For- Jace Faolan (Tag doesn't work)

Yet another male has joined Silvertip, and the ranks continued to be filed up. Bindi is especially pleased by this, since it means more members to work together in the hunts. She wanted to know each member of the pack, after al they were her family. The midnight wolfess had just returned from another adventure to try and find Whitewater Gorge, when she realized she needed to meet the new guy.

She wanted to meet him for two very important reasons. One, just to greet and get an idea if she will like him or not. Two, to see if he will prove useful when hunting. The obsidian female wanted to know his experience when hunting, his stealthiness, and so much more. Even though she set out to official meet him, Bindi realized this greeting might become an interview, and decided she would hold off on the hunting questions.

With her nose low to the ground, she searched for the male, hoping he was close by, that way she could rest her tired legs.
Jace was nervous, after a long, painful year he had joined another pack. Fitz seemed nice and that went a long way, but it still made Jace nervous to be around other wolves after so long by himself. Jace knew that he was going to have to meet his new packmates sooner or later so he lowered his nose to the ground and tried to place scents with names.

Jace immediately picked up Fitz's scent, since he had it already it was the easiest to identify. There was also a large male and a smaller male, that must be Jensen and Copper. Jace also picked up, after some prolonged sniffing, 3 female scents and one of them was in heat! "It's been a long time since I've had that scent in my nose" thought Jace as he shook his head, trying to get the smell out of his head. The other two would be Bindi and Tempest.

Jace decided he would meet Bindi first as hers was the closest scent. Nervously, he set off in pursuit of the female hoping that he could make a life here and that he would be accepted.
The male was decently close, but Bindi was done tracking him, as her legs grew shaky from walking. She had been up and searching for Whitewater Gorge for hours, and the midnight wolfess was tired. Deciding to take a nap before another hunt, the obsidian female lay beside a tree, enjoying the cold breeze that blew through her dark fur. She was still close to the boarders, but she was comfortable beside the tree and didn't feel like moving out of possible danger.

Closing her eyes, a breeze went by and Bindi could tell the male was coming closer toward her. Figuring out that the male was probably tracking her the midnight wolfess kept her eyes closed, and waited for the male to come find her.
Jace could see the female Bindi now, lying under a tree resting. Seeing Bindi increased how nervous Jace was, at least she was asleep or at least looked like she was. Jace took a moment to quiet his inner turmoil and finally padded up next to Bindi and sat under the tree a moment.

Now that he was close he could make out details he hadn't noticed before. Her coat was like darkest night, if she had flecks of white in it, it would exactly like a star riddled night sky. There was a small scar on her muzzle from some past injury, possibly from a fight from prey or wolf Jace couldn't tell. In Jace's last pack rank was shown by staining the right forepaw, obviously this pack didn't have that tradition and so Jace couldn't tell what rank Bindi was. It didn't really matter anyway, Jace was the new wolf on the mountainside, he was below everyone. With a pang, Jace realized Bindi reminded him of his mother, physically.

Jace supposed he had better say something, "Hey there.". Jace hoped that he hadn't woken her
The midnight wolfess could tell he was approaching her, since his scent kept getting stronger. However she didn't think he would just sit under the tree where she was, from it seems, napping. She could feel his gaze on her, and it made her feel awkward, but honestly she didn't mind. When he spoke, she smiled, probably looking really creepy, but she didn't care.

Keeping her eyes closed she answered the male "hello", she said calmly and with a gentle tone. Slowly she opened her eyes to get a look at the male, and was amazed by the fact that his eye's were like Jensen's. Exept this males eye's were green and an amber color, both very beautiful. "Cool eyes" she said and began to stand, even though she was extremely tired.
"Thanks", Jace said shyly as he turned his head and smiled. No one had ever told him they were cool before. This pack was turning out to be the best decision he had ever made.

Jace breathed deep, adding Bindi's scent to his memory. She had a good smell too, there were the mountain scents on her of course, but she also smelled like a warrior. Jace anticipated being able to test his skills against hers someday.

