@Redwood, warden thread :)

Koda was close to completing a complete circuit of the plateau's borders. It'd been an uneventful patrol, with nothing to report. There was just one little thing he needed to take care of before he could retire to his den for a nap.

He needed to pee, really really bad. He sniffed around a decaying stump that had once been used as a marking post by the Alpha. The scent was old, the post long neglected. Surely no one would mind if he remarked it himself. He'd always wanted to know how it'd feel to be Alpha dog, now was his chance.

After making sure the coast was clear, Koda raised his leg and relieved himself all over the stump. "Ahhhh," he sighed contentedly as his bladder drained its contents. He'd been holding it in for quite a while.
Redwood was walking around the outskirts of the plateau, his eyes fixed over in the distance. He was thinking of joining a Pack for the first time in his life. He was trying to have a taste of every Pack. Crëyr was the first on the list. She was very kind, but he was afraid that he had given her a fright when he lashed out on himself. The tiny claw marks still plastered on his face. There was the Black Feather woods, but he wasn't to keen to be there. Now this one. This time he stayed a little ways out of the territory, walking closer and closer as he became more comfortable. But he wouldn't cross the border. He didn't want to stir up trouble. He took a little walk to circle the border, than stopped when he saw another wolf doing his business. Talk about the wrong time. He called over from a safe distance away from the border, "Hello!"
Koda was just about to finish when a voice called out to him in greeting. The dog flinched in surprise, causing a few drops of pee to sprinkle his foot. 'Of course, now someone has to show up,' he grumbled to himself.

His business concluded, he turned to face the stranger. Koda studied the male, sizing him up as if he were a potential opponent. The wolf was tall, but a bit on the lean side and he looked a little run down. 'I could take him,' he said to himself. But the stranger didn't appear to be looking to start trouble. Koda guessed he was a lone wolf, perhaps looking to join the pack. For this reason, he would try to be polite. "Can I help you with something, stranger?"
He backed up a bit, trying to give him some space. He did just caught him doing his business after all. If anyone saw the boy doing his privacy, he would be pretty angry. "Er... sorry about that. I was just trying to pass through. Nothing to be worried about." He did want 3to just travel on the outskirts, making sure not to wander in. But guess that wasn't good enough.
The stranger backpedaled, and apologized. Koda was puzzled. He'd been nothing but polite, why did this lone wolf seem so uncomfortable around him? Then, a thought occurred to him.

'Wait a minute, did he see my junk?' He felt disgusted, violated. He glanced around fearfully, hoping no one had witnessed the awkward encounter. As far as he could see, he and the stranger were alone.

Suddenly, Koda couldn't wait to be rid of this wolf and forget the whole thing. He slicked his ears back and raised his tail high. "Get out of here, and don't let me catch you slinking around ever again."
{Erg. I'm trying to get used to the new WOLF. It is pretty nice though :)

  The boy didn't want to get into a fight. There was no use. But he didn't want to leave quite yet. He knew this wolf would be at least slightly embarrassed and he didn't really want him to feel that way."It's alright bud, no need to be that way. I'll go." He sat down on his rump and nibbled on his tail. He did have bad habits. "But before I go, I would like to ask you something. I've been in search of a Pack. I'm not joining any yet. Have any ideas?" He lifted his head to face the broad wolf.
The red wolf remained calm in the face of Koda's aggression, and instead of leaving asked him a question. Koda bristled, irritated by the stranger's lack of compliance to his demand. 'Hmph, maybe if I answer him, he'll leave,' he said to himself.

"I can't tell you much about the other packs," said Koda. Since coming to Teekon, the plateau had been the only pack he'd ever known. The stranger was smart for trying to learn more about the packs before making a commitment. Koda was feeling more and more like his decision to join the plateau had been the wrong choice for him. He should have declined Peregrine's offer that day at the river and joined a pack that didn't tolerate sissies and fags.

"But if you don't mind putting up with a bunch of spoiled brats and taking orders from women, you'll do fine here," he said, revealing for the first time his true feelings about the pack. It felt good to be able to finally say it out loud, even to a total stranger.
  When he told him about the ladies, he just wanted to snort in irritation. He hated to be bossed around and told what to do. Another reason why he was skeptical about being in a Pack. But hey, that's what it was all about right? Though he wouldn't want to be pushed around by a girl. He had respect for them, but when push came to shove, he wanted to be his own boss.

  "Thanks for helping me. I should be going now. There's plenty to do." With those words, he turned and started to walk off. "Take care!" he called behind him.
not enough rounds to count :P ah well, better wrap it up anyways

Koda watched the stranger trot away into the wilderness before he turned and started back into the interior of the plateau. As he walked, he heard Dante's call summoning him for a meet. "Wonder what he wants," Koda grumbled as he slipped through the trees.
