Angry gekkering (Sound like yipping and howling and growling all in one) was hardly heard beneath the howling of the wolves setting their claim not for from Wapun Meadow, but was there never less. The two males were locked in combat as Kesik sought to protect his territory, in the end he was successful. He watched happily as the red fox suddenly broke away and disapeared into the undergrowth, Kesik sending some choice vocals after him.
Among these was a scream, with to other ears may sound like a human baby being tortured, or an old man being burned alive. To Kesik, it was normal, though the piercing scream sounded like pure agony to other ears.
Male foxes had caught the sent of Autumn, and though they were few Kesik still had to deal with a few contenders to her love, although he was sure that she wouldn't go off with some other male.
