had any plans already. If he did, she was more then happy to help him achieve his goal, and if he didn't, she would help him find something he wanted to do.
The russet wolf paused when Raissa mentioned trades. He wondered if she felt like he was weak because of his answer during the pack meeting. He had forgotten any trades Fitz had offered during the first pack meeting. None of them appealed to him.
"I don't really know?" Copper said, nervously laughing. He suddenly felt an urgency to go for a 'trade.' He was still fuzzy on the responsibility of a trade, either.

But, Copper was almost sure it wasn't anything too serious. He just hoped he passed the requirements of being in said trade though. If there were any.
He looked nervous when he said he didn't know, like he thought she would judge him. He didn't have to worry about seeming weak or unexperienced, because she herself didn't even have a trade.

Maybe if there was something he was already doing, such as patrolling the borders or filling caches or even studying the stars, they could turn that into a trade for him. "That's totally fine, we just have to find something you like to do." she assured him with a kind smile.
"Oh. All right!" Copper replied. This She-wolf, with her welcoming southern accent, and her overall kindness, it made it impossible not to smile. He still didn't know what he was going to tell her though. He didn't have time for interest in specific things. Well, back when he was a loner, anyway. But still, with the needed effort of supporting the infant pack, he still didn't have time for singular interests.

Copper didn't want to be a burden. But he wanted to be part of something more, as well.
"So, what trades are you going for?" Copper asked. He would need a little push to find him a hobby.
Raissa gave him a warm smile as agreed. A trade wasn't something you picked really, it was something you became. And once you figured it out, you just worked to make yourself better at it. He would find what he was good at in his own time, and for now, he could try out as many things as he wanted.

"Well, my main trade I'm hoping to get is warrior. I'd also like to get warden and eventually, when I have pups, caretaker." she explained happily. "In fact, I was wondering if you would like to try sparring with me?" she suggested. Sparring was one of her favorite activities. Not only was it fun and good exercise, but it provided plenty of opportunities to practice your skills.
I have no idea how to spar.. referring to the guidebook..

Copper liked sparring as much as the next guy, but in the two weeks he had been helping the pack, he hadn't had time to deal with other wolves. But, a friendly spar would be good practice, just in case a wolf game by with bad intentions.

A light shone in copper then. A light his pack mates had doused. The competitive spirit. Copper's tail began waggling with excitement. The force of each swing shook his entire body.
"Sure! I'd love to." Copper was a bit nervous the wolf would hold back on him. He just hoped her gentle nature, and kindness didn't spread over into how she battled.
This thread is for sparring :) Also I wont be on for a bit, so you don't have to post anything until I can send you a pm explaining things :D

Raissa's face broke into a toothy grin as he agreed, his tail wagging happily. Friendly sparring was the best, and she felt she needed to let some energy out, because she was just about ready to bounce all over the place.

She started down the slope of the hill they were on and came to a clearing, soft grass cushioning the ground. It would be a perfect place for a quick spar. She carefully set about to pick up any sharp rocks and sticks that lined the hollow, not wanting to accidently trip on one or cut yourself. Once that was done, she turned to Copper, her tail wagging and a big smile on her face.

"Ready?" It was a rhetorical question, because she lowered into a crouch and waited for him to mirror her actions. Let the games begin.
Sorry for the short post. When are you going to Pm me, though?
Copper stepped up to the tri-colored female, and jumped down, his hindquarters high into the air. He hadn't sparred for a while, and he was ready for the extra practice. A crooked grin spread across Ccopper's face. He didn't think he had anything to worry about. This wolf was probably going to give it her all.
I'm just going to end this since you are going to be gone for a while :)

Raissa had to admit, he was a good fighter and he was hard to beat. The spar was fun and by the time it was over she was grinning. It had been too long since she had last sparred and it made her heart race. She sat down with a huff, her eyes sparkling happily.

"Wow. You're a good fighter. You should think about becoming a warrior." she said honestly, her eyes bright.

After she caught her breath, she got off her butt and shook the dust out of her long fur before looking at him again. "If you ever want to spree again, I'd be happy too." she told him with a smile, waving her tail before she padded off, to find some water and maybe a snack.
