Open for anyone! Perhaps someone Mordecai hasn't met, even? :)

The days were beginning to stretch out longer and longer, but nightfall still came readily. Mordecai knew there would come a time when even now, the darkness would be creased near the horizon with just a sliver of twilight. It wasn't too after past that now, he was willing to believe, though the stars had emerged from for their nightly display across the dark sky. He had climbed to one of the higher reaches within the plateau, only to find himself a nice perch.

It wasn't a cold night by any means, but rather pleasant, as the tail end of winter was beginning to give way to the possibility of spring. And it was a clear night, one prime for a little stargazing by a particular canine that could not remember all of the constellations, let alone the stories behind them. That was something his father had managed to recall, something he had listened to as a child. Though he was wont to admit to it, Mordecai knew the majority of his youth was behind him, sacrificed a long while ago to the road that had led him through a number of paths to the present.

Idly, as he lounged across the stony perch, he silently pondered what sleep would bring to him. Though tired, he wasn't about to nod off by any means. It was a pleasant sort of tired, one brought to him by none other than the travel and the later climb of the terrain. It was a peaceful sort, a lulling comfort that had brought his gaze skyward with nothing more than the silence of the wilderness around him.

(im sorry if is not exactly how you described it, but i couldnt find out what was your whole point... )

Night has already fall, and it was warm enough for Niria to have her skills awakened. She kept on roaming quietly in search of a nice place to sleep.

The fact of walking among shadows of the wood just reminded her how she used to spend night with his brother... A tough stop, and Niria lifted her right paw, followed by a surrounding growl. "Its ok, im alone" She thought while keeping on walking. She hadn't walked for a long time when she realised she wasn't. A relaxed breath from a high part of the woods caught her attention and she suddendly was creeping to his direction, trying to keep out of sight until she had seen the other wolf.

She saw then a brown wolf perched, semmed to be sleep. Niria curious stared with green glittering eyes at the jumble of fur, and after a second, she laid down like feeling consoled by that calm of the stranger. She wasn't going to be able to sleep. A quiet lullaby grew from her throat by instinct...
Other than a couple of past and present tense errors you did fine! Mordecai is stargazing... which I think is estrella contemplando in Spanish? It has been over ten years since I took it in secondary school.

To the common passerby, Mordecai would have appeared asleep. But he was far from it in all truth. Various tales from the past were stirred up by his silent observation of the night sky, many of them riddled with holes from the long time it had been since he had dwelled upon them. It had been a long time since he had family around to repeat them and so like many things, time had allowed them to erode away.

Much like his contemplation eroded his awareness of his surroundings; the quiet approach of the younger wolf was hidden beneath his thoughts. It wasn't until she had unceremoniously plopped down near him that Mordecai took note of her and the murmuring sway of her growl. He listened for no more than a few moments. "Can't sleep?"

When Niria heard the wolf's deep voice, she stopped growling and turned her ears to the stranger. As if nothing had happened, Niria kept quiet waiting watchfully for some random agresive attack from him. But nothing happened....

The idea of another person hearing her, made her blush. "Yes... I mean, no...." words just didn't want to go out properly. She breath calmly "I guess Im not the kind of wolf who likes to sleep at nights..." Her voice got quiet while saying it. She stared at her partner, searching for something to understand what he was thinking on, but they had just "met" and it was a bit difficult.

She sat down, with her tail around her legs feeling herself accepted in some way by the calm of the wolf. "Can you?"
She shuffled, surprised unquestionably by the fact that he had never been asleep in the first place. Mordecai offered her a smile; he hadn't meant to startle her. But in light of her stammering words, she recovered easily and delved into an explanation he could agree with. Some wolves were just not ones to sleep easily through the night. He knew some did not sleep at all. But himself?

"It just depends on the night for me," he answered with a shrug of his furry shoulders. "Tonight seemed like a nice night to stargaze, rather than sleep." He knew rest would come eventually, but to him the night was still relatively young. There was much time left before he would resign to sleeping. With a tilt of his head, he opted for introductions to get them past the start of their awkward encounter. "What's your name? I'm Mordecai."
Stargaze?... she looked up to the sky. Among the leafs of the trees, she were able to see tiny lights sparkling over the dark blue night. All her fears disappeared, just leting see the puppy she was still inside.

"...I'm Mordecai" woke her up. She was now seeing the brown wolf smilling at her. Probably waiting for something, a sign of life from her. "Im Niria..." she smiled with delay " but it's ok to call me Nini, I guess. We are on the same pack, after all"
As she looked skyward, he did the same. Once more, Mordecai found himself captivated by the sprawl of pinpoint light above him. Yet it was a brief captivation, as his attention turned back to the pale colored wolf to his side. Her return introduction seemed a bit awkward, but he supposed it came with the territory. She was new within the ranks of the Plateau and in turn, perhaps did not know what to expect of the wolves she could encounter therein.

"It's nice to meet you," he answered with a friendly wave of his tail across the damp ground. "I assume you haven't been here long then?" But then again, he decided to find out how new she was. Mordecai had not been there long himself, though he was no stranger to the area. If not for Dante, he would not have considered the Plateau at all.
Mordecai looked acceptable. Niria knew that appearance can trick you, buy own experience, then she opted out keeping distance. Although she always tried to cover her with her tail, she was now answering Mordecai's wave with it. She didn't know how to lie.

"Is it as obvious?... I've been here for one moon now, more or less"
. A brief shiver shaked Niria's body, it wasn't cold though. They seemed to be alone, and the silent was just disturbed by creepy owls, little animals, and they. "You are officialy the first mate I meet from Blacktail" She stood up while saying it, with regenerated strength "Do you feel like having a walk?" She just wanted to run, with or without him.
Though he opted not to comment on it, it would have seemed that they had been apart of the pack roughly the same amount of time. Yet they contrasted one another well; Mordecai had met a fair share of the pack one way or another. He presumed other than meeting Dante, she had stayed hidden away. "I wouldn't say it's obvious," he started off by commenting, "I just haven't seen you before." In all fairness, there was a good majority of the Plateau he had not met. Wanderlust was not a thing easily shook and Mordecai spent a great deal of time beyond the borders of their pack. This time around his wanderlust would not be the thing he gave up so readily.

And then, as she rose, his thoughts were confirmed. She must have had stayed hidden away, no doubt shy. He felt as though his questions now were probing too much and when she queried him if he felt like a walk, Mordecai balked on the answer. Normally he would have agreed, but this time he felt she sought an exit and was merely paying him a courtesy by trying to excuse herself. "I'm quite content here, so if you're heading off go right ahead." He would take no offense to her excusing herself and hoped the smile he offered would be received as such.
it was a short meeting, with lot of mystery! more or less, i made up Niria's past while rolling with u, thanks :)

Niria was actually hoping having company that night, or at least that's what she thought. Dark memories were just growing inside her, prooving in some way her weakness. Feeling guilty for the scene, she just smiled in return. "Ok then" thanks i guess... "maybe... another day. Not in the middle of the night"

She make sure once more there was noone around them, shaked her tail shyli and started run leaving behind her Mordecai. She run and run, until feel alone again. She and the night, and the creepy owls, and the tiny animals... "It's ok to run" whispered to herself. She knew it wasn't, but noone can defeat the past, and memories are something that follows you to the grave. "It's ok to run..." She took a deep breath, and howled. Maybe tomorrow will be a great day, maybe those feeling of loneliness and anger will dissapear with the sun. Maybe deer flys.