Jace turned his eyes back on Bindi, "Shall we hunt? I'm starving!" Jace almost couldn't remember he'd had a decently sized meal. Not since being alone anyway.
When the male spoke of a hunt, it through the midnight wolfess a little off. She didn't even know this strangers name, and already he wanted to hunt. She could tell by scent that he was a Silvertip wolf, but she thought at least some kind of introduction would come before a hunt. However Bindi didn't refuse his offer, but instead gave a nod of her head in agreement.

If the obsidian wolfess could try and locate the foxes her and Raissa hunted, but instead she caught onto a bunch of different smells. Hares, squirrels, and a different type of scent she was not use to. "Ok we can hunt rabbit, squirrel, or mystery animal" she said looking at the male, letting him decide what they would eat today.
Jace fidgeted nervously for a moment, "It's ok," Jace thought, "keep it together.". Jace sniffed around, he'd had hare and squirrel before both of which were really good, albeit a little small. Jace's stomach growled loudly, Jace shuffled his paws in the snow trying to cover the sound "Well that decides it, a squirrel or hare just won't cut it right now."

"How about that mystery animal? That sounds like a good place to start this morning." Jace smiled what he hoped was a confident smile. He really hoped that he could impress his fellow packmate with his hunting abilities, she seemed really confident of her own and probably for good reason.

Jace began sniffing the ground again, taking a moment to focus solely on the mystery animal scent and pushing other scents from his mind. Once Jace got the scent firmly held in his mind he smiled, flexing his wiry limbs. He was enjoying the hunt already, a good sign. He stopped for a moment, "Oh, my name's Jace by the way. Sorry I didn't introduce myself earlier, I got caught up in my hunger." Jace hoped that the female wouldn't mind his rudeness, he dropped his tail slightly for good measure. Jace hated that he wasn't very confident in himself, "Just another side effect of my curse." he growled to himself.
While Jace was talking the midnight wolfess tried to identify the strange scent, but just couldn't remember ever smelling it before. She smiled at him when he decided the mystery animal would be the one they would hunt. She wanted to know exactly what animal this strange scent belonged to, as it could be another source of food. "Mystery animal it is then" she said and began to follow the scent but stopped when the male began talking again.

He introduced his name and the the obsidian female offered him a nod of her head. "Nice to meet you Jace, i'm Bindi, gamma of Silvertip" she said with a smile announcing her name and rank. She liked being the second highest rank, it was were she felt most relaxed. At the second highest rank she felt like she proved her worth, but didn't have the full weight of the pack on her shoulders like Fitz did. The midnight wolfess still was amazed on how the pale alpha was able to bring a pack together.

Turning her attention back to Jace, she glanced up at the dark male, before lowing her head to track the strange scent. Her pace quickened into a jog, and eventually she found herself heading toward the peak of the mountain. The scent got stronger with every step and suddenly the mystery animal appeared before her. A sheep looking creature, with horns on it's head. Sizing up the animal it would certainly be a good meal for her and Jace, and she prayed they would be successful in their hunt.

She looked over to her hunting partner, and decided she would find out just how experienced he is in hunting. "Alright, do you have any ideas on how to take the animal down" she asked, golden eyes fixed on the male's green and amber colored eyes. If he didn't have a attack strategy, Bindi could easily make one up in her mind, but for now she gave the male his chance to prove his worth.
This hunt something we need to roll for or we just going to play it out? Bindi's awesome ;)

Jace examined the creature a moment longer, running a few scenarios in his mind. Those horns looked dangerous and they looked like the creature knew how to use them, Jace smiled. "This is going to be cake.", he thought, he turned his unique eyes back to Bindi, "We both come in and cut off it's escape, it'll probably try to fight back with those horns it's got. We dance around it until one of us has a good line of attack open and then we take it." Jace thought it was a good plan and he couldn't wait to sink his teeth into the soft flesh of it's neck. Jace could feel the adrenaline pumping through his body already and he hadn't even started the attack yet.

