I would be really interested in any of the new sirens popping in. Or maybe @Kevlyn ?? :D

The titanic sequoia forest felt more like home with every day that the flaming amazon spent training within it. She had secluded herself from the rest of the sisters since her return to the sound, she wanted to feel more like Aella again before going back to her duties as warden and warrior of the Sound. But she couldn't ignore her own existence much longer. She had started feeling left aside by her packmates (even though she was the one avoiding them) and she knew that the pack was in a time of trouble with other packs. The pack needed her, that was her specialty , so she decided to break the shell she'd been cloistering in for so long and face the world once again.

Aella cared little about the "siren queen" Caiaphas, so she would probably be the last one to see her again, but there had been an increase in the pack's numbers lately and the Amazon was curious to know what the tides had brought to the Ankyrian shore.

The heavens had been crying long before Aella decided to leave her den in the depths of the forest, a light rain that felt like tiny stings on the skin, and the sky was unnaturally dark, probably not a good omen, so the siren moved cautiously out of the titanic woods. The beach was where the pack usually gathered, a sanctuary for the Nereides, so the flaming amazon hoped to find someone there. She moved a bit faster, trekking her way down the cliffs to sea level. She was in better shape now, having regained her strength through hard work and patience -not to mention the invigorating proximity to mother sea- so she was eager to offer her help in the conflict with the Glacier.

Leucothoë had been here for a couple of days, now. Feeling more comfortable, the seaborn youth moved to cleanse herself in the Sea. She did not hesitate upon entering the water, even despite the cold bite the waters assailed her with. It had been so long since she had allowed herself this, knowing that I'm the Winter her time to submerge herself fully in the waters was dangerous. Mother Sea was gracious, and giving; but she, as all women of the Sea, had no tolerance for those without a mind. As Leucothoë pulled her head upward, she felt a thick tangle of seaweed catch over her shoulder-blades.

She exited the waters and the greenery remained. Leucothoë kept herself pristinely clean, but she would never remove the gifts The Mother gave to her. She collected them and saved them. This was the first from the Sound, and it made her feel welcome. A blessing. The girl knew then that their path was one approved of by The Mother Herself, and she was content. Leucothoë lay on the sands warmer than the waters to dry, beginning to preen at her forelegs so that her furs would settle properly.
Never one to stray too far from her doppelgänger, Nesaea lurked just out of sight of Leucothoe, exploring the rocks at the base of one of the cliff faces of the Sound. She was becoming less and less tense as she spent more time within this new place, finding herself actually beginning to like it. She was still unsure of the Matriarch and the other sirens — not to mention the consorts — but if it was her mother's wish, she would try her best to please them.

After overturning her fair share of rocks and discovering a collection of oddities (that she had piled together to fetch and store somewhere later), the girl headed back along the shoreline to her sister, who had just emerged from the ocean with a gift draped along her shoulders. Nesaea quietly came up beside Leucothoe as she cleaned herself, studying the seaweed for a moment before drawing her tongue over the back of the other girl's ears, settling the sodden fur there. A movement caught her eye and gave her pause, though, and the youth looked up, focusing on a vibrant figure that was making its way down the cliffs.

The way down was more difficult than expected, the wet rocks made a slippery and dangerous slide that the amazon had to be extremely cautious to walk on, and the sharp rocks found along the path would easily crash one's skull in the event of an unwanted slide off. But she made it down, safely enough to keep that radiant smile on her face with which she had awaken that morning.

The seas blessed her with exactly the thing she was looking for, the presence of two of the new members of the pack, two grey, light-framed females, one of them covered by seaweed. Aella didn't know their origins, and she was oblivious about their relationship to Aktaie and Psamathe, so she approached them as if they were just completely normal newcomers.

"I see that mother sea has blessed you with a gift." The siren said airily to the one covered with seaweed, and to both of them she smiled welcoming. "You should keep it... Save it like a treasure."

Leucothoë turned her head, first noting the approach of her sister who had been closer to her than Aella at the moment. Her plume beat the sandy earth in slow, rhythmic thumps and as Nesaea moves to fix the unreachable furs behind her ear, Leucothoë finds her neck stretching some to invite more of the grooming. The sun was warm and the waves were peaceful; it was a good day.

One eye opened as she heard some scree fall–the only commotion to come from Aella's approach–and she noted a fiery woman head toward them. Leucothoë had noted her smell on the borders but had not seen her, ever. She was glad to see her now, and hoisted herself to a seated position, the seaweed draping in a manner that looked luxurious around her shoulders. There was something very distinct about Aella that reminded her of home–Themiscrya–and she wondered if this was one of the wolves Aktaie had brought with her. But her mother had told her assuming things was unbecoming.

