the gal woke up with a start, disoriented, her thoughts fuzzy. it felt as if she had just woken up from a strange dream, sort of. but this was now reality, she could tell. her clear blue orbs blinked up at the cloudy blue sky, squinting as a beam of warm sunlight streamed into her eyes. um... what?

where had she been earlier? she recollected memories of a friend she'd met, cara, talking to a bird, flying with her, cannonballing into an icy lake, redhawk caldera, a stench of skunk spray... then what? prima didn't really remember much more. so she set off with a shrug.

where was she? she was by an ocean, she knew, but she had no idea how she had gotten here. she had no idea. but with a roll of her slim shoulder, she turned and waded down to the ocean. the waters were calm, for now.
Finally. Finally, the young seal had made it made to the sea. The sight of it alone was enough to cause tears of joy to prick at the corners of her eyes, but she didn't let them fall. No, she held them in and gave a respectful bow to the sea, to Lir. It seemed as if it had been ages since she last laid her eyes on the beautiful waters, but they were still very well known to her. It might be different from the one back home, but all of the oceans were considered her home, and she could easily learn of each one and what makes them tick in a short span of time. One does not forget the place from which they come so quickly, after all. Without an ounce of hesitation, she took off towards the untamed waters, seal skin clutched securely between her jaws. One second her paws where hitting the sand along the shore, and the next her grey speckled body was in the sea. She waded out a bit, skin and fur flowing like one with the gentle waves, before stopping. All she did was stand there, looking out into the vast world that was the ocean, wondering what all lived within the newly found waters.

Having been far too caught up in her sheer excitement of meeting the sea once again, Muirgen had completely missed the other girl who had also waded into the calmed waters. It wasn't until she turned to the shore to head back and sunbathe did her sea green optics meet the other girl. Having not known she was there, her “sudden” appearance startled the child, but she quickly regained her composure and put on a small smile (which may have looked odd with the seal skin in her mouth). The new presence was a female, clearly, so she worried not of her skin being stolen. The selkie's legs continued to carry her back to shore after, and once her paws reached the sand she laid her skin down on the warm softness and sat upon it. The little girl hadn't bothered shaking the salty water from her coat, as she saw it as being welcomed upon her small frame.

the memories seemed distant, far away. she had no idea how long had passed since before, but it sure had been winter the last time she had been conscious. it wasn't as if she couldn't detect traces of winter within the waters she stood in, for it was still tinged with the icy chill, but she guessed that it had been months that had passed.

her nose caught a scent. it was fresh, nothing of the past. prima turned to see a soft-hued female with a speckled object in her maw... was it a piece of skin? glad to be within the presence of another, the pale fae moved out of the ocean, padding behind the female before she called out a "hi, there!"
The voice of the other girl brought her sea green gaze to look upon her. Once deemed friendly enough, the child offered her a smile and a steady wag of her tail. “Hello,” she returned, glad to have someone to speak with. Perhaps the wolf was one of the sea, as she was. Muirgen hoped so, but didn't expect anything. So far, she'd met only one who was born from the ocean, and they hadn't exactly seen eye to eye. The girl, who had spoken with a rather thick accent, viewed the sea as a woman, where the selkie saw it to be a man. In the end, the seal had decided to use neutral pronouns when addressing him, so as not to offend or upset the other girl. To keep from something like that possibly happening once again, the speckled girl did not bring of the waves as being truly alive. All she did was smile and greet the light bodied female, who had also seemed to like the salty waters.

Do you like the sea?” Muirgen asked, finding the question to be a very important one. If someone liked the sea, then they couldn't possibly be a bad person, right? How naïve her young mind was, and how trusting she could be. Some days it seemed as if she shouldn't be permitted to do anything without supervision from a trusting adult. Sadly, though, their was no one there to tell her who was trustworthy and who was not, but in her mind the stranger came off as being a kind soul. “I am Muirgen Selchidh,” she said soon after, not wishing to come off as rude by not giving her name.