Jace looked at the area around the sheep creature, making extra sure that his plan could be pulled off. The sheep creature was eating in a small hollow with a sheer cliff face to the wolves right and extremely thick brush to the left. The only two avenues of escape were where the wolves were going to storm the creature and the opposite side of the hollow. "I sure hope that thing has some fight in it or we could be chasing that thing over most of the mountainside." Jace grimaced, hoping and praying that this would turn out to be successful
Thanks:) I rolled here and it was a success!

His planned seemed to work in her mind, so she gave a nod of agreement before separating away. She hoped he could read body language, because that was the language when hunting. She watched Jace and looked for a nod, signaling he was ready to hunt. Once she received her nod, the midnight wolfess would spring from her hiding spot and sink her fangs into the creature. She already had a feeling this was going to be a good hunt, and couldn't wait to enjoy this meal.
Jace watched Bindi move into position a moment, excited and pleased that the ebony female felt like his plan was a good one. Jace brought his attention back to the task at hand, knowing that it was going to take both wolves working together to take the sheep and he couldn't afford being pleased with himself for just having the plan. Now was when he would need to show off his true skill in the hunt.

Jace moved as quietly as he could to his right, keeping Bindi in sight at all times. The sheep lifted it's head in Jace's direction, Jace paused until the sheep resumed eating. Jace glanced at Bindi and noticed she was waiting for his cue to start, "Alright," Jace thought, "now time to kick some prey ass!" Jace nodded at Bindi, then moved in for the attack.

The sheeps head jerked up as Jace came snarling into the hollow. Jace anticipated the sheep using it's horns to tear into him, what he didn't anticipate was the creature turning around and lashing out with it's hind legs. Jace ducked low, just missing a hoof to the head and lunged back up grasping the creatures thigh firmly in his jaws. Jace savored the warm blood in his mouth for only a moment before shaking his head, savagely trying to bring the sheep down to it's side.
Bindi watched as she received her nod and Jace leapt forward. The dark male dodged a deadly blow from the sheep like creature, and Bindi took the chance to charge at the animal. While Jace's teeth connected with the animal's thigh, it turned its head trying to use its horns to shove Jace off. A fatal mistake. Bindi used the oppertunity to sink her teeth into the animal's throat, and immediately she began to pull the animal to the ground.

The sheep looking creature was bucking, and trying its hardest to get away, but it had no luck. After a minute of struggling, the animal finally gave up and accepted death. Bindi no longer felt the animal's pulse in her mouth, and she realized the throat. She looked at Jace and gave him a smile. The midnight wolfess was sure he would prove useful, and was glad he got accepted into the pack.
This seems to be winding down, didn't know how long you wanted it to go? Still new to this whole experience lol.

Jace was panting slightly from the fight with the sheep thing, but he felt so alive like he always did after a successful hunt. Jace saw Bindi giving him a smile, which Jace returned, "That was a great hunt Bindi, I'm glad I'm a part of your pack. If there's anything you need me to do just let me know." Jace was anxious to get eating, he was still starving and the energy they had expended in getting the food hadn't helped.

Jace looked at the sheep for a moment, "You know, there's probably enough here to take back to one of the pack's caches," Jace gave Bindi a sly smile, "once we've eaten as much as we can of course."
Yea lets wrap this one up, last post from me!

Bindi watched as her packmate returned her smile, and she got to eating. The sheep creature would definitely be a good meal for the both of them, and there would still be plenty left. The midnight wolfess dove into one of the creature's hind legs, and her muzzle quickly became stained with blood. After she was satisfied, Bindi licked her muzzle clean, and waited till Jace would finish. "I will take it to a cache once your finished" she said and patiently waited for him to finish.

Once her packmate was done with his meal, Bindi drug the carcass away to the closest cache, to be stored for later.