The woman bore the same philosophy as Leucothoë and her own sister did, and she nodded slowly and respectfully to the woman who had at last approached them. Her ears flattened in a submissive way, letting the other know Leucothoë knew her place well. She had much to learn of this place, but she felt an ambitious burn in her gut. Leucothoë did not hesitate in her own response to the beautiful woman before her, speaking in Greek as she always would first and foremost out of habit alone. Yes, of course... and the hint of pride in her voice could not be missed, for she was proud of the gift the Mother had brought to her. I am Leucothoë, and this is my sister-- she paused here, leaving room for her sister to finish with her name, unwilling to speak for her knowing that Nesaea, although shy, was eloquent and well-spoken.
As the bright figure continued to pick her way down the cliffs, Nesaea eyed her off suspiciously. Of course, she didn't doubt the stranger didn't belong to the Sound; it was a difficult place to get to and, should one manage to enter, they would be found almost instantly. What would happen to a trespasser Nesaea hadn't a clue, though she knew it would not be pleasant.

As the woman strode towards them with a cordial smile, Nesaea followed her sister's lead and sat upright beside her, becoming an almost mirror-image — albeit, without the seaweed. She returned a small smile as the foreigner greeted them, speaking first to Leucothoe before setting them both within her golden gaze. She had a dazzling coat, the likes of which Nesaea had never seen before, along with a trim build that gave the younger girl a suspicion that perhaps she was an Amazon — one of the more physical beings among the Sirens.

She mentally chuckled at the woman's suggestion of keeping the gift, but made no indication outwardly except for a slight flick of her tail. The very thought of Leucothoe simply tossing away such a valuable offering from the Mother made Nesaea reel. As her sister spoke, agreeing to the Amazon's words as anticipated, the girl dipped her head respectfully as she was introduced. "Nesaea," she said simply.

It was a surprise to the Amazon hearing the females' names, both of them indisputably rooted in her own culture. She knew immediately that the twins were Sirens from Temiscyra Coast, and she felt like her heart was a bit fuller and a bit less nostalgic.

"Where do you two come from? Did someone else come with you?" she asked excitedly. The sprites' age suggested that they were just Neophytes in their culture, which meant they wouldn't be travelling alone, not from so far. It was exciting to have another little piece of home in the Sound, and it made Aella's tail to sway back and forth gleefully behind her.

Empathetic, Leucothoë could practically feel the buzz from Aella. Or, perhaps it was the excitement in her voice... either way, Leucothoë could tell that this cinnamon stranger was pleased. Well, who would not be pleased with us? Leucothoë was arrogant to a fault. Thinking she and her sister were as excellent as they were meant that naturally, others would hold them in high esteem. It was something the two worked for. Perfection was not beyond their reach.

The others question caused her head to tilt. Themiscrya, she responds, and, at her question, My mother, and another our age. A sister. Leucothoë did not want to assume the other, too, was from Themiscrya, but she knew for certain given her understanding of the tongue that she was certainly one of them. ...Who are you? she asks, curious now. She looks to her sister, and back to Aella again.
Strangely, the woman's voice took on an excited tone, throwing questions their way and Nesaea's suspicions peaked again. She couldn't help but be the slightly more paranoid of the two, an ever skittish and wary siren. Though her fears quelled slightly, as she realised that, with the understanding of their language, perhaps this stranger came from another branch of the Nereides — even Themiscrya itself.

Ears pricking forward with renewed interest, the girl glanced at Leucothoe as she answered the Amazon's questions. And another our age. "Minthe and Callantha," she offered, just in case the red-haired woman would encounter them; it was only proper she address them by their name. Especially in their mother's case, though Callantha probably couldn't care less with formalities. Her sister shot back a question of her own, and Nesaea exchanged glances with her, before focusing back on the curious female.

The words spoken by the sprites were the best news Aella had gotten since she arrived to Ankyra Sound for the first time. In her arrogant opinion, it had all spiraled down from the moment Aktaie had left them, but now, with the arrival of true daughters of Temiscyra, it all looked brighter to the Amazon.

"Oh, I'm so glad you found us!" The female said excitedly, "I'm Aella, I was one of Aktaie's Acolytes when she came here for the first time. I was starting to think that Temiscyra had forgotten us..." She knew that Minthe was Aktaie's mother, and that she was a high priestess back in the mother coast, which only meant that she had come to put things in order, something Aella had been wanting to do for a long time.
